Background Information - Job-specific\n\nOffice of Information and Communications Technology (OICT) / Enterprise Application Centre-Asia (EAC-Asia)\n\nIn 2014 EAC-Asia was established to serve as Asia-Pacific hub to build enterprise applications for the United Nations Secretariat. The staff being located in New York, Valencia, and Bangkok, EAC-Asia oversees the development and maintenance of enterprise applications such as iNeed Customer Relationship Management system (iNeed), Electronic Fuel Management System 2 (eFMS-2), Electronic Contingency-Owned Equipment (eCOE), and Electronic Rations Management System (eRMS) among others. \n\nCore enterprise application solutions have been built upon Siebel CRM public sector, Oracle-based identity management systems, JEE Spring Framework, PeopleSoft, SAP and Android/iPhone mobile platforms. \n\n\nThe position is home-based. This is a position in UNOPS for supporting projects carried out for the United Nations Secretariat and located in the United Nations Enterprise Application Centre: Asia (EAC-Asia).  The incumbent of this position will be a consultant of UNOPS under its full responsibility.\n\n\n\n\n\n Functional Responsibilities\n\n\n\nWith the direction of the project manager, the incumbent is expected to undertake the following duties:\n\n\n* \n\nDefine detailed requirements for improving processes and systems, reducing their costs, enhancing their sustainability, and the quantification of potential business benefits. \n\n\n* \n\nAnalyse business processes, including recognition of the potential for automation of the processes, assess costs and potential benefits of the new approaches considered and, where appropriate, manage change, and assist with implementation. \n\n\n* \n\nWork towards the retention of compatibility with enterprise and solution architectures, and the adhere to corporate standards within constraints of cost, security and sustainability.\n\n\n* \n\nPerform feasibility studies, systems analyses, design, development and implementation of new moderately complex systems and/or participate as a member of a development team responsible for key components of complex systems such as customer relationship management or enterprise resource planning.\n\n\n* \n\nDevelop detailed system specifications and other functional specifications and user documentation for key systems.\n\n\n* \n\nProvide specialized advice to users, analyze their needs and translate them into new applications; identify problems in integrating and linking application systems.\n\n\n* \n\nOrganize and carry out unitary and integrated tests, design and use test bases; assist users in acceptance tests.\n\n\n* \n\nDevelop training materials, operating and operating manuals; train staff in assigned systems.\n\n\n* \n\nConduct research, analysis and evaluation of new technologies and make recommendations for their deployment.\n\n\n* \n\nPerform other related duties as may be reasonably required and in line with the incumbent’s scope of services above.\n\n\n\n\n\nIn addition, the incumbent will: \n\n\n* \n\nTake responsibility for investigative work to determine business requirements and specify effective business processes, through improvements in information systems, information management, practices, procedures, and organisation change;\n\n\n* \n\nSelect the most appropriate means of representing business requirements in the context of a specific change initiative;\n\n\n* \n\nDrive the requirements elicitation process where necessary, identifying what stakeholder input is required; \n\n\n* \n\nSet local or team-based standards for programming tools and techniques, advises on their application and ensures compliance; \n\n\n* \n\nContribute as a full member of cross-functional teams to provide innovative user experiences for existing and new product offerings;\n\n\n* \n\nWork and collaborate effectively with the IT and business teams in a highly agile environment where innovation is valued;\n\n\n* \n\nParticipate in testing and acceptance processes;\n\n\n* \n\nObserve defined methodology and standards.\n\n\n\n\n\nMonitoring and Progress Controls\n\n\n\n* \n\nTimely resolution of issues with high rate of business clients’ satisfaction\n\n\n* \n\nOn time delivery of high-quality software with less defects introduced in the production environment\n\n\n* \n\nTimely delivery of properly configured modules aligned with the specifications, quality, and deadlines\n\n\n* \n\nProvision and updates of quality assurance standard operating manual\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Education/Experience/Language requirements\n\n* FEMALE CANDIDATES ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO APPLY\n* CANDIDATES WITH NO UNITED NATIONS OR UNOPS EXPERIENCE ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO APPLY\n\n\nEducation\n\n\n\n* A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information management, mathematics, economy, business administration or related field is required.\n\n\n\n\n\n* Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics or related field is highly desirable and may substitute for some of the required years of experience.\n\n\n\n\nWork Experience\n\nRequired:\n\n\n\n* \n\nMinimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in CRM development with at least one full life cycle Agile Scrum, Dynamics or Siebel CRM implementation is required. \n\n\n* \n\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis in an international environment is required. \n\n\n* \n\nExperience with Siebel configuration, EAI, Workflows, Business Services is required.\n\n\n* \n\nHands on experience with Siebel Open UI development with HTML5 is required. \n\n\n\n\n\nDesirable: (The following experience is optional. Candidates who do not have it are welcome to apply):\n\n\n\n* \n\nFunctional knowledge and experience with integration using EAI, VBC, web services, Seibel public sector and ERM services are highly desirable.\n\n\n* \n\nExperience in cross-browser and cross-device responsive website development is highly desirable.\n\n\n\n\n\nLanguage Requirements\n\n\n\n* Fluency in English  (write, read, speak) is required. \n\n\n\n\n\n* Knowledge of another United Nations official language is an advantage.\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on previous jobs related to Design, Digital Nomad jobs that are similar:\n\n $60,000 — $120,000/year\n
