This person will play a key part in ensuring the quality and reliability of Trial Library’s suite of solutions to accelerate clinical trial recruitment. This role will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive testing strategies across our technology stack, including AI-powered services, clinical trial search, and user-facing applications. This position is critical to maintaining the highest quality standards as we work towards our company mission.\n\n\n\n\n* Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and integration tests to ensure comprehensive testing coverage across our technology stack\n* Develop and implement QA processes and best practices to improve overall product quality\n* Maintain thorough documentation of testing procedures and results\n* Maintain automated testing frameworks for backend services (Python), and frontend applications (Typescript)\n* Design and implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) testing pipelines\n* Conduct API, performance, and security testing to ensure system reliability and data integrity\n* Collaborate with product and engineering to understand requirements and QA features to make sure they meet quality standards before release\n* Perform thorough regression testing to prevent new code changes from affecting existing functionality\n* Identify, document, and track bugs in our issue tracking system (Jira)\n* Work with healthcare and clinical trial datasets, ensuring compliance with privacy and regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA)\n\n\n\n\n* Bachelor's degree or similar in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field\n* 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with expertise in both manual and automated testing\n* Proficiency in both Python and Typescript\n* Experience with test automation frameworks for Python (e.g., Pytest) and TypeScript (e.g., Jest, Cypress)\n* Experience with API testing tools and performance testing methodologies\n* Familiarity with relational database systems (e.g., Postgres)\n* Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Bitbucket)\n* Experience testing AI/ML models and systems is a significant plus\n* Experience with healthcare tech or clinical trials is a significant plus\n* Respect for compliance and privacy requirements in healthcare (e.g. HIPAA)\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur Core Values\n\n\n1. While keeping our current tool box up to date, we are open minded about trying new technologies and ideas that may better fit our needs.\n\nAt the highest level, our Ruby on Rails backend is hosted in AWS with our Angular frontend being served through a CDN. We process tasks asynchronously and leverage a frontend cache to help reduce network calls against our GraphQL APIs. Our Data Science team works off of a data lake, pulling dataframes into python for reporting and analytics.\n\nThis is the general idea and we’re happy to jump into all the details with you!\n\nDesired skills and experience:\n\n\nWe are using Angular 13 which means we hope you’ve had strong experience in TypeScript with modern web frameworks that utilize the virtual dom, change detection, and have explored Observables / Streams.\n\nWhen things get tough, we count on you to jump into the Chrome Debugger and utilize your underlying experience in JavaScript, HTML, and best practices using CSS.\n\nWe favor reusability, and share libraries across projects. You should have opinions on defining and maintaining shared resources and both internal and external libraries.\n\nIn delivering robust software, we expect you to bring some opinions about clean code, testability, and design patterns.\n\nWe use GraphQL as a query language for our API between frontend and backend. You should have experience utilizing APIs and designing contracts between engineering teams.\n\n\n\n\nHow we work:\n\nWe use scrum to organize into delivery teams which are autonomous, and responsible for holistically delivery features and pilots to our users. Our teams include fullstack, frontend, and backend engineers. We round out the team with a dedicated Scrum Master and Product Owner.
