LI.FI is hiring a
Remote Senior Fullstack Engineer

\nJob Description\n\n\nJumper is cryptoโ€™s everything-exchange powered by LI.FI. By building on the sophisticated cross-chain infrastructure of LI.FI, we offer a comprehensive multi-chain experience for any and every person in crypto to move and use their funds across chains as easily and flexibly as they desire.\n\n\nOur vision? We want to make multi-chain DeFi easy and fun!\n\n\nWhile we live under LI.FIโ€™s umbrella, we pride ourselves in our small but excellent and very agile team. Jumper already has over 100k active users, and still we are only now getting started to build it from the ground up. As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer you would be at the core of this new adventure - completely owning the realization of Jumperโ€™s underlying infrastructure and bringing new ideas to life!\n\n\n \n\n\nA quick run-down of the job\n\n\nWe are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer who will lead the design, development, and maintenance of our scalable and secure backend infrastructure. This includes the establishment of a completely new backend and a scalable infrastructure for Jumper. Additionally, you will be very hands-on in our frontend and the LI.FI widget integration in order to quickly ship new features. In this role, you are expected to split your work between frontend and backend. In order to move quickly, the emphasis initially will likely be on frontend work during the first few months, with a gradual shift towards backend responsibility over the near-term.\n\n\n \n\n\nWe are a small team, and every one of our engineers is expected to strongly contribute to Jumperโ€™s success by coming up with independent ideas and solutions to complex challenges. The current team includes: a Senior Full-Stack, a Junior Frontend Engineer, a Product Designer, a Technical Product Manager and a Business Lead. In addition, one more Full-Stack Engineer will be added to the team soon. In the near future, we would also love to see one of the Sr. Engineers to evolve into an engineering lead position for our small team.\n\n\n \n\n\nOur current stack:\n\n\n\n * Node.js running TypeScript code in Docker containers\n\n * NextJS and React.js\n\n * MongoDB and Redis\n\n * Github, Kubernetes, AWS and CloudFlare for our GitOps CD chain\n\n * Ether.js and Wagmi\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\nPlease note: You must be located in the EMEA region. Your application will not be considered if you're outside EMEA.\n\n\n \n\n\nWhat youโ€™ll do\n\n\n\n * Architecting and implementing scalable and robust infrastructure solutions that can handle growing user loads and evolving business needs (we are already used by over 100k monthly active users).\n\n * Developing and maintaining comprehensive test suites, including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests, to ensure the reliability of backend systems.\n\n * Design and develop high quality frontend applications that are testable and maintainable.\n\n * Be responsible for development of prototypes, new frontend features and React components.\n\n * Leading the design, development, and maintenance of a newly developed Jumper backend system and APIs.\n\n * Collaborate closely with the Software Engineers, Product Manager and Designers within your team.\n\n * Review the work of your teammates and support them in their growth through guidance and mentorship where needed.\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\nWhat makes a good candidate\n\n\n\n * Must be located in the EMEA region.\n\n * Effective communication skills (in English) with the ability to build relationships and work in a small but excellent team while self-guided on a day-to-day basis.\n\n * Extensive professional experience in a similar role (as senior or lead).\n\n * Experience in UX/UI development.\n\n * Experience in software design and architecture.\n\n * Knowledge of testing frameworks and principles.\n\n * Passion for new technologies and ability to autonomously evaluate them and make suggestions for improvement.\n\n * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science is a plus.\n\n * Previous working experience in the blockchain space or related technical understanding is a plus (especially with Wagmi).\n\n\n\n\n\nWe encourage you to apply if you feel your experience and skills equip you for this job but are not listed here!\n\n\n \n\n\nCompany culture\n\n\n\n * \nEmpowered teams: We take the best person with the right skills, and then inspire them to use them! We trust our team and give them the space and ownership to excel and achieve.\n\n * \nFlexible time management: We believe work should adapt to your life, not the other way around. We only schedule a few fixed meetings every week โ€“ you're free to arrange the rest of your time as you like.\n\n * \nInclusive culture: Itโ€™s our priority to make our whole team feel included, appreciated and respected. Our global, culturally diverse team is our most important asset.\n\n * \nRemote-friendly: Weโ€™re a fully remote, global company. As long as youโ€™re not on Mars (the WiFi is terrible we heard), being part of our team from the comfort of your own home works perfectly well for us.\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\nWhat youโ€™ll get\n\n\n\n * Entitlement to a work computer (choice of equipment).\n\n * Unlimited remote days and flexible working hours.\n\n * Annual team off-sites (Thailand was a blast last year & Vietnam will be even blast-ier).\n\n * An annual 1000โ‚ฌ personal development budget once you have worked 6+ months (pro-rated the first year).\n\n * A one-time 1000โ‚ฌ remote budget to use on co-working, office setup, etc.\n\n * Initial equity allocations once you have worked 6+ months.\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\nCompensation & Package\n\n\nBase package + equity \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Design, Crypto, React, Docker, Testing, Typescript, Senior, Engineer and Backend jobs that are similar:\n\n $70,000 — $110,000/year\n

Apply for this job

๐Ÿ‘‰ Please reference you found the job on Remote OK, this helps us get more companies to post here, thanks!

When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy equipment which they then pay you back for later. Also never pay for trainings you have to do. Those are scams! NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Posts that link to pages with "how to work online" are also scams. Don't use them or pay for them. Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. A good idea is to check the domain name for the site/email and see if it's the actual company's main domain name. Scams in remote work are rampant, be careful! Read more to avoid scams. When clicking on the button to apply above, you will leave Remote OK and go to the job application page for that company outside this site. Remote OK accepts no liability or responsibility as a consequence of any reliance upon information on there (external sites) or here.

Obol is hiring a
Remote Senior Frontend Engineer DApp Development

\nWho Are We?\n\n\nObol Labs is a remote-first research and software development team focused on Proof of Stake infrastructure for public blockchain networks. Specific topics of focus are Internet Bonds, Distributed Validator Technology, and Multi-Operator Validation. The core team includes 35 members spread across +14 countries.\n\n\nThe core team is building the Obol Network, a protocol to foster trust-minimized staking through multi-operator validation. This will enable low-trust access to Ethereum staking yield, which can be used as a core building block in various Web3 products.\n\n\nThe Network\n\n\nThe network can be best visualized as a work layer that sits directly on top of the base layer consensus. This work layer is designed to provide the base layer with more resiliency and decentralization as it scales. In this chapter of Ethereum, we will move on to the next great scaling challenge, which is stake centralization. Layers like Obol are critical to the long-term viability and resiliency of public networks, especially networks like Ethereum.\n\n\nObol as a layer is focused on scaling main chain staking by providing permissionless access to Distributed Validators. The network utilizes a middleware implementation of Distributed Validator Technology (DVT), to enable the operation of distributed validator clusters that can preserve validators' current client and remote signing configurations.\n\n\nSimilar to how roll-up technology laid the foundation for L2 scaling implementations, we believe DVT will do the same for scaling the consensus layer while preserving decentralization. Staking infrastructure is entering its protocol phase of evolution, which must include trust-minimized staking networks that can be plugged into at scale. We believe DVT will evolve into a widely used primitive and will ensure the security, resiliency, and decentralization of public networks.\n\n\nThe Obol Network develops and maintains three core public goods that will eventually work together through circular economics:\n\n\nThe DV Launchpad, a User Interface for bootstrapping and managing Distributed Validators\n\n\nCharon, a Golang based middleware client that enables validators to run in a fault-tolerant, distributed manner.\n\n\nObol Splits, a set of solidity contracts for the formation of Distributed Validators tailored to different use cases such as DeFi, Liquid Staking, and Fractionalized Deposits \n\n\n\n\nSustainable Public Goods\n\n\nObol is inspired by previous work on Ethereum public goods and experimenting with circular economics. We believe that to unlock innovation in staking use cases, a credibly neutral layer must exist for innovation to flow and evolve vertically. Without this layer, highly available uptime will continue to be a moat.\n\n\nThe Obol Network will become an open, community-governed, self-sustaining project over the coming months and years. Together we will incentivize, build, and maintain distributed validator technology that makes public networks a more secure and resilient foundation to build on top of.\n\n\nThe Role \n\n\nThe focus of this role is on developing and enhancing React-based web applications for interacting with the Ethereum blockchain to create Distributed Validators. This includes creating user-friendly interfaces, integrating with wallets, and ensuring the applications are absolutely secure and reliable.\n\n\nThe goal of this role is to enable the proliferation of Distributed Validators in the Ethereum Staking Ecosystem, by making them easy to create, view, understand, and interact with. This role requires working with agency and autonomy. It requires collaboration with cross-functional internal teams as well as dealing with external stakeholders. Obolโ€™s Distributed Validator Launchpad, Obolโ€™s static website, Obolโ€™s typescript packages, and other applications will be under this roleโ€™s remit. \n\n\n\nResponsibilities\n* Develop and implement new features for our web applications using React, showcasing your expertise in creating user-centric solutions.\n* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, designers, and QA engineers, to ensure seamless delivery of high-quality products.\n* Contribute to Obolโ€™s coding standards, design patterns, and development methodologies.\n* Drive innovation by researching and adopting the latest trends and technologies in the React ecosystem, ensuring our applications remain secure, competitive, and cutting-edge.\n* Act as a technical mentor for junior developers, providing guidance and support to help them grow and excel in their roles.\n* Collaborate with external partners integrating Obol technology into their dapps using the Obol SDK.\n* Take responsibility for maintaining and enhancing our current products, including our component library (obol-ui) and DApp (dv-launchpad).\n* Improve the accessibility of our interfaces to all types of internet users.\n* Harden the security of our React software and its supply chain.  \n\n\n\nRequirements\n* Professional experience in React-based Ethereum Application Development (examples below).\n* What we use for React Development: Typescript, Next.js, React Hook Form, SWR, Zustand, @headlessui/react, stitches.dev, tailwindCSS and others. \n* What we use for Ethereum Development: Foundry, Hardhat, Ethers.js, web3-react, @obolnetwork/obol-sdk, @metamask/eth-sig-util, @0xsplits/splits-sdk(-react), @gnosis.pm/safe-core-sdk, @synthetixio/synpress, @chainsafe/(bls/discv5/ssz) and others. \n* Previous delivery of react websites that enable non-custodial, wallet-based interaction with mainnet Ethereum or a similar EVM network with more than $100k in value handled. \n* Knowledge of JS/TS security and testing best practices.\n* Knowledge of JS/TS CI/CD best practices.\n* Experience working with Agile Software Development methodologies.\n* Web3 professional experience.\n* Proven ability to maintain and contribute to Open Source repos \n* Timezone between UTC-2 to UTC+3 \n\n\n\nNice to have\n* Ethereum staking experience.\n* Node.js or other backend development experience.\n* Solidity development experience.\n* Familiarity with docker and/or running servers.\n* SQL/NoSQL experience.\n* Experience working in a distributed remote team.\n\n\n\nBenefits\n* Fully Remote Working and flexible hours.\n* Meet the team at our Annual Offsites.\n* Chance to attend crypto and staking conferences.\n* Working with the purpose of decentralising Ethereum.\n* Generous paid time off.\n* Budget for equipment.\n* Budget for training or education.\n\n\n\n\n\nThank you for your interest. You will partner heavily with infrastructure and product engineering teams on the journey to build out a backend platform, unlock launch of new products and services, and solve the developer pain points of our monolith.\nThe Problems Youโ€™ll Solve\n\nAs an Engineering Manager in Developer Experience, youโ€™ll execute in one of the most impactful roles Carta engineering has to offer. Hereโ€™s a few examples of the problems youโ€™ll be asked to solve:\n\n\n* Assess technical risk: Your experience will be a major factor in empowering your team to isolate, and reduce, technical risk. You will fill blind spots for your engineers, helping form the critical bridge between product and engineering.\n\n* Drive accountability: Building more owners is as much of a Carta product problem, as it is part of a managerโ€™s responsibilities. You will work with internal stakeholders to better understand their needs, and with your team to create realistic expectations for project success.\n\n* Establish best practices: Engineering managers are the last line of defense for quality control, best practices and effective design strategies. Helping your team, and peer teams, navigate these challenges is core to the problem space for managers.\n\n* Improve performance: Your team is a reflection of you, your values, and your support. Your team will need regular mentorship, advice and feedback to operate effectively. Contributing to this space along with your leadership team, is part of effective management at Carta.\n\n* Expand collaboration: Business unit organizational models benefit from speed and autonomy, but absorb known trade-offs in company-wide collaboration. You will work with other engineering leaders in the org to discover, interview, and recruit great team members and build them up into the next all star player.\n\n\n\nAbout You\n\nHereโ€™s what inspires us about you:\n\n\n* You care deeply about software and the leverage that software brings. You can use your past experience building software to show your team the way in which they can improve building software\n\n* You are deeply passionate about developer experience. You can relate to developer pain points, and are able to offer solutions that bring immense usability and productivity gains\n\n* You are energized by, and capable of, super-charging the careers of those that report to you. Youโ€™ve been able to help mentor more junior engineers, and support more senior engineers in reaching their potential. Youโ€™ve directly managed teams for at least 2 years.\n\n* Youโ€™ve expanded the worldview of your teams, celebrated diversity of thought and background, and tied it all back through successful product launches in your past.\n\n* You recognize the power of ownership, and have lived examples of where ownership played central roles in your career- through software and through business.\n\n* You are willing and capable of getting in the trenches alongside your fellow engineers and reports. You lead by example, and take pride in your work.\n\n* You are exceptionally technical. You can describe complex ideas simply. You are just as capable working toward a long term road map as you are jumping into a fire to solve a problem.\n\n* You are as hungry to learn about our customers and business as you are about the latest stack or Docker release.\n\n* Preferably, exposure to AWS, Python, Django, Circle CI\n\n\n\nSalary\n\nCartaโ€™s compensation package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans.
