The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of our database systems. \nThe Database Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our databases to support the organization's data-driven initiatives that are responsible for the companyโs revenue generating databases.\n\nYou will be able to:\n\nDatabase Architecture and Design:\n\n\n* Collaborate with the team to design and implement scalable and efficient database architectures.\n\n* Deliver the development and maintenance of data models, schemas, and structures.\n\n* Document all relevant processes related to database design, configuration, and performance\n\n\n\n\nPerformance Optimization\n\n\n* Monitor and support database systems (IaaS / PaaS) to ensure optimized performance and automation wherever possible.\n\n* Perform debugging procedures on database scripts and programs, as well as resolving conflicts. This includes the governance, quality and strategy of standards within the team.\n\n\n\n\nDatabase Adminsitration\n\n\n* Oversee the administration and maintenance of database systems, including backups, restores, and disaster recovery planning.\n\n* Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as applying patches and updates.\n\n* Implement and enforce database security measures to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of data.\n\n* Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and industry/company best practices.\n\n* Respond to and resolve database-related (incidents) in a timely manner.\n\n* Provide support for application developers and end-users in database-related matters.\n\n\n\n\nData Modeling and handling\n\n\n* Develop and maintain data models to support application development and reporting requirements\n\n* Collaborate with application developers to ensure effective integration with the database.\n\n* Plan and execute data migration and transformation tasks when necessary.\n\n\n\n\nCollaboration\n\n\n* Assist architects and development teams by designing new databases(or changing existing ones) to meet the organization's application and data storage needs.\n\n* Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the CTO organization: Compliance, Security, Cloud Operations and Engineering.\n\n* Work closely with stakeholders to understand and address database-related requirements.\n\n\n\n\nContinuous Improvement\n\n\n* Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in database engineering.\n\n* Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices to enhance the team's capabilities.\n\n\n\n\n \n\nWhat will help you succeed in this role:\n\n\n* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.\n\n* 5+ Years of experience as a DBA, Database Engineer, or similar.\n\n* 5+ Years of experience working with SQL.\n\n* 2+ Years of experience working with CI/CD.\n\n* 2+ Years of experience working with NonSQL Databases.\n\n* 2+ Years of experience working as a Team leader or prior people-leader.\n\n* 2+ Years of experience working with Public cloud PaaS technologies on AWS or Azure.\n\n* Advanced English Level is required for this role as you will work with US clients.
