Reporting to the Head of Regulatory and Compliance and working with other members of the Notabene team, the role entails building robust relationships within blockchain and traditional policy communities and ensuring alignment between our internal workstreams and policy goals.\n\n\n\nKey Responsibilities\n* Engage with various global regulators to educate them on travel rule regulation, influence policy, and be a resource for the regulator by establishing relationships. \n* Collaborate with business and cross-functional leaders to support business success by attending key customer meetings, establishing relationships and educating customers on the intricacies of operationalizing Travel Rule.\n* Represent Notabene and collaborate with associations and industry participants on consensus industry positions.\n* Run and manage testnets to gather insights and support the scaling of Travel Rule solutions in key markets.\n* Brief internal executive audiences on the impact of new or proposed policies/rules on and within our product and practices. \n* Draft written responses to regulatory consultations.\n* Create timely, digestible written content and analysis, including blog posts, memos, and white papers on policy issues and company positions in collaboration with marketing, product teams, and external stakeholders \n* Identify and support speaking and writing opportunities for Notabene’s executives to further our policy and regulatory engagement.\n* Work with the team to advise and formulate regulatory engagement strategies, stakeholder mapping, and market segmentation based on market expansion plans.\n* Update and expand Notabene’s Travel Rule Certification Program and ensure alignment with evolving regulatory standards.\n* Collaborate with the product teams by bringing compliance insights for them to build into the product.\n* Build and manage a network of key senior stakeholder and influencer relationships to shape a positive policy and regulatory environment.\n* Attend/Speak at various conferences to be one of the key regulatory voice\n\n\n\nWhat you bring:\n* 7+ years of experience in public policy, law, or a relevant discipline with a strong focus on regulatory compliance in the fintech or crypto space\n* Subject matter expertise in financial services/payments issues affecting the crypto industry including the Travel Rule, AML, and cross-border compliance requirements.\n* Preferred experience in public policy thought leadership and/or former regulator\n* Demonstrated experience engaging with lawmakers and regulators effectively.\n* Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management, regulators, policymakers as well as product and business teams.\n* Superb research, writing, and communication skills, with dynamic presentation and verbal communication abilities.\n* Strong interest in digital assets, crypto markets, and blockchain technology.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIf you strongly believe this role is for you, please apply. \n\nContract Duration: June - November\n\nCoverage for the Event Director role will support the strategic planning, execution, and oversight of a diverse portfolio of events on a global scale. \nAs a Senior Events Manager at Figment, you will help strategize, manage, and operationalize a robust events calendar and approach across several departments at both physical and virtual venues.
