In this role, you will work and empower the broader data science and academic research community to bring innovative solutions to the Forta ecosystem through prototyping, educational content, research papers & blog posts, data curation, and data science competitions.\n\nThe ideal candidate is passionate about how data science can help derive insights that can protect web3 ecosystem and is thrilled to work with a global data science and research community.\n\nResources:\n\n\n* Data Science and Machine Learning on Forta\n\n* Kaggle Competition: It's Time to Protect Web3 with Forta\n\n* Forta Labeled Datasets\n\n\n\n\nWhat you’ll be doing\n\n\n* Analyze blockchain and attack data\n\n* Prototype a broad range of models: from supervised to unsupervised models to detect attacks, rank alerts, provide context to alert data\n\n* Empower the data science community to protect web3 (e.g. through data set curation, prototyping, contest preparation)\n\n* Work with data science and engineering community to evolve the Forta Network’s data science and machine learning capabilities\n\n* Facilitate a research agenda with the data science and academic research community (e.g. through RFPs and regular community calls)\n\n* Educate the broader community on data science approaches to web3 through statistics and data science (e.g. through research papers & blog posts, conference talks, social media presentations)\n\n\n\n\nIdeally, you have:\n\n\n* 5+ years of professional experience in Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning, Anomaly Detection, Clustering, Time Series Analysis, and related areas.\n\n* Expertise with Python and experience with other scripting languages (e.g., R, or similar).\n\n* Experience with libraries such as Pandas, Keras, Pytorch, Scikit-learn etc. to build ML models.\n\n* Attention to detail with self-discipline and a drive for results.\n\n* Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguous situations and with geographically distributed teams.\n\n* Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field or equivalent experience.\n\n* Excellent writing and communication skills\n\n* Ability to convey complex technical topics into easy to understand materials\n\n* Strong personal organizational skills and a love for self-time management.\n\n* Passion and/or experience with open-source or cybersecurity or similar highly technical industry is preferred.\n\n* Technical knowledge of blockchain, DeFi and the Ethereum ecosystem is preferred.\n\n\n\n\nAt Nethermind, we are an equal opportunity employer and we value different perspectives.
