About Heliax

Heliax is a public goods lab which researches, develops, deploys, and maintains open-source protocols and mechanisms designed to serve the everyday needs of humanity. As a creative senior front end engineer you must be super passionate about crafting high-end front-end websites and applications. Along with being a kickass dev you should have a great design eye and a willingness to have design input into what you build. Responsibilities

• Architecture & building front-ends from scratch from design prototypes, wireframes and specifications.

• Work very closely with the designer(s) on clarifying and providing bi-directional feedback on the designed wireframes, prototypes, and graphic assets both static and moving.

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Product Designer to help us iterate and improve upon the foundation we’ve built as well as help imagine what’s next. 

You’ll refine and improve existing workflows and features with our scheduling, analytics, and engagement tools. Beyond our core offerings, you’ll explore and bring to life entirely new interfaces and experiences – both inside and outside of social media – to better help small businesses get off the ground and grow. 

We are a small design team of 4 designers, working fully remote and spread across Europe, North Africa, and the US. Each designer works closely with a dedicated Product Manager and engineering team on a specific area of our product.

About the role

You’ll be the 3rd person joining our 2-person engineering team and will mainly work on the feature development. Upcoming are improvements to the collaboration experience, image support and the Discord sync.

While we use React, Typescript, Firebase and React Native, we’re not looking for a checklist of technologies. We’re looking for people who can demonstrate experience and deep knowledge about programming and the surrounding skills to ship projects. (We’re not open to junior positions at this moment.)

This means the ability to analyze problems, communicate how you’re going to solve them, the trade-offs involved with your approach, converting that into well-written code that your colleagues will have a good time continuing on and transferring knowledge. • Guide clients through the process of discovery, research, information architecture, sitemap creation, and UX design, helping them make their own vital contributions to the project and creating an enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

• Lead the research and discovery process for our clients engaged in website, application, and interactive design projects—including conducting surveys, interviews, heuristic analysis, content audits, peer analysis, desk research, behavioral analysis, analytics review, asset review, group discussions, card sorting, tree testing, and other methods.

• Work with the director of Strategy & UX to analyze and identify key themes and develop actionable insights from learnings in the research and discovery phases to build alignment and set the strategic direction for the project.

• Remotely facilitate collaborative digital strategy and UX workshops for clients focused around a range of engagement strategies that help teams uncover, understand, and execute effective digital strategies to achieve their goals.

• Create UX design deliverables that will engage, educate, and inspire audiences to act on important social impact issues.

• Mentor, support, and work closely with other UX designers at all levels to create compelling UX design deliverables, annotated wireframes, and documentation. 

Skills & Experience You’ll Need

We are looking for experienced full-stack engineers to join our team of 35+ engineers. You will work closely in a team of 3-5 people on a specific project. Inside this team, you will manage your own backlog and schedule. We rotate teams and work areas quarterly to give you a breadth of experience. A Day In The Life:

You will likely start the day with a quick check in with your team. That might lead to a conversation with a member of our product group and a member of our sales team about a feature you are building for a specific customer segment. Several PRs and deploys later, you are ready to enable that feature for a test customer. You follow up with the customer and make sure everything is working as planned. Once it is ready, you turn on the feature flag and celebrate. Now it’s time to talk to the team about what’s coming up next.

To do this, you will work in a mixture of Ruby (with Sorbet in places), Elm, C# and TypeScript. After CI, you use a single click deploy to our autoscaling Kuberetes cluster. We're also using Rails, Sorbet, React, Postgresql, Redis, Docker, and more. Additionally, we have a strong interest in functional programming languages like Haskell, OCaml, and Elixir. While these are the tools we're currently using, you don't need to have previous experience with all of them. We know that good developers are capable of quickly picking up new languages and tools.

Tiny is seeking a talented JavaScript software engineer to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence the way hundreds of millions of people create content on the web. You will be a key member of the team responsible for developing and maintaining our online presence, spanning across websites.

The Mid/Senior Software Engineer we are looking for will join a team that brings new ideas to the market via our web assets. The role will require flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to experiment and test out ideas. You will work closely with product development, design and marketing, and have a strong focus on creating maintainable and scalable digital properties.

Key Responsibilities

• Use Typescript and Frameworks (React, Express) to build and maintain new websites and landing pages

• Create and maintain multiple Rest API services in TypeScript (Node.js) to support our frontend web applications

• Write high-performance, scalable code and unit tests

• Collaborate with product, marketing, and support stakeholders to optimise and improve our customer’s digital experience 

• Work with the wider engineering team to support backend services and APIs (REST API, CMS, Payment Gateways, CRM)

• Drive team success through contributions to sprint planning, code reviews, project post-mortems and a commitment to continuous learning

Key Skills and Experience

• A degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience

• Solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
