Remote Associate Director for Israel Education

\nThe Center for Jewish and Israel Education at Hillel International is a team dedicated to supporting Jewish college students on a pathway toward Jewish adulthood. We envision students as ready to make life choices informed by Jewish values, confident in crafting Jewish experiences for themselves & their peers, and eager to find their next steps in Jewish life. We support, train, and provide resources for campus professionals to guide their students along that journey while also providing direct-to-student Jewish learning and leadership programming. \n\nWe envision a world in which Hillel is the central meeting point for inspired learning about and lasting engagement with Israel. In line with the best practices of education and the deepest wisdom of Jewish thought, we hold ourselves to an approach that centers authentic inquiry, multivocality, and personal reflection. When we do this well, we embody an approach to Israel education that resonates with emerging adult learners and welcomes every student to meaningfully explore their relationship to Israel. \n\nThe Center for Jewish and Israel Education (CJIE) has been pioneering this work across a suite of programming and more broadly influencing the ways Israel education manifests in the Hillel movement. \n\nA core guiding principle of our work has been the Inquiry Centered Model for Israel Education. The Israel Insight Fellowship, a unique travel experience for select student leaders, has created new ways for those leaders to engage with the essential questions that Israel poses for contemporary students. Masterclass Israel Xperience (MCIX) innovated a new model of Israel educational travel in partnership with JAFI: Makom focused on exploring the tribes of Israel.  In response to the events of October 7 and the war that followed, the CJIE has pioneered immersive educational travel, the Tzofim and Sipurim trips, for Hillel professionals, supporting their personal and professional exploration of Israel, as well as the development of several curricula to support the efforts of campus educators to help students learn and process the new reality. \n\nThe Associate Director of Israel Education will support this body of work to continue the growth and impact of these various programs while also piloting and building new learning opportunities.\nWhat Youโ€™ll Do\n\nThe CJIE Associate Director of Israel Education will co-develop and oversee a series of interventions designed to increase nuanced and engaging educational programming for Hillel professionals. The fellowship will focus on both facilitation skills and content delivery. \n\n* Design and development of โ€œtrain the trainerโ€ type programming for campus professionals to lead fellowships on their campuses\n\n* Develop a Birthright extension program focused on Hillel professionals and students that focuses on Israelโ€™s challenges, opportunities, and inspirations\n\n* Regional gatherings focused on specific skill areas related to Israel education. \n\n* Online learning opportunities and resources that provide access points for field professionals including Hillel U-based sessions, educational materials, curricula, etc. to be housed on Hillel Hub. \n\n\n\nWho weโ€™re looking for\n\nYou will excel in this role if you\n\n\n* Are an educational and strategic thinker\n\n* Enjoy managing complex programs and systems\n\n* Love to work with a variety of Jewish professionals from all different types of backgrounds and positions \n\n* Have an expansive understanding of what we mean when we say, Jewish and Israel education\n\n* Hold their own sense of commitment and connection to Israel, as a central and inspiring commitment of the Jewish people, while also holding a broad understanding of the various ways our constituents relate to it.\n\n* Have an understanding of the campus and Jewish college students today, with a particular understanding of the challenges related to Israel on campus\n\n* Deeply understand the history and culture of Israel, Zionism, and the Jewish people\n\n* Comfortable presenting a multi-vocal approach to Israel and its conflicts while embracing ambiguity and complexity\n\n* Have an understanding of the challenges of teaching about Israel with nuance, passion, and openness\n\n* Solve problems with curiosity, resilience, and the ability to find new well-thought-out approaches to challenges; and\n\n* Are highly collaborative and a great team player who can also work independently.\n\n\n\nThe skills you will need to bring to this position\n\nRequired\n\n\n* Deep familiarity with the social, political, and cultural landscape(s) of Israel (including Palestinian experiences/narratives)\n\n* Passion and commitment to the field of education, especially college-age and early career professionals, born out of a love of learning\n\n* 6+ years of professional experience and hold a degree in a related field\n\n* Experience with curricular and educational design\n\n* Experience teaching and facilitating\n\n* Tech savvy and eager to use new platforms and technologies\n\n* Team player excited to innovate and scale while managing multiple projects and relationships at once\n\n* Committed to question-centric, nuanced Israel education, in line with the Inquiry-Centered Model\n\n* Passion for travel to Israel with the potential for multiple Israel trips a year is required. While difficult to accurately predict because of the dynamic nature of the work, travel should be expected nearly monthly, approximately 8-12 times a year.\n\n\n\n\nDesired\n\n\n* Experience working in the field of Israel education, or Jewish education more broadly\n\n* Ability to navigate large organizational relations, Israelโ€™s tourism and NGO environment \n\n* Lived experience in Israel \n\n* Professional or academic training in Israel education, Israeli politics, Israeli history, or Israeli culture\n\n* Experience working with emerging adults, specifically college students and early career professionals\n\n* Familiarity or experience within the Hillel movement\n\n* Professional training in education and/or facilitation\n\n* Hebrew proficiency\n\n\n\nWhat Youโ€™ll Get \n\nThis position has a salary range of $75,000 -$95,000. This salary falls in Hillelโ€™s Compensation Level 5, depending on experience. \n\nHillel offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, life insurance, Long Term Disability (LTD), Flexible Spending Plan, unlimited vacation, generous sick time, parental leave, and flexible work-from-home policy. In addition, employees are enthusiastically encouraged to take advantage of professional development opportunities through Hillel or our partner organizations.\nTime Zones and Workplace\n\nWhile Hillel Internationalโ€™s headquarters are in Washington DC, we are a remote team, open to hiring anyone based in the United States with eligibility to work in the United States. We have a flexible work schedule, which aims to support our employees in maintaining maximally successful professional and personal lives. That said, we expect our employees to keep regular hours that are mutually agreed upon by the employee and their supervisor. While this position is remote, there are semi-regular in-person gatherings, trainings, and conferences that we expect our team to fully participate in. Regular travel is an expected part of this job, including travel to Israel. \nA note for current Hillel professionals\n\nCurrent campus professionals may apply,  and if a current Hillel professional is the finalist, we will work with them and their campus/supervisor to navigate a smooth transition on a mutually agreeable timeline. Remote Content Writer

What we're looking for\nFlashbots is seeking a talented and motivated Writer with an interest in Ethereum, crypto, and MEV. This role is ideal for individuals who are curious, fast learners and demonstrate an intuitive understanding of new ideas and concepts in the fast-evolving MEV ecosystem.\nYou will work closely with various teams within Flashbots that provide you with data, insights, and perspectives to then be transformed into written content. The content should uphold high standards, maintain accuracy, and be reflective of Flashbotsโ€™ ethos. Experience in content writing is beneficial but not a requirement โ€“ we value talent and a commitment to quality above all.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n* \nData-driven content: Work closely with the data team to produce content that highlights new trends and market dynamics in the MEV landscape.\n\n* \nEducational content: Produce captivating material related to our products and their benefits for various audiences. This includes educational content focused on the features, use cases, and intricacies of SUAVE. You will collaborate closely with the SUAVE team to distill their insights into written form content.\n\n* \nEvents: Create content related to our events that magnify our messages, brings our community together and connect the dots to our strategic goals.\n\n\n\n\n\nQualifications\n\n* \nUnderstanding of Ethereum and MEV: You should have a general understanding of Ethereum and MEV, with a willingness and ability to rapidly expand this knowledge.\n\n* \nCommunication Skills: Exhibit excellent communication skills and the capability of articulating complex concepts in a clear manner. We build products to maximally decentralize public blockchains, redistribute MEV, and empower users. We work closely with our community to ensure that our products have a positive impact, are secure, and can be used in production at scale.\n\nOur Impact\nSince the launch of Flashbots, we have had an immense impact on the world of cryptocurrency. The Flashbots Auction was launched in alpha in January 2021 and was quickly adopted by almost all Ethereum miners. Prior to Ethereum's Merge in 2022, Flashbots launched MEV-Boost, a temporary solution for out-of-protocol proposer-builder separation. MEV-Boost has since been adopted by over 90% of Ethereum validators and has significantly influenced the Ethereum PoS ecosystem. Now, Flashbots continues its journey with the introduction of MEV-Share as we continue our journey toward SUAVE.\n\nOur Research\nFlashbots Research is an independent arm of the organization that aims to become the hub of MEV research. In addition to conducting in-house analysis, Flashbots Research collaborates with external researchers at other institutions via an external grants program. Flashbots Research continues to publish seminal research on MEV, covering a wide range of topics including cross-chain MEV, EIP1559 and MEV, how ETH2 affects MEV, SGX and privacy, and more. For a full list of publications, visit writings.flashbots.net.\n\nWhy Flashbots?\n\n* Competitive salary\n\n* Significantly above market rate equity compensation package\n\n* Unlimited PTO with a high level of freedom and autonomy for your work\n\n* Attractive health cover package for US employees\n\n* Yearly budget for your individual learning and development goals\n\n* Work alongside the brightest minds in the crypto space\n\n* Help build the future of blockchain technology\n\n* Remote working - travel and work from anywhere in the world\n\n* Paid travel - team on-sites in different parts of the world, several times a year\n\n\n\nAt Flashbots, we are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates regardless of their gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, age, or disability status.\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Crypto, Ethereum and Non Tech jobs that are similar:\n\n $70,000 — $120,000/year\n

Building Decarbonization Coalition is hiring a
Remote California Senior Communications Associate

\nABOUT THE COALITION \n\nThe Building Decarbonization Coalition (BDC) aligns critical stakeholders on a path to transform the nationโ€™s buildings through clean energy, using policy, research, market development, and public engagement. The BDC and its members are charting the course to eliminate fossil fuels in buildings to improve peopleโ€™s health, cut climate and air pollution, prioritize high road jobs, and ensure that our communities are more resilient to the impacts of climate change.\n\nIn California, homes and buildings generate about a quarter of the stateโ€™s climate pollution and are the second largest source of pollution after the transportation sector. This pollution also fuels the climate crisis, exacerbating extreme heat wildfires. California has an urgent need to transition the building sector to run on clean energy and be serviced by zero-emission equipment. Through building decarbonization, California can cut pollution and deliver cleaner air, protect public health, provide life-saving cooling to the 25% of Californians who lack it, and meet the stateโ€™s ambitious climate targets.\n\nPOSITION SUMMARY\n\nAs the California Senior Communications Associate, you will report to the Senior California Communications Manager and work closely with the California Team. You will be responsible for supporting communications related to policy, regulatory work, and consumer inspiration in a way that reflects BDCโ€™s unique brand, vision, mission and values. In addition to supporting the California Team, this role will interface and coordinate with external media/press, and collaborate with BDCโ€™s Communications Team and especially the Switch Is On Team, which oversees a rapidly growing public awareness campaign designed to boost consumer and contractor understanding of the health and environmental benefits of electrifying our homes. \n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\n\nContent & Strategy\n\n\n* Write compelling and well-researched content, including emails, op-eds, pitches, blog posts, newsletters, social media posts, speeches, talking points, fact sheets, and other materials using best practices for internal and external communications.\n\n* Coordinate, track, update, and execute the strategic communications plan and help evaluate the communications objectives, targets, tactics, and outcomes.\n\n* Support communications to external and internal stakeholders with an understanding and empathy towards stakeholder sensitivities and priorities.\n\n* Monitor stories and trends in the media related to or impacting building decarbonization, policy, regulations, and consumer attitudes.\n\n* Prepare team members and press contacts for public speaking engagements and media interviews, providing talking points, speeches, and presentation materials using Powerpoint and/or Google Slides.\n\n* Organize communications materials so they are easily accessible within BDC and for our coalition partners.\n\n* Coordinate with the Brand Designer to produce basic graphics and visuals to accompany written materials.\n\n* Coordinate with the Communications Team to publish or post content on the website and social media platforms.\n\n* Coordinate with the Events and Communications Teams in support of California Team events.\n\n\n\n\nMedia Relations \n\n\n* Identify opportunities to boost the Coalitionโ€™s visibility and leadership in California  through writing and speaking opportunities such as opinion editorials, keynotes and expert panel participation. \n\n* Support and build relationships with journalists to enhance the Coalitionโ€™s position as a trusted expert on building electrification.\n\n* Work with consultants and partners on supporting communications needs, including but not limited to pitching reporters.\n\n\n\n\nTeam Coordination\n\n\n* Maintain the California Team and Communication Teamโ€™s communications/editorial calendars in Google Calendar, Excel, and/or Asana.\n\n* Maintain and update contact lists and send out emails through Hubspot, listservs, and other platforms. \n\n* Explore, test and iterate new communications technologies and platforms to help track media, disseminate content, and measure success. \n\n* Support live and virtual events on Zoom and Swoogo.\n\n\n\n\nSKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS\n\n\n* 3+ years of communications experience, ideally within the clean energy and/or climate solution landscape. \n\n* Genuine passion for building decarbonization, environmental impact, and equitable climate solutions.\n\n* Outstanding written and oral communications skills that demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and an ability to convey compelling stories and content to media, policymakers, and the public.\n\n* Ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise way.\n\n* Enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who is a self-starter and can work independently.\n\n* Excellent organizational, project, and time management skills to ensure that campaigns and projects advance to meet deadlines.\n\n* Strategic thinker and problem solver who learns quickly and is able to research and leverage information to enhance content and campaigns.\n\n* A high degree of emotional intelligence and an ability to support collaboration between teams and among diverse stakeholders.\n\n* Fluency in Spanish or another language is a plus.\n\n\n\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT, SCHEDULE & TRAVEL \n\nThe California Senior Communications Associate will work remotely from their home and can be based anywhere in California.  Some travel will be required.
