What youโll do\n\n \n\n \n\nBecome part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:\n\nAs the Senior Engineering Manager โ Mobile Products & Platform, you will play a critical role in driving the development and delivery of our mobile applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and user experience. You will lead multiple teams of mobile engineers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to help them excel and grow in their careers. Some of the key products as part of digital portfolio are โ mobile and desktop applications, vehicle connectivity solutions, marketing tools, merchandise offerings, mapping services, route optimization, EV charging services and more. You will work with engineering leaders, senior engineers, and cross-functional partners to define the mobile engineering strategy and lead the execution of the multiple products, platform and systems. At the same time, youโll have plenty of opportunities to be hands-on building key systems and will be directly responsible for the successful delivery of complex and large-scale technical efforts as well acting as a mentor and leader for other engineers.\n\n\n* Lead and manage a team of mobile engineers responsible for the design, development, maintenance and release of our iOS and Android applications.\n\n* Set clear goals, priorities, and expectations for the Mobile teams, aligning them with the company's overall objectives and roadmap.\n\n* Drive the technical architecture and implementation of mobile platform and solutions from ground up, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and performant.\n\n* Collaborate closely with product managers, designers and other stakeholders to define requirements, scope, and timelines for mobile products, features and projects.\n\n* Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration , and continuous improvement within the Mobile products and platform team, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing.\n\n* Provide regular feedback and performance evaluations to team members, coaching and mentoring them to help them reach their full potential.\n\n* Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in mobile development, advocating for the adoption of new tools and techniques as appropriate.\n\n* Serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert on mobile platforms, representing the Mobile products and platform team in cross-functional meetings and discussions.\n\n\n\n\nLocation & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events occasionally. This role will be based out of a Scout Motors location in Fremont, CA or Remote based in the United States. This role is not eligible for remote work in New York City. Here's what else you'll bring:\n\n\n* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.\n\n* 8+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, with a focus on mobile development.\n\n* 3+ years of experience in a leadership or management role for mobile dev team, overseeing teams of engineers.\n\n* Proven track record of successfully delivering high-quality mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms.\n\n* Strong technical proficiency in mobile development technologies and frameworks, such as Swift, Kotlin, React Native, or Flutter.\n\n* Strong knowledge of mobile UI/UX design principles and best practices. Hands-on system design skills, comfortable with navigating codebases with different languages, frameworks and familiar with devops and mobile release practices.\n\n* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve their goals.\n\n* Experience operating in start-up settings, launching 0 to 1 product, and driving graduation to highly customized applications.\n\n* Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.\n\n* Passion for mobile technology and a commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences.\n\n* Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment is preferred.\n\n\n\nWhat you'll gain\n\nThe benefits of joining Scout include the chance to build products and a company from the ground up.
