Remote Staff Developer Relations Engineer

\n\n\n\n\nThe role, in a nutshell:\n\nAs Developer Relations Engineer, youโ€™ll be part of the Chainguard Developer Enablement team, which supports the mission of securing the software supply chain through developer advocacy, product documentation, tutorials, courses, and workshops. Your role is to connect with, inspire, and educate developers about the power of Chainguard Images and Wolfi, a new security-first linux distribution. You will also serve as the voice of the community with Chainguard, delivering product feedback and advocating for the developer.\n\nYou are an experienced technologist who loves to support others. You get excited about sharing new tools and helping peer developers build effectively. Ideally, you have built production-quality software adhering to security recommendations, and have shared demos and talks at meetups and other events. You will have an opportunity to directly collaborate and innovate across the product and engineering teams to ensure we are supporting and continuing to build solutions that our customers love.\nWhat youโ€™ll do:\n\n\n* Define and execute initiatives to grow awareness and adoption of Chainguard Images and Wolfi\n\n* Build hands-on demos, integrations, technical material, and examples\n\n* Create content across multiple media, including blogs, talks, social media and videos related to Chainguard Images and Wolfi\n\n* Develop educational materials and run developer and customer workshops\n\n* Interact with users where they are, both online (e.g.: Reddit, Stack Overflow, Xwitter, podcasts) and in person (conferences, meetups, company talks)\n\n* Listen to, analyze, and disseminate relevant developer insights with the product and engineering teams, influencing the roadmap and product strategy\n\n* Review internal product and engineering design documents from the developerโ€™s perspective\n\n* Speak about Chainguard Images, Wolfi and related technologies at relevant community events; this includes both conceptual, high-level material and technical, hands-on training\n\n* Review issues and community forums related to Chainguard Images or Wolfi, smoothing the developer experience and helping solve recurring issues\n\n* Test and QA images and Wolfi and then submit bug reports and feature requests that help improve the developer experience\n\n* Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and sales to stay informed on feature work and got to market strategies\n\n\n\nWhat we're looking for:\n\n\n* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, build rapport and relate to developers, especially container users, in both written and verbal forms\n\n* Experience as a software developer who has worked with containers and containerized workloads, whether as part of a role or as an open source contributor \n\n* A solid understanding of containers and container-related technology\n\n* Familiarity with and knowledge of free and open source software, software package ecosystems, and Linux distributions\n\n* Preference for experience in the Python or Java programming language ecosystems\n\n* Knowledge related to software vulnerabilities and vulnerability management\n\n* Active contributor, member, or leader in one or more software or open source communities\n\n* Willing and able to travel up to 30% of the time for talks, conferences, and workshops\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Design, Python, Java, Sales, Engineer and Linux jobs that are similar:\n\n $52,500 — $100,000/year\n

You should have excellent business acumen, high standards, the ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders, and the desire to shape conversations on the future of education\n\nThis team member will be instrumental in driving business growth by building brand awareness for HyperionDev among the higher education industry and generating leads via multiple marketing channels.\n\nThis is a high exposure position that requires independent thinking, self-discipline and professionalism. The Enterprise Marketing Manager will be responsible for all aspects of demand generation - including initiating marketing campaigns ideas/concepts, planning and executing email marketing campaigns, mapping the customer marketing journey using account based marketing, assembling and organizing industry events, budgeting, stakeholder communication and invitations, reporting, travel arrangements and scheduling on platforms used to host the virtual events. \n\n \nRESPONSIBILITIES:\n\n\n* Events: Work alongside the University Partnerships team to drive planning and logistics for virtual and live events and conferences that HyperionDev attends, sponsors and hosts across geographies. Develop and deploy event promotions, gather data from attendees, coordinate speakers and work with internal stakeholders and sales to ensure timely follow-up.\n\n* Industry/B2B Marketing: Drive awareness, pipeline creation, and acceleration to drive new university partnerships in priority countries via integrated marketing plans.\n\n* Email Outreach: Design, lead and execute B2B email and lead acquisition campaigns\n\n* Content Creation: Create and promote high-quality content that engages stakeholders and audiences, both activities and events\n\n* Customer Case Studies: Work within the organization to secure approvals and logos from customers to create case studies; manage the case study review cycle\n\n* Working with leadership: Work with the university partnership leadership team across geographies to enhance marketing and outreach support and facilitate a seamless and coherent sales process. \n\n* Measuring success: Measure, analyze, report, and optimize the performance of integrated campaigns to ensure maximum ROI across all channels (webinars, email marketing, organic/paid media, etc)\n\n* Communicate campaign findings to marketing leadership, highlighting wins, losses, and opportunities to inform future strategy iteration\n\n\n\n\n \nREQUIREMENTS\n\nMinimum\n\n\n* 3+ years of B2B marketing experience in a fast-growth environment- managing enterprise/B2b marketing programs.\n\n* Knowledge of CRM, prospecting tools such as Hubspot, Nutshell, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and ZoomInfo and building reports/dashboards\n\n* Proven track record of managing enterprise marketing programs such as email campaigns, webinars, events, paid ads with focus on KPI measurement (e.g. MQLโ€™s, SALโ€™s)\n\n* Ability to work cross-functionally with people across the company to gather the necessary information to execute campaigns and programs\n\n* Demonstrated history of data-driven approach to demand generation\n\n* Background in building and analyzing reports in CRM and analytics software\n\n* Knowledge of account based marketing and how to market personas at large enterprise companies/universities\n\n* Excellent written and verbal communication skills\n\n* Experience with handling multiple projects at once and drive alignment across multiple stakeholders\n\n* Must be flexible to work in cross functional time zones.\n\n\n\n\n \n\nPreferred\n\n\n* A degree in Marketing, Communications and/or Events coordination\n\n* Prior experience working in education/with universities \n\n* Experience with Project Management tools like Asana, Basecamp and/ or Trello \n\n* Comfortable using Canva or other tools for design\n\n* Experience with contracting agencies, suppliers and freelancers\n\n* Self-starter, ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment\n\n\n\n \nBENEFITS\n\nHybrid working: We are a hybrid-friendly organisation and offer flexible work options.
