This role requires a board-certified MD or DO experienced in functional medicine who brings operational vigor and rigor to managing team members. This leader possesses deep experience in clinical operations, and brings a passion for enhancing business processes, for developing digital healthcare solutions, for ensuring quality health outcomes, and leading a team of virtual clinicians. \n\nThe role is key in driving Parsleyโ€™s goals for patient growth, patient experience, B2B client satisfaction, and employee engagement. It is also essential that the clinician in this role is a pro at doing the job as they guide others to excel in the collaborative practice of Functional Medicine.\n\nThe Medical Director is a member of the Leadership team and will serve as liaison between \n\n\n* the Executive team \n\n* the Leadership team (cross functional peer group)\n\n* the Clinician team (as the leader)\n\n\n\n\nThis role reports to the SVP, Clinical and Business Operations. The Senior Director, Pharmacy is a member of the WelbeHealth leadership team and partners with the Regulatory Compliance team in Medicare Part D oversight and collaborates with all stakeholders to promote the WelbeHealth values, team culture and mission.  \n\n Essential Job Duties:\n\n\n* Provide strategic leadership to the pharmacy department, setting clear goals and objectives aligned with the organization's mission and values.\n\n* Manage and oversee all aspects of pharmacy operations, including staffing, budgeting, inventory management, vendor management and regulatory compliance.\n\n* Oversight of contracted pharmacy comprehensive participant medication reviews and assessments to identify high-risk participants.\n\n* Establishes and oversees drug management program.\n\n* Monitors and analyzes provider and participant drug utilization patterns and produces utilization and clinical quality reports.\n\n* Serves as the Clinical Pharmacy subject matter expert and supports the plan in Part D report interpretation and makes recommendations for areas of focus to monitor.\n\n* Serves as pharmacy quality improvement educator and training resource to providers and participants.\n\n* Collaborates with the Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) on the implementation of clinical programs, reporting and analyses to assist with Medicare Part D oversight.\n\n* Maintains current knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and guidance.\n\n* Manage direct reports including hiring, training, supervising, and mentoring.\n\n* Ability to travel, be onsite for implementations of new markets, and cover nationally as WelbeHealth continues to expand.\n\n\n\n\nJob Requirements:  \n\n\n* Doctorate in Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution\n\n* Licensed by State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacist within all states that WelbeHealth has active centers\n\n* Minimum of five yearsโ€™ experience at managed care organization or Health Plan.\n\n* Minimum of seven yearsโ€™ experience as a clinical pharmacist required.\n\n* Medicare Part D experience preferred.\n\n* Experience with Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) systems.           \n\n* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.\n\n* Strong analytical and data gathering skills.\n\n* Two yearsโ€™ supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members.\n\n* Experience leading in a data-driven organization, leveraging reports and data to prioritize and manage people and projects.\n\n* Demonstrated ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.\n\n\n\n\nBenefits of Working at WelbeHealth: apply your clinical expertise in new ways as we rapidly expand.
