The Search Machine Learning Platform team builds the end-to-end machine learning platform that supports Indeedโs most mission and performance critical products. As a Staff Data Scientist on the team, you will:
Build a highly performant machine learning framework that works in latency critical use cases like search and ranking.
Incorporate latest data science techniques into our platform to assist better model evaluation and understandability, and serve it to all users
Partner with jobsearch and recommendations teams to build POC ML models that scale to production, and iterate through offline and online experiments
Iterate on model architecture and features via A/B testing to improve models used for our jobsearch globally
Mentor and grow other software engineers, data scientists, and ML engineers across teams
Break down larger ML initiatives into pieces that deliver incremental business value and lead the team to execute on them
Represent Indeed at major ML conferences like NeurIPS, ICML, and ICLRย

Youโll work closely with brand experts, community managers, media managers, partnership managers, as well as developers and designers.

What you will do
Create actionable insights for all types of marketing initiatives at komoot, from brand campaigns to performance marketing channels.
Measure the impact of newsletters, social media and influencer campaigns, print and online media advertising, and marketing partnerships.
Plan, run and evaluate qualitative surveys and market research, turning them into meaningful reports.
Design and analyse A/B tests for newsletters, landing pages and campaign creatives seen by millions of outdoor enthusiasts
Complement marketing experts with your data literacy skills, helping them make smarter decisions
Promote data-informed decision making in the marketing team
Craft ad hoc reports, comprehensible visualisations, dashboards and in-depth research reports.

You will be successful in this position if you

Hunter's product team is hiring a Backend Go developer! You'll become one of the key team members responsible for moving the data side of the Hunter application forward.

You'll be part of the product team alongside Bastien (head of engineering), Bernardo (Backend Go developer), Mark (Ruby on Rails developer), Chris (Designer), Franรงois, and Antoine (co-founders).

About the role
At Hunter, we've been working from the start with one Go application (managing all our data) and one Ruby on Rails application (responding to users' requests). This setup has allowed us to be highly productive while our team stays small. We believe in always finding the most elegant way to build our product, and Go has been the ideal language to crawl, parse, and organize billions of public web pages.
As part of a small group within a young company, you will work on various projects over time, but you can expect that:
You'll work on our main Go codebase that gathers, processes, and provides all the data ofย hunter.io.
Within a few weeks, you'll become responsible for significant projects that will improve Hunter by building new critical features in our existing services. Over time, you'll help expand our product line.
You'll take part in proving a crawler that processes billions of pages per month (https://hunter.io/our-data)
You'll work with the rest of the product team to gradually increase the importance of NLP in our data pipelines.
