SignTracker is hiring a
Remote Senior Full Stack Developer Phoenix Rails

For the last 10 years, ShopTracker has helped small manufacturing shops all over the world run their businesses. In an increasingly winner-take-all economy, we give small manufacturing and service providers the tools to compete, grow, and operate with peace of mind. Our customers, despite making up over 12% of the economy, are vastly underserved and are forced to rely on generic build-your-own solutions or overpriced software targeted at large operations. ShopTracker fills that vacuum, and with new investment from the TinySeed accelerator will begin tackling new and bigger challenges. Beyond just a web application - with data analytics, financial services, group bargaining, community building, and more, we can provide our customers with access to tools that have previously only existed at much larger scales. \n\n## Core Values \n\n* A business exists to serve people, not the other way around \n* An environment of trust and safety \n* Friendly and empathetic \n* Always be learning \n\n## The Role \n\nAs our first non-founder hire, you'll have an active voice in everything from product ideation, roadmapping, and development to customer support. A strong communicator with a data-driven, analytical mindset is a must. You'll be responsible for owning features, from planning through release. Although we're currently a Ruby on Rails app, we're planning a gradual migration to Elixir and Phoenix. The new functionality will be built in Phoenix, and the old functionality will be slowly transitioned. You'll work closely with our technical founders to plan and execute this transition. \n\n## Requirements \n\n* Excellent written and verbal communication skills \n* Elixir, Phoenix, and/or Ruby on Rails experience \n* Automated testing \n* Javascript, CSS, HTML \n\n## Preferred experience \n\nWhile the ideal candidate might have all of the below, this is a wishlist and not a set of hard requirements. We expect that anyone joining ShopTracker would be an enthusiastic learner, which often outweighs specific past experience. \n\n* 5+ years programming experience \n* SQL (PostgreSQL preferred) \n* UX/UI design \n* Statecharts and state machines (e.g. XState in javascript)\n* Remote Senior Full-Stack Developer\n* TailwindCSS \n* K8s setup and maintenance in production interest or background in data science \n\n## Benefits \n\n* Completely remote \n* Flexible schedule \n* Have an influential voice in ShopTracker's future \n\nBe sure to mention the word **EXPEDITIOUSLY** when applying to show you read the job post completely. This is a beta feature to avoid spam applicants. Companies can search these words to find applicants that read this and see they're human.\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n $60,000 — $100,000/year\n \n\n#Location\nRemote in the Americas or Europe

Stardog is hiring a
Remote Senior Software Engineer Team Lead Front End

Stardog, the leading Enterprise Knowledge Graph platform, turns data into knowledge to power more effective digital transformations. Industry leaders including Bosch, eBay, NASA, and Raytheon use Stardog to create a flexible data layer that can support countless applications. One of _Fast Company's_ prestigious [Most Innovative Companies](https://www.stardog.com/blog/fast-company-names-stardog-7th-most-innovative-enterprise/), Stardog is a fast-growing venture-backed company headquartered in Arlington, VA with a globally distributed team.\n\nThe "Suite" of Stardog front end tools serves as the face of our Platform and is comprised of Stardog Studio and Stardog Explorer. Studio provides an IDE-like experience for developers to execute and debug queries and manage Stardog itself while Explorer provides non-technical users a way to search, browse, and explore their Knowledge Graph. Next up is a new tool that will let architects and other subject matter experts visually design and build their Knowledge Graph from the ground up.\n\nWe're looking for a talented individual to be a new team lead, working closely with the VP Engineering, Product Manager, and the rest of the development team, to help us achieve our vision.\n\nAs a Team Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating the team, conducting 1:1's, managing sprints, mentoring your teammates, conducting performance reviews, etc. But, this is a player/coach role, so you will spend time designing and building new features as well. You should expect to spend a lot of time engineering, maybe even the majority, but the responsibilities of being the lead means you will be in meetings, you will deal with HR, there may even be paperwork. You can expect to spend between 10 and 40% of your time on those responsibilities. Therefore, we expect to see leadership experience on your resume.\n\nOur stack is written with Typescript using React, so we're expecting you to be familiar with those technologies. Bonus points if you're familiar with Node.js, Redux, Cypress, and Webpack. Even more of a bonus if you know Sass, or just have some background in UX and design and are familiar with tools like Figma or Sketch.\n\nNo degree? No problem. Having a piece of paper with some fancy words on it like "Computer Science" is great, but not a requirement. You can be an engineer without an engineering degree. What we're looking for is an experienced engineer, who has guided a team before, to come in, work hard, and be passionate about solving our user's problems. We are looking for real engineering work as well as demonstrable experience and skills in a leadership capacity.\n\nWe are a remote-first company. You should be comfortable with, and have experience working remotely. You must have strong communication skills as much of our interactions will be over email, chat, and PR where it's harder to get your point across. Most of the team is in the EST (UTC-5) time zone, so the closer the time zone alignment, the better.\n\nWe will expect to see code! Don't be shy about sharing your work. You can even [check out](https://github.com/stardog-union/stardog.js) some of [ours](https://github.com/stardog-union/stardog-language-servers).\n\nAnd if you want to see what you'll be working on, check out [Explorer](https://explorer.stardog.com/). If you want to learn about the kinds of scale challenges we're building for, read about our [Trillion Edge graph](https://www.stardog.com/blog/trillion-edge-knowledge-graph/). And If you are curious about what it's like to work here, check out a [post](https://www.stardog.com/labs/blog/5-tips-for-recruiting-startup-engineers/) from our CTO and co-founder that talks about our culture, or read the engineering team's [blog](https://www.stardog.com/labs/blog). \n\nLastly, you'll get great benefits, a yearly continuing education stipend, flexible PTO options, and the ability to work whenever and wherever you prefer.\n\n_Stardog is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer. Individuals seeking employment at Stardog are considered without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law. _ \n\nBe sure to mention the word **DESIRING** when applying to show you read the job post completely. This is a beta feature to avoid spam applicants. Companies can search these words to find applicants that read this and see they're human.\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n $120,000 — $160,000/year\n \n\n#Location\nUnited States, Canada

8returns is hiring a
Remote Senior Software Engineer

*tl;dr: Early-stage startup hiring remote Rails/React/etc developers (EU-timezones — around GMT+1). We're seeking to build the OS for circular commerce.*\n\nAt 8returns, we're transforming one of the most frustrating, environmentally damaging and costly aspects of e-commerce — returns. We built a technology that automates the returns process for retailers and makes data-driven decisions to connect each return to its best use.\n\nWe're still in the scrappy startup phase, so we are looking for people who are comfortable with ambiguity and having wide impact. We've been remote-first since Day 1, and care a ton about communication, autonomy, curiosity, and initiative.\n\nWe have happy paying customers and just raised our first round of funding from industry leaders. Our team is highly experienced, and has started and sold companies before. We also love learning from each other, and are looking for people who bring a new set of experiences and backgrounds to our team.\n\n**Why you might be excited about us**\n\n- We're working to solve a massive global problem - 10 billion pounds of returns end up in landfills every year and for retailers it’s a trillion-dollar problem.\n- We're small, so you'll be able to contribute efficiently and without bureaucracy. You'll quickly have responsibility over big areas of our product. You'll also help build our company's culture.\n- We don't have a ton of meetings. If we can effectively solve a problem asynchronously, we do. When we do meet synchronously, you'll always have the opportunity to contribute.\n- You'll be able to work remotely and set your own schedule. We don't micro-manage and will help you do great work. Most of our engineers work EU hours, but organize their work day to be whatever's best for them.\n- We will mould your role to shape a career you're excited about. We care a ton about your satisfaction and job happiness, and will help prep you for whatever you're looking for in the future.\n- We work hard and also highly value balanced work/life. We care about family and your own personal development, and don't expect for you to be always engaged with work.\n\n**Why you might *not* be excited about us**\n\n- We're small (~10 people in the company now), so if you like more established companies, it's not (yet) the right time. Since we're an early stage startup, projects and priorities may shift.\n- Our customers love us, *and* there's a lot we can improve. It's a great place to be, but means there's some technical debt.\n- We can't (yet) provide close mentorship for junior developers, especially as we're remote and small. As we grow, we'll get a lot better at this.\n- Since you'll have a lot of responsibility and creativity over projects, they may not be defined perfectly initially. You'll be expected to bring your own experience and perspective to help us do the right things, and raise flags if you think we should do things differently.\n\n**Who you are**\n\n- You worked remotely before, or know that you'd work well with a remote team.\n- Ability to think creatively and critically and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often ambiguous work environment\n- 3+ years of experience developing high performance web applications\n - If you want to focus on frontend, experience with React is a big plus\n - If you want to focus on backend, strong knowledge of Ruby on Rails and experience designing maintainable systems, APIs, and integrations are great\n- You are able to decide what aspects of products need to be perfected and when to cut corners to ship faster\n\nThe main app is built with Ruby on Rails and React. We use Postgres, Heroku, AWS. While previous experience with these technologies is a plus, we’re looking for someone with broad experience.\n\nIf we think you might be a good fit, we'll respond within 48 hours. \n\nBe sure to mention the word **TENDER** when applying to show you read the job post completely. This is a beta feature to avoid spam applicants. Companies can search these words to find applicants that read this and see they're human.\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n $70,000 — $100,000/year\n \n\n#Location\nEu

The admin interface is built on top of #Vue.js , so you need to have also solid Javascript Skills ❤️\n\nBesides Shopware we're also working currently on a big Spryker project, where we need support: But don't worry if you don't know it. We're all learning it.\n\nA degree is not important to us, what is important is that you enjoy your work and that you continue to develop yourself. 🚀\n\nFor us it would be important that you are familiar with the following technologies:\n\n* Symfony 4.4+\n* Writing clean, documented code\n* Advanced HTML / CSS / SCSS\n* Twig Template Language\n* Advanced Vanilla Javascript & ES6 because the admin interface in Shopware is built on Vue.js\n\n**A bit about the work 🖥️**\n\nPersonally, we think that 6 to 7 hours per day are enough if you really focus on your work, instead of sitting from morning to afternoon at the office and driving home when it's already dark - So why not just leave at 3 and go to the beach to relax the rest of the day 🏖️\n\nTo be clear: The most important thing for us as a little team is that you're highly motivated and you like to come to the work and enjoy it 💙\n\nWe're still a very young team, but we give our best to make our team members happy - If you need for example a company car 🏎️, just talk to us and we will handle it. If you need help to cover your first one or two rents 🏠 because of the re-location, just talk to us.\n\nOf course, you also get some top-notch new equipment like a new 16" Macbook Pro, which you can also use privately 💻\n\nIn general: We're super open, as long as the work gets done 💪\n\nWe are looking forward to you.🤩 \n\nBe sure to mention the words **DOCTOR LAZY MATERIAL** when applying to show you read the job post completely. This is a beta feature to avoid spam applicants. Companies can search these words to find applicants that read this and see they're human.\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n $30,000 — $60,000/year\n \n\n#Location\n🌏 Worldwide

Whitespectre is hiring a
Remote Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

[Whitespectre](https://www.whitespectre.com) is a product-centric,Rails-led technology consultancy for both vc funded start-ups and large, established companies across the US and Europe. We’re also a product incubator with our own applications and b2b SaaS platform. As long-term partners to our clients, we’ve played a critical role in their growth- both through the products we co-create and the expertise and processes we bring. Proudly remote first since 2013, we’re a close-knit team of 75, working in fast-moving, cross-functional agile pods to solve interesting technical challenges and drive real business impact.\n\n**What's it like to be a Senior Rails engineer at Whitespectre?**\n\nOur senior rails developers are sharp technical experts with the ability to think like product owners- being able to advocate for code quality as a long term strategic investment while knowing when to adapt a more start-up mentality to deliver rapid business value. They drive architecture and implementation decisions, mentor other engineers, and stay up to date with the latest rails techniques and trends as part of the collective Whitespectre rails brain trust.\n\nWhitespectre operates on a fully-modern tech stack- toolset includes Rails6/7, Postgres, Elastic, REST/GraphQL, ReactJS, Typescript, Webpack, CI/CD with Docker, Heroku/AWS, etc. Working smartly is important to us; automation, dynamic environments spin up with new feature branches and slack bot integrations control our production releases.\n\nThe majority of our projects involve building greenfield applications and our delivery teams typically own products end to end - your thinking and contribution make a big impact!\n\n**What else is great about working at Whitespectre?**\n\n* Interesting challenges: We’ve done everything from scaling high-performance, high concurrency backends, building beautiful (but complex) user interfaces to handling real-time event streams from hardware devices..\n* Grow everyday: Be in an environment that embraces constant learning and exploring - whether it’s a new skill, a new way of thinking, or a new product experiment, we know it’s the key to staying motivated.\n* Career progression: Get the opportunities, knowledge sharing, and mentorship to grow- whether you want to move into management or Principle Engineer. We proudly promote from within.\n* Work-life balance: Thrive at work, but know that it doesn’t take over your life. Clear processes and realistic planning avoids fires!\n* Paid Meetups: We love remote, but face to face is pretty great too. Come meet with your colleagues in Barcelona or at a local meetup.\n* Competitive rates, long-term outlook: We offer competitive rates and a long-term, full-time contract position. Many of our team members have been with us for 5+ years.\n* Want to know more? Check out [Glassdoor](https://www.glassdoor.com.ar/Reviews/Whitespectre-Reviews-E1575846.htm?countryRedirect=true)\n\n**This is the right position for you if want-**\n\n* The challenge of collaborating with business stakeholders and Product Managers to advocate for technology solutions while bearing in mind the tradeoffs for business results\n* The responsibility of designing new architectures and being confident to justify your technology decisions. (Plus debating and recognizing when a colleague has an even better idea!)\n* To solve problems that can’t be addressed by just searching Stack Overflow\n* The opportunity to go outside your core Rails expertise and strengthen skills with other technologies (e.g. Elixr, React.js or Node.js)\n* An environment where excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) are valued and honed\n* A culture where people from different backgrounds interact, collaborate and reach a shared goal\n\n**The “check the box” Requirements**\n\n* 5+ years of experience in software development, 3+ years of Rails\n* Experience contributing to technical decision making within a team\n* Can work full-time with significant crossover with the core hours: 11am - 6pm Central European Time\n* Live outside of the US. Please, no recruitment agencies.\n \n\nBe sure to mention the words **CHEESE STADIUM GADGET** when applying to show you read the job post completely. This is a beta feature to avoid spam applicants. Companies can search these words to find applicants that read this and see they're human.\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n $50,000 — $90,000/year\n \n\n#Location\n🌏 Worldwide

Qwire is hiring a
Remote Senior Software Engineer Full Stack JavaScript

\nCome help us build one of the most exciting new products for the media and entertainment industry! Qwire is revolutionizing how studios, editors, composers, artists, publishers, labels and performance rights organizations collaborate. Managing the entire audio lifecycle of movies, television shows, and live sports broadcasts is no small task. Making sure that accurate licensing information gets to the right destination so people can get paid is even a bigger one. Studios like Warner Bros. are replacing their million-dollar home-grown solutions and spreadsheets with our Saas offering. \nAs a Senior Software Engineer at Qwire, you will be a part of a cross functional team developing a full stack JavaScript application. Our technical stack includes Node.js powering our REST APIs and services, along with Postgresql, Redis, and ElasticSearch deployed on AWS. On the front end, we use React, Redux, and Thunks. At Qwire, we write our own tests as developers. We use Jest as our testing framework, and maintain unit, API integration, and end-to-end tests using Cypress.io.\nYou should have depth and experience across some meaningful subset of our stack. We like generalists, especially ones with 'T' shaped experience - depth in one area and broad interest in developing other areas. While we'll play to your strengths, you'll have the opportunity to learn and contribute across the entire code base. At Qwire, we value a friendly, collaborative, data driven culture that places a premium on learning: slope over intercept. \nResponsibilities\n* Your primary responsibility will be writing high quality, clear, maintainable JavaScript that improves our product. Qwire is still a small team, so every engineer contributes to the code base.\n* Lead by example with the code you contribute, code reviews, and peer programming\n* Collaborate with product management to manage and execute the product roadmap. \n* Work with the CTO and the development team to analyze and design the application architecture and implement functional requirements\n* As part of the development team, contribute to improving our development and deployment processes\n* Identify any pain points in our logging, monitoring, and APM; design and implement improvements to overall observability and performance.\n* Be welcoming and approachable. Answer questions about our tooling and processes with kindness and compassion. Help others understand the work we do and how they can improve their craft.\n\n\n\nExperience that will be helpful\n* 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience with JavaScript in Node.js and React\n* A track record of developing web-based applications and a deep technical understanding of JavaScript technologies such as Node.js, React, and Redux.\n* Experience as a lead engineer for project of increasing complexity, ideally in a startup environment\n* Experience with docker-based container development and deployment\n* Experience with web design architecture and stage-appropriate scalability \n* Familiarity with application security best practices, OAUTH, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)\n* Some familiarity with database management, monitoring, debugging will be helpful\n* Experience with functional and class-based JavaScript code. Previous experience with another functional language (Scala, Clojure, Haskell, Elixir, etc.) is preferred, but not required.\n\n\nWe don't require you to submit a resume, but please do submit one if you think it will help us understand your background. We place more emphasis on you telling us a bit about yourself, why you're a good fit for this project, and your relevant experience. A couple of paragraphs in the "About You" section will do. That should give us enough context to review your GitHub profile, open-source contributions, and/or other code you've written, which we've found is the best way identify potential team members. Please include a link to your personal website, repo, or other online code you've written that we can have a look at. \nEvery candidate that submits an application will get a response. We'll reach out to selected candidates to schedule an initial call after reviewing each submission. Our interviewing process is fast and straightforward: no brainteasers, no coding challenges, and your first conversation will be with another engineer, not a recruiter. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on previous jobs related to Full Stack, Developer and JavaScript jobs that are similar:\n\n $60,000 — $108,000/year\n

Stardog is hiring a
Remote Senior Software Engineer Team Lead Front End

Stardog, the leading Enterprise Knowledge Graph platform, turns data into knowledge to power more effective digital transformations. Industry leaders including Bayer, Bosch, eBay, NASA, and Raytheon use Stardog to create a flexible data layer that can support countless applications. One of Fast Company's prestigious Most Innovative Companies, Stardog is a fast-growing venture-backed company headquartered in Arlington, VA with a globally distributed team.\n\nThe "Suite" of Stardog front end tools serves as the face of our Platform and is comprised of Stardog Studio and Stardog Explorer. You can even check out some of ours.\n\nAnd if you want to see what you'll be working on, check out Explorer. If you want to learn about the kinds of scale challenges we're building for, read about our Trillion Edge graph. And If you are curious about what it's like to work here, check out a post from our CTO and co-founder that talks about our culture, or read the engineering team's blog. \n\nLastly, you'll get great benefits, a yearly continuing education stipend, flexible PTO options, and the ability to work whenever and wherever you prefer.\n\nStardog is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer. Individuals seeking employment at Stardog are considered without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on previous jobs related to Front End, Developer and Executive jobs that are similar:\n\n $60,000 — $100,000/year\n \n\n#Location\nFlexible
