We like to plan processes intelligently to keep it that way. Our stack is very efficient, we sometimes deploy/release multiple times per day, which takes one click in GitHub.\n\n### Requirements\n- Feel comfortable taking a shaped spec of requirements and designs for a new feature to a deployable PR in Clojure(Script)\n- Propose, evaluate, discuss trade-offs of different architectures for a given feature\n- Write basic SQL queries and migrations (Postgres)\n- Peer-review PRs and give constructive feedback\n\n### Bonus (but not required)\nYou have some experience establishing and managing dev processes, or are motivated to expand into a leadership role in the near future. You would still be writing code, but also reviewing/merging PRs, releasing new app versions, onboarding new team members etc. If you're looking to take the next steps in your career, this is an especially great opportunity.\n\n## Apply now!\nIf you love Clojure/Script, have experience working with it, and want to work in a small, fast-paced team, on a great product, please apply! \n\nBe sure to mention the word **INFLUENTIAL** when applying to show you read the job post completely. ECi Software Solutions is hiring a
Remote Senior Developer

\nECI Mark Systems is seeking a talented Software Developer to join our MarkSystems development team to continue to provide the best in customer support to small and medium sized businesses\n\n\nWe have experienced consistent growth during the last decade and our user base requires a lot of our system. Scale, reliability, and innovation keep us learning daily. You will join our server-side team to enhance and maintain our server-side JVM based applications.\n\nMoving forward, the biggest challenge we face is scaling our systems to work with large datasets and high system load. You will help us work on systems that can scale up and down the number of processing nodes as needed and implement rate-limiting to ensure rogue systems do not impact our SLAs for other applications.\n\nAdditionally, you will improve the performance of our main data store by adding or changing indexes as appropriate, adding caching functionality where possible and setting up monitoring to catch performance bottlenecks early on.\n\nCulture and Work Environment\n\nAs a partially remote team communication is extremely important. There is no chance to drop in on interesting discussions around the water cooler or to see if someone is busy just by glancing at their desk. We have systems to signal busy-ness; regular meetings and stand-ups to disseminate information, frequent one-on-ones to ensure there are no frustrations building up, a code of conduct and a formal complaint process to resolve conflicts early-on.\n\nAs a key member of our server-side team, you will specifically be expected to:\n\n\n* Design and build API endpoints for our internal and public APIs\n\n* Implement monitoring systems for performance bottlenecks on our main datastore\n\n\n\n* Determine through performance profiling, where to add caching to our distributed systems and internal interfaces\n\n* Monitor the growth of our datasets and assist in creating strategies to address the systems where growth could become an issue\n\n\n\n* Write effective high-quality code with a focus on performance and maintainability\n\n* Create reliable tests and work closely with our QA team for end-to-end testing\n\n\n\n\nExperience Requirements:\n\n\n* Mid-level/Senior\n\n* You thrive in a self-directed and open work environment. You will not be micro-\nmanaged, no fixed work hours, and no in-office requirements. It is important that \nyou manage your time well, and you know what you need to do your job well (e.g., what \nwork hours to pick so you have enough time to communicate with team members \neffectively)\n\n* Knowledge of the OOP paradigm, experience with functional programming, and other \napproaches is a plus\n\n* Experience building complex systems with many moving parts, such as different \nprotocols, varying restrictions on latency or CAP parameters\n\n\n\n* Experience building and maintaining CI/CD systems is a bonus\n\n* Excellent knowledge of static type systems and compiled languages\n\n* Knowledge of various data stores such as SQL, document stores, key-value stores, or \nqueuing systems, as well as their performance characteristics and scalability issues\n\n* Good understanding of caching and cache invalidation strategies\n\n\n\n\n\n\nInterested?\n\nECI Mark Systems vision is to be the technology hub for home sales in North America by providing a unique combination of remarkable software and expert services. To achieve our vision, we need great developers. That is why we have created a great work environment, encouraging self-direction, personal development, and teamwork. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on previous jobs related to Developer, Senior and Digital Nomad jobs that are similar:\n\n $60,000 — $110,750/year\n \n\n#Location\n Likely worldwide

# How do you apply?\n\nPlease send an application tailored to this position (Generic templates and dry cover letters are hard work and seldom impressive). Simple Poll is hiring a
Remote Senior Software Engineer

# Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack)\n\n## Simple Poll\n\nFull Time Remote\n\n\n# About Simple Poll\n\n- Simple Poll brings polls and surveys natively into Slack. Learn more about the product on [https://simplepoll.rocks](https://simplepoll.rocks)\n- Wilhelm created Simple Poll in early 2016 to improve his own workflow when working in Slack. Started as a side project and then grew up to be a real company!\n- Simple Poll is one of the most popular apps for Slack and over the course of a year serves millions of users. As a member of the engineering team, you will be able to directly impact the experience of all of those users.\n- We are a fairly early stage company with a small and growing team. We're profitable, bootstrapped (no external investment) and very much plan to stay that way!\n\nBecause were such a small team, you will be able to have a massive impact. Not just on Simple Poll the product and its millions of users but also on the company, our culture, and our day to day collaboration. \n\nFrom an engineering perspective Simple Poll can often feel similar to building an API. Slack apps work largely by receiving JSON payloads from Slack, making API calls to the Slack API, and then returning some JSON back to Slack. As such, our engineering work tends to be very backend-heavy and although we do have a web dashboard, writing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is more rare.\n\nIn our day to day work we face an interesting set of evolving engineering and product challenges:\n\n- One such challenge is dealing creatively with the constraints of the Slack platform. Since Simple Poll exists almost entirely within Slack, we are bound by many of the constraints and extension capabilities of the Slack platform, such as the block kit framework ([https://api.slack.com/block-kit](https://api.slack.com/block-kit)). A powerful set of tools is available to us, but the path to bringing a feature to life is sometimes not as straightforward as it seems.\n- We also constantly face trade offs between making Simple Poll more powerful (and implementing a long list of customer feature requests) while simultaneously maintaining and improving the simplicity that out customers love. Finding a good balance is important here and often we find that there is a way to achieve both capability and simplicity.\n- Slack is also constantly evolving and it is our responsibility to keep up with this evolution to ensure that Simple Poll works no matter what Slack context users find themselves in. Recent wide-reaching changes have been the introduction of Slack Enterprise Grid (multiple Slack workspace under the same umbrella) and Slack Connect (shared channels between different Slack workspaces). These changes make it more challenging to model Slack entities like users and channels if youre curious to learn more about this problem, check out this blog post: [https://wilhelmklopp.com/posts/slack-database-modelling/](https://wilhelmklopp.com/posts/slack-database-modelling/)\n\n### Remote\n\nWe are remote-first with folks across Canada, the UK, and Germany We love and embrace remote working (and have done so even in pre-pandemic times). But especially as the pandemic winds down and more travel opens up, we plan to regularly get everyone together for a one-week company offsite, probably twice a year. Our last company offsite took us to Toronto in Canada \n\n# The ideal candidate\n\n- Excellent verbal and written communication skills\n- A high degree of empathy\n- 3+ years of experience working on production web applications written primarily in Python\n- Experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS\n- You care about the product as well as the code\n- You enjoy picking up new skills and are always learning and growing\n- You have an ability to think critically and pragmatically about designing systems and building features\n- You enjoy shipping and getting things done\n\n# Responsibilities\n\n- Write, review, deploy, and maintain code in mostly Python (back end) and HTML/CSS/JavaScript (front end)\n- Collaborate with the rest of the team on defining and implementing new features and coordinate to prioritise engineering work\n- Debug production issues and implement corresponding fixes\n- Take ownership of parts of the codebase\n- Document the systems you help build, monitor, and maintain\n- Evaluate and recommend solutions to guide team decision making\n- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes\n- Rotating responsibilities for on-call\n\n## You Might Work On\n\n- Architecting and implementing new features. Some of the things coming up on our roadmap are blind polls, ranked polls, exports to google sheets, and many more!\n- UX Improvements to make Simple Poll *simpler* and more flexible\n- Performance improvements to make Simple Poll faster\n- Improving reliability, which could for example entail setting up a new Datadog dashboard\n- Work with a designer to build a new page in our frontend and then implement that page based on their design\n- Something completely different! As an early stage company, we tend to be pretty "all hands on deck" when something comes up that we need to get done\n- Use and provide feedback on [Kolo](https://kolo.app). A local Django development tool that weve been building\n\n# Practicals and benefits\n\n- You will report directly to the CEO (Wilhelm)\n- This is a fully remote, full time (40 hours per week) position. Your primary timezone must be between UTC-5 and UTC+2 (inclusive on both ends) to ensure we have enough overlap as a team\n- We'll buy you a new MacBook Pro and any other tools you need to do your best work (screens, accessories, etc.)\n- 30 days of holiday a year (including local national holidays), and you're encouraged to take all of it. You're also free to take additional time off for any other reasonable reasons, for example if you're sick (of course!) but also if you need to spend an afternoon taking care of something personal.\n- Sustainable and healthy working matters to us. We care about building delightful products for our customers, not hitting arbitrary daily hour counts.\n- The start date for this role is January or February 2022\n\n## Our principles\n\n*Inspired (often straight up copied) by the [Zen of GitHub](https://warpspire.com/posts/taste) and the [Zen of Python](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zen_of_Python)*\n\nExplicit is better than implicit\n\nSimple is better than complex\n\nFavor focus over features\n\nAnything added dilutes everything else\n\nMind your words, they are important\n\nCraft the details, they matter\n\nShip early and often\n\nNever miss an opportunity to delight\n\nBuild for the long term\n\nUse what you build with pride\n\nCreate lasting value for customers\n\nMistakes are possible when moving fast\n\nEmpower with courtesy and empathy\n\n## Our tech stack\n\n- Python + Django\n- PostgresQL\n- Heroku\n- Amazon Web Services\n- GitHub\n- HTML, Tailwind CSS, Vanilla JavaScript\n- Slack, Datadog, Zoom, Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion\n- Our own products! (including https://kolo.app)\n\n# How to apply\n\n[Apply via this form](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSerhXiCMolv2Y1dLodNvaRJu9eT-FCZ2LUgdrDwZtlDg2R0zw/viewform?usp=pp_url&entry.2062135242=Full-stack)\n\nHave any questions? Woven is hiring a
Remote Director of Engineering

Woven is a Series A SaaS startup on a mission to eliminate the gap between talent and opportunity. We believe developer hiring should be based on real engineering work, not on leetcode, credentials, or who you know. So our customers use Wovens work simulations to give all candidates a fair chance.\n\n1 out of 3 hires are Hidden Gems who would have been missed and 100 out of 100 candidates get detailed feedback on their work.\n\nWere looking for a director of engineering to help us scale our people, processes, and technology so that we can continue rapidly delivering product. Youll report directly to the CEO.\n\n#### You're building a team\n\nThis is an exciting opportunity to build an engineering team that you want to work with. Currently we have 2 engineers and looking to grow to 7 engineers in the next few months. We have a product manager on staff, and plan to hire a product designer.\n\nDefining our repeatable delivery process\n\nYoure excited about improving engineering delivery by adding the right amount of structure and process. This could include improvements in code review / pairing, automated testing, issue tracking, or deployment pipelines. You will need to balance the day-to-day needs of shipping with the longer-term investments that will keep the team shipping high quality software.\n\n#### What youll do\n\n- Hire, lead, and coach a growing world-class distributed remote engineering team.\n- Recruit top engineering talent and scale to 1 team, and then 2, and through hypergrowth. (You may have read and loved Accelerate or Team Topologies.)\n- Move quickly and embody our 1% better value by incrementally evolving our team and services. (Build boxes, not arches)\n- Serve as the engineering teams voice to help steer the strategy and direction of the company.\n- Cultivate a strong, transparent, and collaborative engineering culture.\n- Collaborate with Product, Design, Customer Success, and Sales to help understand the needs of our prospects and customers and ship world-class solutions.\n- Track key service and productivity metrics and continually work towards improving team efficiency and engineering capacity.\n- Design, develop, and roadmap scalable, reliable, performant, and extensible architectures and technical designs.\n\n#### About you\n\nHere are some things we think would lead to success in this role. We encourage you to apply even if you don't have this exact experience!\n\n- You probably have 3+ years of professional experience managing software engineers.\n- Most of our product team is US-based and we still collaborate synchronously, so your work schedule should be within a few hours of US Eastern.\n- You have ideas on how to grow and evolve the team, including forming teams and clarifying team boundaries.\n- You might have experience growing the engineering team through non-traditional hiring sources, including international hiring.\n- Youre a great communicator, including written communication (extra important on our distributed team).\n- You are approachable and welcome feedback.\n- You enjoy helping others grow in their careers, from doing regular 1:1 meetings to setting expectations and giving advancement opportunities with career ladders.\n- Since the team is small and youll be working closely with engineers, having experience with a web framework (Rails, Django, Node) in a dynamic language (Ruby, Python, JavaScript) would be helpful. Our main application runs on Heroku, and uses Ruby on Rails, React, Postgres, and Sidekiq. We also use Python for some machine learning. Were open to using other languages/tools (TypeScript!) where it makes sense.\n\n#### Other\n\nWe dont expect folks to have these, but would consider experience or interest in the following a nice bonus:\n\n- Working with integrations, including: low/no code (Airtable, Zapier); Slack bots; technical assessment platforms; applicant tracking systems like Greenhouse, Lever, and Workable\n- Writing infrastructure code that allows us to scale the product as we grow.\n- SOC 2 or other security / compliance.\n\n\nPosition compensation and company benefits\n\n- Annual salary\n- Significant (~.5%) equity in a high-growth startup\n- Fully remote work at a fully remote company with flexible hours\n- Unlimited PTO with 38 days off minimum\n- Employer-sponsored health insurance\n- 401(k) plan\n- 8 weeks 100% paid parental leave at 1 year\n- Radical transparency: company financials, strategy, compensation, etc\n- A tech stipend for great gear, home office improvements, and extracurricular learning\n- A passionate team of co-conspirators\n- We want to change hiring for companies and developer candidates. \n\nOne of our customers said: Woven is 100% the best money weve ever spent. - We wouldn't have the great teammates we have now without Woven. Check out our G2Crowd reviews to hear from candidates who have taken a Woven assessment. We believe we're doing something special here and we hope you'll join.\n\nLet's make hiring work for everyone.\n\nWoven is an Equal Opportunity Employer and considers applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, orientation, national origin, age, disability, genetics or any other basis forbidden under federal, state, or local law. \n\nBe sure to mention the word **HANDIER** when applying to show you read the job post completely. This is a beta feature to avoid spam applicants. Defiant is hiring a
Remote Quality Assurance Developer Engineer With PHP JavaScript and SQL

## Description\nDefiant is hiring a QADev Engineer. Please note that this is not an automation role. We are hiring QA Analysts that have the ability to program in PHP and Javascript, and have a strong interest not just in finding bugs, but looking at code to determine why they exist, and occasionally dropping in a quick fix to continue testing.\n\nThe salary range for this role is $90,000 to $120,000 with full benefits. It includes a no-strings-attached $15,000 dollar hiring bonus on your first paycheck. We are confident youll love working at Defiant and being a part of our amazing team, and our signing bonus reflects that.\n\nAt Defiant, we have broken down the traditional wall that exists between Dev and QA. Our QA team is more technical than most and spends time not just finding, reproducing, and logging bugs, but actually diagnosing the underlying cause and providing an unusual amount of detail to our dev team to help them quickly implement a fix.\n\nFor this role, you need to be able to read and write PHP and Javascript code along with SQL. Our hiring process will include a technical portion that will evaluate your ability to not only find and report bugs but to determine what the underlying cause of a bug is.\n\nIf you are currently in a QA role that is not as technical as youd like, and you want to get your hands dirty looking at PHP and JS code, tracing execution, diving into the database, and diagnosing the underlying cause of an issue, then this role may be perfect for you.\n\nMuch like the DevOps role broke down the wall between the operations team and the development team, we have broken down the wall between QA and Dev by creating a role that we are calling QADev.\n\nThis job is 100% remote. You can work from anywhere as long as you have bandwidth. We do most of our calls voice only, and we also use push-to-talk so you can operate in noisy environments like a coffee shop, while traveling, or with kids around.\n\nWe are looking for individuals who dont just do the minimum. Our team tries harder, goes further, digs deeper, pushes technology beyond its customary boundaries. WordPress powers 40% of the web, and we are the leaders in WordPress security. Compromise or complacency is not an option for us.\n\nOur core hours are from 10am 1pm Pacific Time, Monday through Friday. In general, we want our team to be available during that time, but were a realistic company, we understand that life happens, and were outcome-focused. So as long as youre doing a great job and getting things done, we are flexible.\n\n\n## Requirements\nAt Defiant we have one core value, and that is Trust. We trust that youll do a great job working remotely, be available during our core hours, and once you run out of work, find other ways to contribute. We dont micro-manage and we dont continuously monitor our team or their productivity. If you love QA, are passionate about your job, are productive, and can help the team ship great software, youll be very successful at Defiant.\n\nThe specific skills we require for this position are:\n\n* Experience testing complex web applications is required.\n* Experience testing LAMP applications is preferred.\n* Mid-level PHP programming ability and use of dev tools required.\n* Mid-level Javascript programming ability and use of dev tools is required.\n* Experience working with a bug tracking system like Fogbugz, JIRA, or similar is required.\n* SQL knowledge is required.\n* AWS experience is preferred.\n* A passion for testing applications and shipping robust software is a must. This is a quality assurance role, not a developer role.\n\n\n## Hiring Process\n\nAll positions require a trial period of approximately 3 weeks with a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week. You will be paid for this short-term contract, and it will be used to evaluate whether both parties want to pursue an ongoing, regular employment relationship.\n\nAll offers of employment are contingent on the successful completion of a background check. The results of the background check are considered as they relate to the position and do not automatically disqualify someone from an offer of employment with the company.\n\n\n## Benefits\n\n* $15,000 one time hiring bonus.\n* Full time telecommuting and flexible working hours, with a company that has been 100% remote for over 8 years.\n* 100% employee premium and 50% of dependent premium paid by company for premier- level medical, dental, and vision insurance.\n* 21 days PTO per year to start.\n* Approximately 12 paid company holidays including the week from December 25 to January 1.\n* 401(k) with a 4% Safe Harbor company match that is 100% vested immediately.\n* Latest in laptop and workstation technology.\n* Wellness reimbursement program for health and fitness purchases.\n* Mobile phone and internet reimbursement up to $100 per month.\n* Monthly beverage reimbursement for coffee, tea, water, etc.\n* Paid training and study time for work-related training and certifications.\n* College tuition and Student Loan reimbursement.\n\n\n## Diversity at Defiant\n\nWe value diversity and do not discriminate based on race, color, religion or creed, national origin or ancestry, sex, age, physical or mental disability, military or veteran status, gender identity or expression, marital status, sexual orientation, political ideology, economic status, parental status, or any other non-performance-related status. \n\nBe sure to mention the word **SOFT** when applying to show you read the job post completely. This is a beta feature to avoid spam applicants. Companies can search these words to find applicants that read this and see they're human.\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n $90,000 — $120,000/year\n \n\n#Location\n Worldwide

Jirav is hiring a
Remote Senior Staff Full Stack Software Engineer

\nJirav is looking for an experienced and motivated software engineer to become the backbone for our US-based development team.\nThis is a Full Stack position. However, if you've been focusing primarily on either front- and back-end side of the house, keep on reading. We are looking for FE and BE engineers as well. Pls indicate your specialization when you apply.\nWhy should you be interested?\nJirav is truly a technology startup. We are building a modern, cloud-based product to enable complex financial forecasting and modeling for small and medium businesses. This functionality has historically been out of reach for the SMBs due to the cost and complexity.\nWeve created a new market, achieved traction, and have been growing rapidly. We partner with the industry thought leaders, such as CPA.com, and the numerous accounting firms to educate the marketplace and drive the adoption.\nJoin us to be a driving force behind our technology while the contribution of each and every individual still matters a great deal. Be a part of our success story. \nWhat will you be working on?\nOur technology stack is rather straightforward, pragmatic, and efficient. The application leverages the Angular framework. The backend is built in Java 11 (will be Java 17 soon). We use Spring Boot 2 and MySQL. \nApplication usability is paramount. We are successful by articulating complex financial concepts though simple and intuitive dashboards. We provide tools for formulating sophisticated planning scenarios. You will be instrumental to improving the usability of the entire application and maintaining the overall customer satisfaction.\nThe principal part of our BE architecture implements a complex, multi-dimensional, in-memory model, which enables the real time reporting and exploration of the planning scenarios.\nWe integrate with a growing number of providers companies like Gusto, Intuit, Oracle, Xero, Sage to fetch the data used for reporting and modeling.\nYou will find our code base well planned, maintainable, and testable. A significant effort has been put into development of unit test cases. A comprehensive integration testing framework will be put in place in 2022.\nAt this point, our software runs atop Azure. We strive to leverage the best modern CI/CD tools and practices.\nYou will invest your time into building new functionality and scalability of the product (on both the design and implementation levels) as well as working on enhancing tooling and continuously improving the dev experience. You will have an opportunity to work with and mentor the less senior members of the dev team.\nThe Team\nFrom the early days, Jirav has embraced the distributed working environment. Our teams are centered around Seattle, Austin, and San Francisco with a significant number of fully remote folks. The engineering team has been originally based in Poland and is now expanding into the US.\nWe value teamwork, collaboration, free-flowing information, and the can-do attitude. We are curious and passionate technologists, who strive to build things, which make a difference in real life and which we can all be proud of.\n\nBenefits\n\n * Highly competitive pay.\n * Meaningful equity participation / stock options.\n * Complete medical/dental/vision (100% sponsored for many plans).\n * 401k Plan.\n * Unlimited Vacation/PTO Policy.\n * Commuter benefits, FSA (Flexible Spending Accounts), and more.\n * Your choice of laptops and large monitors.\n * Flexible work hours.\n * Employee referral program.\n \n \nMust be legally able to work in the US, for any employer. At this moment, we are not able to sponsor H1B or OPT visas. \nNo agencies, please (you are of course welcome to apply if you currently work at an agency!).\nJirav is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer. We do not discriminate based upon race, religion, national origin, gender (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, status as a protected veteran, status as an individual with a disability, or other applicable legally protected characteristics. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on previous jobs related to Full Stack, Developer and Senior, Engineer, Digital Nomad jobs that are similar:\n\n $60,000 — $110,750/year\n \n\n#Location\n Likely worldwide

The results of our work are then used to support federal and military law enforcement, counterintelligence, and counter-terrorist activities.\n\nMalware reverse engineering is the practice of analyzing, oftentimes extremely advanced, malicious code. The goal of a reverse engineer is to understand how the malicious code works and determine facts such as: how did it infect the victim's computer, what kind of information it is seeking to steal, how is it communicating with the author (actor), and who that actor might be working for.\n\nImportant:\n\nBe aware that you are applying for a job that requires a U.S. Government Security Clearance.\n\nIf you do not already hold a US government security clearance, we do have the ability to sponsor you for one, however be advised that this can be a multi-year process.\n\nThe U.S. government will not issue security clearances to current or recent users of illegal drugs.
