Stardog is hiring a
Remote Senior Software Engineer Team Lead Front End

Stardog, the leading Enterprise Knowledge Graph platform, turns data into knowledge to power more effective digital transformations. Industry leaders including Bayer, Bosch, eBay, NASA, and Raytheon use Stardog to create a flexible data layer that can support countless applications. One of Fast Company's prestigious Most Innovative Companies, Stardog is a fast-growing venture-backed company headquartered in Arlington, VA with a globally distributed team.\n\nThe "Suite" of Stardog front end tools serves as the face of our Platform and is comprised of Stardog Studio and Stardog Explorer. Studio provides an IDE-like experience for developers to execute and debug queries and manage Stardog itself while Explorer provides non-technical users a way to search, browse, and explore their Knowledge Graph. Next up is a new tool that will let architects and other subject matter experts visually design and build their Knowledge Graph from the ground up.\n\nWe're looking for a talented individual to be a new team lead, working closely with the VP Engineering, Product Manager, and the rest of the development team, to help us achieve our vision.\n\nAs a Team Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating the team, conducting 1:1's, managing sprints, mentoring your teammates, conducting performance reviews, etc. But, this is a player/coach role, so you will spend time designing and building new features as well. You should expect to spend a lot of time engineering, maybe even the majority, but the responsibilities of being the lead means you will be in meetings, you will deal with HR, there may even be paperwork. You can expect to spend between 10 and 40% of your time on those responsibilities. Therefore, we expect to see leadership experience on your resume.\n\nOur stack is written with Typescript using React, so we're expecting you to be familiar with those technologies. Bonus points if you're familiar with Node.js, Redux, Cypress, and Webpack. Even more of a bonus if you know Sass, or just have some background in UX and design and are familiar with tools like Figma or Sketch.\n\nNo degree? No problem. Having a piece of paper with some fancy words on it like "Computer Science" is great, but not a requirement. You can be an engineer without an engineering degree. What we're looking for is an experienced engineer, who has guided a team before, to come in, work hard, and be passionate about solving our user's problems. We are looking for real engineering work as well as demonstrable experience and skills in a leadership capacity.\n\nWe are a remote-first company. You should be comfortable with, and have experience working remotely. You must have strong communication skills as much of our interactions will be over email, chat, and PR where it's harder to get your point across. Most of the team is in the EST (UTC-5) time zone, so the closer the time zone alignment, the better.\n\nWe will expect to see code! Don't be shy about sharing your work. You can even check out some of ours.\n\nAnd if you want to see what you'll be working on, check out Explorer. If you want to learn about the kinds of scale challenges we're building for, read about our Trillion Edge graph. And If you are curious about what it's like to work here, check out a post from our CTO and co-founder that talks about our culture, or read the engineering team's blog. \n\nLastly, you'll get great benefits, a yearly continuing education stipend, flexible PTO options, and the ability to work whenever and wherever you prefer.\n\nStardog is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer. Individuals seeking employment at Stardog are considered without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on previous jobs related to Front End, Developer and Executive, Senior, Engineer, Digital Nomad jobs that are similar:\n\n $63,750 — $110,000/year\n \n\n#Location\nFlexible

\nSyncSmart.io, a Lynton brand, is looking for a talented frontend engineer to join their integration app product engineering team. We're a "startup within an agency" - productizing our expertise from 10+ years building custom HubSpot integrations for growing businesses. We use cloud-based technology to launch scalable integration apps to thousands of HubSpot users worldwide. \n\nWe're building our app framework on the HubSpot CMS with nodejs serverless functions, reactjs, mongodb, and other rest apis. The app is in its early stages being built on contract by an experienced senior engineer. You will be our first frontend engineer and primarily responsible for the success and growth of our frontend app.\n\nThe ideal SyncSmart frontend engineer is:\n\n\n* Experienced in responsive design, reactjs, html, css, and javascript.\n\n* An independent, creative problem-solver and self-starter who learns new systems and technologies quickly. \n\n* Familiar with agile/scrum. We work in 2-week sprints and we strive for 100% burndown every sprint.\n\n* A strong communicator who self-documents their work, willing to help out a team member, can explain complex technical concepts to business users, and doesn't mind creating the occasional demo video\n\n* A team player: our web apps are tightly integrated with our backend integration technology, requiring constant communication with our integration app engineering team.\n\n* Growth-driven: passionate about helping customers grow their business and aligned with the growth goals of our team\n\n* A constant learner, always pushing themselves to stay on the forefront of tech trends and best practices\n\n\n\n\nOur tools and technologies include: javascript, lodash, moment.js, request.js, nodejs, mongodb, rest apis, json, jsonpath, odata, postman/insomnia, swagger, Google Cloud Platform, Heroku, Amazon AWS, and Azure. Javascript and API experience is a must; all others are a nice-to-have and plenty of training will be available.\n\nCore values\n\nWe hire and fire based on our core values. We expect you will too. You will understand:\n\n\n* Dive right in: we’re in a fast-paced, competitive industry. We value people who can immerse themselves without being afraid of new technology or process. \n\n* Solve the unsolvable: we tackle some of the toughest challenges for our clients, and build some of the industry’s most innovative solutions. We must know when to exercise this talent, and apply our problem-solving abilities to the best opportunities.\n\n* We before me: we don’t let our ego get in the way of our company’s success.\n\n* Teach as we learn: we’re in a constant state of learning at Lynton. It’s important that we all reap the rewards of our growth journey.\n\n* Question to understand: asking the right questions, and listening to others - our customers, our team, and our community - is critically important in guiding our decision-making and company strategy. \n\n* Growth driven: we know that our organization and everyone within it has the potential to develop, grow, and learn. We commit to each other, take risks, accept our failures, and encourage determination, so we can continually push the boundaries and move forward.\n\n\n\n\nWhy our team loves working at Lynton:\n\n\n* Competitive compensation, benefits, and bonus program\n\n* We’re always learning\n\n* Paid training (online courses, instructor-led, and conferences)\n\n* Remote/virtual workplace\n\n* Annual company retreat\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on previous jobs related to Front End, Executive and Engineer jobs that are similar:\n\n $70,000 — $100,000/year\n
