Full-time remote work optional with occasional travel to team offices as needed.\n\n\nAbout the Role\nYou will be a full-spectrum product manager that will drive ideas into a modern insurance platform focusing on tools that agents, fleets and underwriters use to better understand risk, request and manage insurance coverages, manage safety and more. This includes building on our proprietary web application with a mix of web-based features and integrations between various Core Systems components, proprietary and third party APIs. Interface directly with engineering teams using agile methodologies like scrum, kanban, squads, and guilds. Manage epics and stories from inception to deployment. Collaborate with designers on mockup/prototype creation, user research. Coordinate roadmap objectives and initiatives that satisfy customer needs and align with the business vision. The product manager will have a focused understanding of the commercial auto insurance industry to design an innovative experience that caters to a key demographic. \n\n\n\nWhat You'll Do\n* Manage the vision, strategy, and execution of major initiatives for your product area\n* Build and prioritize the backlog for your team from epics to stories using ProductBoard and Jira\n* Manage the execution of your backlog, collaborating with our Business teams, Design, Engineering, QA, and Marketing\n* Writing requirements from brainstorm sessions and mockups\n* Writing functional documentation of the platform and web applications\n* Holding rituals with the team including backlog grooming and  sprint planning sessions \n* Advocate for your product area by providing regular demos of new features and creating relevant marketing/training communications for users\n* Scrum master: sprint burndowns, feature scoping, prioritization, retrospectives\n* Potential travel to agents, fleet offices, commercial auto stops, etc. for on-site research\n* Product launch and roll-out plans\n* Triage customer and end-user reported issues in collaboration with other product teams, QA and engineering\n* Create report metrics highlighting resource allocation and scoping trends\n* Competitive analysis research and documentation\n\n\n\nWhat You Have\n* 3+ years of product management experience, 5+ years experience in Product Ownership/Business Analysis or proven progression through the Product Management profession \n\n\n* Strong ability to understand problems and break down the scope of solutions\n\n\n* High level of confidence when prioritizing enhancements and new features for delivery\n* Excellent written and verbal communication\n* Proven track record of backlog management and feature delivery\n* Manage multiple projects using agile methodologies\n* Innovative product vision\n* Analytically creative\n\n\n\nPreferred Skills\n* Exposure to the property insurance industry\n* Logistics, insurance, and/or FinTech industry experience is desired but not required\n* Startup experience\n* Proficiency with Jira\n\n\n\nBenefits\n* Competitive salary & stock options\n* Medical, dental & vision insurance\n* 401k with company match\n* Unlimited PTO\n* Flexible office policy\n\n\n\n\n\nIf you are interested in this position, please contact our Senior People Operations Specialist, Morgan Harrison.
