Candidates based in New York City have the option of working on-site in the New York office.\n\n\nThe application deadline is April 19, 2024.\n\n\n\nResponsibilities\n* Work closely with the design team and newsroom to enhance articles, social media, and basic data viz, plus complete an art direction project.\n* Articles: Use photos and vector elements to create bespoke lead images for stories published by The Athletic.\n* Social: Use type, photos and vector elements to create posts for Instagram, Twitter and other social media platforms.\n* Graphics/Data viz: Learn how to use our intuitive chart building tool to create basic data visualizations.\n* Art Direction: Complete an art direction project by commissioning an illustrator to create original artwork.
