Our product today is a finance department in a box for startups – we take over management of all accounting and finance tasks, allowing entrepreneurs to focus on their product and growth while OpStart keeps their books clean and compliant. Delivering this product involves a combination of manual processes, software automation, and communication with customers. This engineer will help us build and maintain a seamless Client experience. The Engineering Manager will lead a team of engineers in designing, developing, and maintaining our company's core products. This role requires a solid technical background and excellent leadership and communication skills. You will report directly to the CTO.

Key Responsibilities
You lead a team of seven engineers in product development
Communicate effectively with other departments, including product and tax operations
Collaborate with other managers to develop and implement company-wide engineering strategies
Participate in the hiring and training of new engineers
Mentor and coach team members to help them reach their full potential
Keep up to date with the latest advancements in technology and incorporate them into our products
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years of experience in a leadership role
Strong technical background in software development, experience with TypeScript, Node.js, React, AWS
Experience with agile development methodologies
Experience in managing remote teams
Advanced proficiency in English; German is a bonus
Living in CET +-3h

Next, you'll be working on the collaborative curation and annotation workflows and on the sync between Discord and Memex Spaces to automatically extract links and conversations from there.
You’ll be the 3rd person joining our 2-person engineering team and will mainly work on the feature development. Upcoming are improvements to the collaboration experience, image support and the Discord sync.
While we use React, Typescript, Firebase and React Native, we’re not looking for a checklist of technologies. We’re looking for people who can demonstrate experience and deep knowledge about programming and the surrounding skills to ship projects. (We’re not open to junior positions at this moment.)
This means the ability to analyze problems, communicate how you’re going to solve them, the trade-offs involved with your approach, converting that into well-written code that your colleagues will have a good time continuing on and transferring knowledge. Help triage, debug and pull engineers when necessary, to mitigate incidents and solve implementation challenges
Research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and debug customer issues encountered by our customers during POCs / pilots and implementations / integrations, as well as during production phase.
Help do training for POCs and implementations assisting Delivery / Project Managers in the onboarding process.
Develop and contribute to internal and external knowledge bases
Be a champion for Incode’s customers and hold our teams to a high standard of customer service
Requirements
BS degree in Computer Science or in related field
Minimum 5-years’ experience in similar roles, ideally in an enterprise SaaS environment
Experience in integration and implementation of web-based platforms and mobile apps
Understanding of APIs, SDKs, microservices, and cloud computing technology
Familiarity with AWS and Docker is a plus
Experience with swift, java, java script.
Experience with mobile app frameworks such as react native, flutter, angular is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
Passion for customer service and ownership of the customer experience including comprehensive issue resolution
Understanding of support organizations and key indicators that drive supportability
Proficient English, fluent Spanish is a big plus
Working knowledge of biometrics or identity software is ideal
Proven track record of resolving issues and risks in a cross functional and collaborative way.
Confident, and you easily build relationships when working with your customers and internal partners.
Naturally curious, eager to learn and proactive in sharing knowledge with others.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency in driving projects to completion.
Highly motivated, able to multi-task and be resourceful.
