Remote Carrier Operations Manager

Through Shippo, e-commerce businesses, marketplaces, platforms and a variety of logistics infrastructure providers are able to connect to shipping carriers around the world from one API and dashboard. We provide our customers with the most competitive shipping rates, print labels, automated international documents, shipment tracking, facilitate the returns process and more.\n\n\nShippoโ€™s product integrates with dozens of carriers. We are now looking for a Carrier Operations Manager to project manage and program manage various workstreams related to these integrations. This role has an important internal and external component. Internally, you will project manage cross-functional workstreams related to our shipping carrier integrations. In particular, you will be working with the finance, product, engineering, and carrier teams. Externally, you will work hand-in-hand with carriers. You will be a vital member of the Carriers team and reporting to the Senior Director of Carrier Partnerships.\n\n\n\nShipping & handling responsibilities \n* Operationalize cross-functional changes with carriers\n* Build and own the cross-functional new carrier integration playbook\n* Own and help resolve issues to improve carrier performance\n* Own and help resolve issues to improve billing related to carrier performance\n* Audit carrier program performance\n* Own dispute resolution with carriers, and resolve refunds and surcharges\n* Point-person with Carriers on fraud incidents or terms violations \n\n\n\nDo you tick the boxes?\n* Experience with project and program management in complex environments\n* Strong communication skills, both written and oral\n* You are organized, and complexity doesnโ€™t scare you \n* Strong analytically - you like getting your hands on raw data to analyze and use to produce actionable insights (SQL or similar experience required) \n* Familiarity with API and debugging is a strong plus \n* You are curious by nature and love to research and deeply understand topics\n* Experience in the shipping or e-commerce industry\n\n\n\n\n$110,000 - $149,000 a year\nOur Compensation Shippolicy:\nHere at Shippo, we believe compensation is a custom experience and we are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The standard base + variable pay range for this role is min $110k to a max $149k annual. We tend to anchor our pay in the middle of this range ($130k mid) with most offers that we make.
