\nThe Lead Developer will bring Academic Approach’s Learning Management System to life. We’re tech savvy but we need help taking our vision and product to the next level. As the Lead Developer, you will help to create and maintain products that inspire and transform students’ and schools’ exam readiness and college readiness and in doing so, will forever change a student’s trajectory towards college success.\n\nThe Lead Developer will need to be a self-starter that is confident in their coding capabilities, a creative thinker, a skilled developer, and a great communicator. You will be the lead developer at Academic Approach, a company that is trusted throughout the education community for its expertise, professionalism, and care for students. You will have a great opportunity to take on increasing leadership roles, including the potential to build a team around you and eventually be considered for a Chief Technology Officer position.\n\nThe position will be based out of our Chicago office. However, we are flexible if the candidate would rather work out of our New York office or remotely.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n\n* Design, create, and maintain a web-based test prep and learning management system that is currently in development\n\n* Provide technical ownership and oversight across all areas of application development from requirements gathering through delivery\n\n* Oversee and perform development in PHP\n\n* Design, code, test, debug, and document software according to the functional requirements\n\n* Oversee and perform analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of errors\n\n* Work closely with the contracted development and design team\n\n* Effectively manage time to include work on multiple projects, tight deadlines, and prioritize assignments as necessary\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
