๐Ÿ‘‰ Please reference you found the job on Remote OK, this helps us get more companies to post here, thanks!

When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy equipment which they then pay you back for later. Also never pay for trainings you have to do. Those are scams! NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Posts that link to pages with "how to work online" are also scams. Don't use them or pay for them. Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. A good idea is to check the domain name for the site/email and see if it's the actual company's main domain name. Scams in remote work are rampant, be careful! Read more to avoid scams. When clicking on the button to apply above, you will leave Remote OK and go to the job application page for that company outside this site. Remote OK accepts no liability or responsibility as a consequence of any reliance upon information on there (external sites) or here.

Remote Senior Mobile Developer Passage

Over 100,000 businesses and millions of people log in to 1Password to unlock smart, simple access to everything they care about. Our vision is to create a safer, simpler digital future for everyone, and our culture values simplicity, honesty and a human-centric approach to solving problems. Come help us unlock peace of mind so everyone can stay safer online.\n\n\nThe Passage team is building a standalone authentication and user management platform, Passage by 1Password. Passage enables developers to level up UX and account security in their apps with a modern user management platform that offers everything needed for identity, authentication, and authorization while progressively guiding users into the passwordless future.\n\n\nPassage is seeking an experienced senior mobile engineer to help build an internet-scale product. You will be contributing to critical and lasting technical decisions while working with the most modern technologies. Youโ€™ll focus on feature development and enhancements of the Passage product which will include new features to our admin console, native mobile SDKs, cross-platform SDKs (such as React Native and Flutter), drop-in components, and more.\n\n\nThis is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.\n\n\n\nWhat we're looking for:\n* 5+ years of experience building polished, consumer-grade mobile applications\n* You love focusing on the developer experience and thrive when creating tools, libraries, and services that are truly delightful for other mobile developers to use\n* Exceptional skills in at least one of the following, and exposure to at least one other (bonus points for more than one): native iOS development, native Android development, Flutter, or React Native\n* You willingly dive into the nuances (and occasional quirks!) of building native and cross-platform mobile applications\n* You consider yourself (or are willing to become) a T-shaped developer and will bring both a depth of expertise and a breadth of competency and knowledge throughout the mobile ecosystem\n* You value autonomy and enjoy room to make decisions - we have a startup spirit and trust everyone's best judgment to keep a fast (and sustainable!) pace\n* Working collaboratively with others is second nature to you and something you thoroughly enjoy\n\n\n\nWhat you can expect:\n* Work closely with the team to design and build Passageโ€™s mobile experience while contributing to the technical vision and roadmap for our mobile libraries (including iOS, Android, Flutter, and React Native)\n* Constructively identify and solve novel problems with our team\n* Improve engineering processes, and hold yourself and the team to a high standard of quality; consistently ship small features and improvements with minimal guidance and support from other team members\n* Create and maintain beautiful customer-facing example apps and documentation\n* Become a subject matter expert on all of Passage's mobile code from our SDKs to embeddable elements and beyond\n\n\n\nBonus points for:\n* Experience leveraging the latest mobile tooling to develop reliable and robust automated test suites ensuring high-confidence releases and high-quality code\n* Experience building or contributing to SDKs\n* An understanding of core web development concepts and some experience with modern front-end frameworks like Vue, React, Angular, etc\n* Familiarity with authentication protocols (e.g. WebAuthn, OIDC, etc)\n\n\n\n\n\nEven if you don't tick all those boxes, we'd like to hear from you.\n\n\nThe most important thing you can bring to this job is the drive to dive in, get the work done, and fix root causes instead of treating symptoms. We believe in continuous learning and support professional development on the job with a budget to back it up. If you bring a desire to do the right thing for our customers, a sense of ownership over the product you work on, and a focus on shipping quality code, we want to hear from you.\n\n\nUSA-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $153,000 USD and $207,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.\n\n\nCanada-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $140,000 CAD and $190,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Passwordโ€™s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.\n\n\nAt 1Password, we approach each individual's compensation with a promise of fair market value and internal equity commensurate with experience and specific skill set.\n\n\nWhat we offer:\n\n\nWe believe in working hard, and resting hard. Weโ€™re always looking for new ways to support our team members, but hereโ€™s a glance at what we currently offer: \n\n\nHealth and wellbeing\n> ๐Ÿ‘ถ Maternity and parental leave top up programs\n> ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ Wellness spending account\n> ๐Ÿ Generous PTO policy \n> ๐Ÿ’– Company-wide wellness days off scheduled throughout the year \n> ๐Ÿง  Wellness Coach membership\n> ๐Ÿฉบ Comprehensive health coverage\n\n\n Growth and future \n> ๐Ÿ“ˆ Employee stock option program for all full time employees \n> ๐Ÿ’ธ Retirement matching program\n> ๐Ÿ’ก Training budget, 1Password University access, and learning sessions \n> ๐Ÿ”‘ Free 1Password account (and friends and family discount!) \n\n\nFlexibility and community\n> ๐Ÿค Paid volunteer days \n> ๐ŸŒŽ Employee-led DEI&B programs and ERGs\n> ๐Ÿ  Fully remote environment\n> ๐Ÿ† Peer-to-peer recognition through Bonusly \n\n\nYou belong here. \n\n\n1Password is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. If you require an accommodation, please speak to your talent acquisition partner or email us at [email protected] and weโ€™ll work to meet your needs. \n\n\nRemote work is a part of our DNA. Given that our company was founded remotely in 2005, we can safely say we're experts at building remote culture. That said, remote work at 1Password does mean working from your home country. If you've got questions or concerns about this your Talent Partner would be happy to address them with you.\n\n\nSuccessful applicants will be required to complete a background check that may consist of prior employment verification, reference checks, education confirmation, criminal background, publicly available social media, credit history, or other information, as permitted by local law.\n\n\nCandidate Privacy Notice\n\n\nWhen you apply for a position, refer a candidate, or are being considered for a role at AgileBits, Inc. We use this information to evaluate your candidacy for the posted position. We also store this information, and may use it in relation to future positions to which you apply, or which we believe may be relevant to you given your background.\n\n\nCandidates may also optionally choose to self-identify their race/ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, and disability. These answers will help us evaluate our diversity and belonging efforts. You do not have to answer these questionsโ€”your answers will not be linked to your name or job application, will not be visible to the hiring manager reviewing your application, and will in no way affect your job application. Nexus Mutual is hiring a
Remote Senior Frontend Engineer

\nNexus Mutual is an on-chain risk marketplace operated by and for members. Our mission is to build an ecosystem in which anyone can protect anyone else by sharing risk. The mutual launched in 2019 and has become the leading coverage provider within the DeFi ecosystem with more than $7.3m in claims, that have been paid to date.\n\nThe protocol provides a decentralized, transparent alternative to traditional insurance companies. The economic incentives within the mutual solve the centralized insurance industry's core problem: the principal-agent problem.\n\nWhat weโ€™re looking for\n\nWe are looking for a frontend engineer to work with us to build the premier on-chain risk marketplace for DeFi, CeFi and beyond. You can learn more about us here: Twitter, Discord, Github. Someone who can work end to end, to help us build and deploy intuitive user interfaces that span our web pages and applications.\n\n\n\n\nOur team is working with web3 technologies across the stack. The ideal person is someone who is user oriented, has a good understanding of UX best practices, is passionate about building scalable applications, and highly curious about DeFi and Crypto.\n\n\n\n\nApp layer: React.js, Redux, ReduxSaga, Reselect, GraphQL, Node.js, TypeScript, AssemblyScript, MongoDB\n\nWeb3: Solidity, OpenZeppelin, Chainlink oracles, Hardhat, Mocha, Chai, Tenderly, IPFS, The Graph, Ethers.js, Web3-onboard.js\n\nInfrastructure: AWS, CircleCI, Coveralls, Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAreas you will contribute to\n\n\n* Develop and maintain the Nexus Mutual web pages and applications\n\n* Integrate with our smart contracts to fetch data around covers, claims, and staking\n\n* Continuously adapt the design framework based on research and user needs to improve usability\n\n* Integrate and adapt the UI for the new Governance system, once we adopt it\n\n* Keep up with smart contract changes, review contributions, and components developed by the ecosystem and design partners\n\n* Integrate with other chains to build native experiences for users to be able to prove losses\n\n* Debug and fix user-reported issues\n\n\n\n\n\n* 5+ years of experience on frontend development and JS based frameworks\n\n* Proficient with React, Redux, CSS and HTML\n\n* Understanding of API frameworks, plus experience with fetching and displaying dynamic data\n\n* Understanding of modern, client-side, architecture\n\n* Being self-motivated and eager to keep up with the fast paced and agile team.\n\n* Being obsessed with clean code and engineering best practices\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou will stand out if\n\n\n* You are interested in decentralization and web3 technologies\n\n* You are curious about crypto, DeFi, tokenomics and game theory\n\n* You have experience with the web3 frontend stack (ethers.js / web3.js, etc)\n\n* You have knowledge of UX best practices\n\n* You have worked on finance-related, retail or institutional products\n\n* You have a keen eye for security\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhatโ€™s in it for you\n\n\n* Be part of a small and dynamic team, where passion for our work describes and sets the tone for everything that we do.\n\n* Opportunity to get involved in solving both technical and philosophical challenges around human coordination in the context of insurance\n\n* Flexible remote work schedule, with regular in-person offsites. We are a fully remote organization that strives to pave the way for the future of insurance.\n\n* A competitive fixed (fiat component) compensation package, plus a generous token allocation.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhy are we doing this?\n\nThe concept of insurance comes from communities in the past who pooled their resources to protect each other from the risks they all faced. It works better the more people are in the pool as the numbers become more reliable. But this method isnโ€™t scalable because it is a trust-based system and the network of individuals trusted by everyone in the pool only extends so far. Hence traditional insurance companies emerged.\n\nWhen Ethereum and smart contracts came along we realised we could apply our insurance industry knowledge to our passion for decentralised technology. We realised we could build a mutual on a platform where individuals only need to trust the system, not everyone in it.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSpecifically, we could see a solution to the problem of agencyโ€”where an insurer looks after customers' money on their behalf. We also saw the opportunity to make significant cost savings compared to the traditional insurance model. As weโ€™re already in the UK, we have the perfect base to build out this concept due to the existing law around mutuality.\n\nThe aim is to provide our members with more simple, transparent, accessible, and affordable financial protection against their risks.\n\nMore info here ๐Ÿ‘‰ https://nexusmutual.gitbook.io/docs/welcome/faq/nexus-mutual-the-basics \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Design, Web3, Ethereum, CSS, API, Senior and Engineer jobs that are similar:\n\n $60,000 — $110,000/year\n

Octopus Energy Group is hiring a
Remote Senior Machine Learning Engineer

\nKraken is the technology tentacle of the Octopus Energy Group. \n\n\nOur team\n\n\nAll our technology is written and maintained by a multi-discipline engineering team of around 600 people globally. Our engineers work in โ€˜super teamsโ€™ which are focused on key areas of our platform as well as other innovative products. This also includes server-side, client-side and mobile engineers working closely with UX experts, copywriters and designers. \n \nTeams are empowered to choose a way of working that works for them, often opting for a Kanban-like approach. Notion and Asana are then used to specify and manage work; Github, CircleCI and Terraform Enterprise as part of an immutable-infrastructure, continuous delivery pipeline; and Datadog, Sentry and Cloudwatch to measure performance and monitor production. \n\n\nWeโ€™re now charging Kraken to power utilities beyond energy (think water, broadband,..) and have created a new business Kraken Utilities. We are building an innovation (ML/Data/AI) team from scratch and are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join and help us scale, implement a good culture, and work on some really exciting tech challenges. \n \nYou'll join a small team working on research around how to help prevent water leakage (think domestic water usage trends, leak detection software, smart meter data trends etc). You'll also get the chance to work on Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs) to build things like message generating systems.\n \nSome of our coding conventions are open-source . \n \nKraken is a great place to learn, work with some talented engineers and level-up your skills.  \n \nOur technology\n\n\nOur Data/ML stack includes: Python, SQL, pandas, Numpy, AWS, PyTorch, TensorFlow, NLP. \n\n\nOn the server-side, we mainly use Python. Most of our websites are powered by Django, Django-REST-framework and GraphQL (Graphene).  \n \nWe use AWS heavily  as part of a continuous deployment pipeline. See, for example, Django, ELB health checks and continuous delivery. \n \nClient-side, we use React, htmx and SASS; our mobile apps are built using native code or React Native.\n\n\n\nWhat you'll do\n* Design, build, and deploy cutting-edge machine learning systems to address complex business challenges\n* Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including product managers, software engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver exceptional ML products\n* Stay at the forefront of technology. Explore and evaluate new technologies to inspire the creation of new ML products and enhance existing ones\n* Conduct A/B experiments in collaboration with other teams, analyse results, and iterate to drive continuous improvement\n* Embrace ambiguity. As we scale, your role will evolve, and you should be comfortable adapting to changing responsibilities and focus areas\n\n\n\nWhat you'll need\n* You have a proven track record with 5+ years of hands-on experience applying machine learning to real-world business challenges within an industry setting\n* A solid foundation in the fundamentals of machine learning is a must. You are proficient in exploratory data analysis, model selection, model pipeline development, and the end-to-end process of model deployment and monitoring\n* Demonstrated expertise in Python, SQL, and common ML, DL and visualisation libraries such as pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, tensorflow/pytorch, matplotlib etc.\n* Experienced in cloud technologies, preferably with AWS\n* Strong communication skills are essential. You can articulate complex technical concepts to a diverse range of stakeholders with clarity\n* Proficient in software engineering fundamentals including version control and CI/CD pipelines\n* Nice to have:\n\n\n* Experience building NLP products\n* Experience using dbt\n\n\n\nWhy else you'll love it here\n* Wondering what the salary for this role is? Just ask us! On a call with one of our recruiters it's something we always cover as we genuinely want to match your experience with the correct salary. The reason why we don't advertise is because we honestly have a degree of flexibility and would never want salary to be a reason why someone doesn't apply to Octopus - what's more important to us is finding the right octofit!\n* Octopus Energy is a unique culture. An organisation where people learn, decide, and build quicker. Where people work with autonomy, alongside a wide range of amazing co-owners, on projects that break new ground. We want your hard work to be rewarded with perks you actually care about! We won best company to work for in 2022, on Glassdoor we we're voted 50 best places to work in 2022 and our Group CEO, Greg has recorded a podcast about our culture and how we empower our people \n* Visit our perks hub - Octopus Employee Benefits\n\n\n\n\n\nThis team will require candidates to work on a hybrid remote basis, coming into our office in Oxford Circus 1-2 days a week. You do also need to be able to work in the UK. \n\n\nWe're very excited to be growing our team. We're looking for skills and experience to help shape and define the future of not only our team, but the wider business at a global scale. If you're reading this and grinning, please apply! There are huge challenges to tackle, and we need amazing people who are keen to get stuck in.\n\n\n\n\nIf this sounds like you then we'd love to hear from you. \n\n\nStudies have shown that some groups of people, like women, are less likely to apply to a role unless they meet 100% of the job requirements. Whoever you are, if you like one of our jobs, we encourage you to apply as you might just be the candidate we hire. Across Octopus, we're looking for genuinely decent people who are honest and empathetic. Our people are our strongest asset and the unique skills and perspectives people bring to the team are the driving force of our success.

Octopus Energy is hiring a
Remote Senior Backend Developer Supportsite Team

\nKraken is the technology tentacle of the Octopus Energy Group. \n\n\nAll technology is written and maintained by a multi-discipline engineering team of around 300 people globally. \n \nSome of our coding conventions are open-source . \n \nKraken is a great place to learn, work with some talented engineers and level-up your skills.  \n \nOur technology\nOn the server-side, we mainly use Python. Most of our websites are powered by Django, Django-REST-framework and GraphQL (Graphene).  \n \nWe use AWS heavily  as part of a continuous deployment pipeline. See, for example, Django, ELB health checks and continuous delivery. \n \nClient-side, we use React, htmx and SASS; our mobile apps are built using native code or React Native.\n\n\nOur team\nOur teamโ€™s goal is to make Kraken as awesome as the Energy Specialists who use it every day. We work closely with them and our in-house designers to keep making it better and better. Beyond that, our work empowers Krakenโ€™s many backend teams to build amazing features without having to worry about CSS and JavaScript getting in their way. We do this by building our own design system, working with other teams on building new features, and ensuring Kraken is a joy to work on. All while adding new features and maintaining existing functionality.\n\n\nWeโ€™re looking for a strong backend developer with a solid understanding of Django, to help us become even more of a full-stack powerhouse.\n\n\nSo, would you like to work in a team that gets the opportunity to collaborate with others, and dip into many domains? Would you like to help shape the experience of Energy Specialists using Kraken? Would you like to help come up with the best patterns to build an awesome website, from Django templates, to React, to HTMX? Would you like to mentor Frontend devs who want to build out their skills and go full-stack, while learning a few Frontend tricks from them? Give us a shout.\n\n\n\nWhat you'll do\n* We have lots of difficult design challenges to solve. The UK utilities market is complicated, outdated and process-heavy - there's an awful lot of domain modelling that we need to get right. Strong attention to detail is essential.\n* We have challenging technical problems to solve; like processing tens of millions of meter readings a day. We need the right technology in place to handle this smoothly as well as feeding data into a machine learning pipeline that models and predicts consumption. Or thinking about how we adapt Kraken to improve other utilities like water and broadband.\n* There's a great opportunity for disruption in the UK energy market. The big suppliers still dominate, but are not exactly popular. The energy landscape is changing as we move to more dis-aggregated forms of generation, with less predictability, more dynamism and smarter technology.\n* You'll be working for a company thatโ€™s fighting climate change. Our generation arm is the largest investor in solar generation in the UK, and is funding wind and anaerobic digestion. As a supplier, we're helping people to use greener technology and renewable energy, all helping move the UK towards a lower carbon future.\n\n\n\nWhat you'll need\n* We're looking for someone with a general interest in technology and problem-solving; someone diligent and thoughtful. It would be helpful to have experience/expertise in the following (in rough priority order):\n* Python\n* Django (or equiv. web framework)\n* Domain modelling\n* HTTP and REST APIs\n* Writing robust and fault-tolerant software\n* Celery and async processing\n* Postgres\n\nPlus experience in the following would be a bonus:\n* AWS\n* Terraform, Packer, Consul\n* React and Redux\n\n\n\nWhy else you'll love about us\n* Wondering what the salary for this role is? We won best company to work for in 2022, on Glassdoor we we're voted 50 best places to work in 2022 and our Group CEO, Greg has recorded a podcast about our culture and how we empower our people \n* Visit our perks hub - Octopus Employee Benefits\n\n\n\n\n\nWe would prefer someone who can work in our London office but will consider remote candidates. However, you do need to be able to work in the UK. \n\n\nWe're very excited to be growing our team. We're looking for skills and experience to help shape and define the future of not only our team, but the wider business at a global scale. If you're reading this and grinning, please apply! There are huge challenges to tackle, and we need amazing people who are keen to get stuck in.\n\n\nIf this sounds like you then we'd love to hear from you. As an equal opportunity employer, we do not discriminate on the basis of any protected attribute. Our commitment is to provide equal opportunities, an inclusive work environment, and fairness for everyone.\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Design, React, GraphQL, Django, JavaScript, CSS, Mobile, Senior and Backend jobs that are similar:\n\n $50,000 — $100,000/year\n

Monzo is hiring a
Remote Senior iOS Engineer

\n๐Ÿ“Anywhere, UK | ๐Ÿ’ฐ ยฃ80,000 - ยฃ140,000 base salary per year โž• plus stock options + Benefits \nAbout us\n\nWeโ€™re here to make money work for everyone and we're doing things differently. For too long, banking has been obtuse, complex and opaque.\n\nWe want to change that and build a bank with everyone, for everyone. Our amazing community suggests features, test the app and give us constant feedback so we can build something everyone loves.\n\nWe're focused on solving problems, rather than selling financial products. We want to make the world a better place and change people's lives through Monzo.\nAbout our mobile engineering practice\n\nOur mobile engineers have a variety of different backgrounds\n\nThere are 25 iOS engineers at Monzo and weโ€™re looking for one more to join the team. We have several non-graduates; only some of us studied Computer Science; some of us have worked in huge companies; some have only ever worked in startups; others are former consultants. As long as you enjoy learning new things, weโ€™d love to talk to you.\n\nWe are actively creating an equitable environment for all of our engineers to thrive\n\nDiversity and inclusion are a priority for us and we are making sure we have lots of support for all of our people to grow at Monzo. We provide a sponsorship framework in Engineering for women and people of colour; all of our leaders are trained on privilege awareness and we are creating partnerships with organisations dedicated to supporting underrepresented groups.\n\nWe encourage an open and transparent working environment\n\nYou can get involved in any aspect of the business you are interested in and, following Stripeโ€™s example, all emails in the company are visible in an email archive. We default to transparency and prefer to communicate openly in Slack rather than by email or in DMs. Our blog is an excellent place to learn even more about what we do!\n\nMonzo works in project-based sprints in small, interdisciplinary teams\n\nWe have 200+ engineers out of roughly 2,500 people in total - and we have big ambitions. There are many interesting challenges ahead, and we're happy for people to move between teams or to specialise, whatever you prefer. As an engineer here you'd be able to work directly with anyone across the company, and we run regular knowledge-sharing sessions so youโ€™ll learn heaps about everything from how banks work to effective communication.\nYour day-to-day\n\nWeโ€™re searching for a product-aware Senior iOS engineers with a passion for great UI and UX to join our team. You understand the need for tested, resilient code balanced against the need to move fast and iterate.\n\nYouโ€™ll be working on a product that is a part of day to day life for more than 6 million people already, and your work here will shape the way that people interact with their finances.\n\nThis role is all about collaborating across disciplines to test hypotheses and make a difference to customers. As an iOS engineer at Monzo you'll work in a small, autonomous product squad alongside Android Engineers, Backend Engineers, User Researchers, Product Designers, Product Managers, QA Testers, Data Scientists and Business Analysts.\n\nYour mission will depend on the squad, but currently mobile engineers are working on the core personal banking experience, paid products, lending products, business banking and internal operations. We also have a small squad dedicated to enabling other mobile engineers to move faster.\n\nYou and your team will be responsible for an overall company goal, rather than building a specific feature - you'll have the opportunity to have impact on both what we build, and how we build it.\n\nEvery week we meet as a discipline to discuss tools, techniques, problems we're encountering across the company and work together to improve our codebase and processes.\n\nYou'll report to an engineering manager who will meet with you every 2 weeks 1:1, their mission is to help you develop and grow as an engineer.\nOur iOS app\n\nAt Monzo, you'll get to work with industry standard tools and technologies - and help us define what great looks like for iOS engineers.\n\nOur app is 100% Swift, built using a Model, View, View-Model architecture (MVVM). We use Coordinators to ensure we can re-use screens wherever possible, and avoid tightly coupling one screen to another. We make heavy use of protocols and extensions throughout our app.\n\nOur networking stack is built upon Alamofire, using a generic interface to easily de-serialise objects of a certain type, and we mirror our backend micro-service architecture by building individual services to house our API logic.\n\nWe persist objects using Realm when we need to.\n\nOur testing stack comprises of unit tests for business logic, stubbed API tests for pseudo-integration tests, snapshot tests for UI, and XCUITest for testing user input and sequencing.\n\nWe've published some talks and blog posts about how we work:\n\n\nWorking with backend services on iOS\n\nPushing Protocols to their Limits\n\nThe Release Mindset (how we release our apps)\n\n\n\nYou should apply if\n\nOur open roles are for Senior iOS Engineers at present.\n\n\nYou'll care about the impact your work has on our customers, and optimise for impact rather than the number of lines of code you output\n\nYou are excited about and have experience in programming in Swift\n\nYouโ€™ve shipped and iterated on at least one app in the App Store\n\nYou have a product mindset: you care about customer outcomes and you want to make data-informed decisions\n\nYou love turning excellent design into beautiful products\n\nYouโ€™re comfortable working in a team that deals with ambiguity\n\nYou have an understanding of the principles of computer science\n\n\n\nThe interview process\n\nOur interview process consists of a 45 min initial call video interview, a take-home code test followed by a 45 min video call with an engineer to discuss it, and 2 hours of final interviews conducted via video call as well. The final rounds consists:\n\n1h iOS technical\n\nYou'll meet 2 other iOS engineers. Together we'll go over some technical challenges we've faced as a company. We'll ask you to come up with designs to solve these problems, and we'll ask you questions about your experience using Swift in production.\n\n1h Behavioural\n\nYou'll meet 2 Monzonauts to chat about some of the non-technical parts of being a product engineer at Monzo. These include your experience in delivery, team work, coaching/mentoring and persuasion.\n\nAt each stage you'll have an opportunity to ask us questions about what life is like at Monzo. \n\nWe promise not to ask you any brain teasers or trick questions. We might design a solution together on a whiteboard, the same way we often work together, but we wonโ€™t make you write code on one.\n\n\nOur average process takes around 3-4 weeks but we will always work around your availability. You will have the chance to speak to our recruitment team at various points during your process but if you do have any specific questions ahead of this please contact us on [email protected] \n\nOne of our Hiring Managers has written a detailed blog on our process, for extra details, hints and tips please see this blog post.\nWhat's in it for you\n\n๐Ÿ’ฐ ยฃ80,000 - ยฃ140,000 base salary per year โž• plus stock options & benefits, we also provide all of our engineers with the latest MacBook Pro (M1 Pro).\n\nโœˆ๏ธ We can help you relocate to the UK \n\nโœ… We can sponsor visas but please note we aren't able to support remote working outside of the UK at the moment\n\n๐Ÿ“ This role can be based in our London office, but we're open to distributed working within the UK (with ad hoc meetings in London)\n\nโฐ We offer flexible working hours and trust you to work enough hours to do your job well, at times that suit you and your team\n\n๐Ÿ“š Learning budget of ยฃ1,000 a year for books, training courses and conferences\n\nโž• And much more, see our full list of benefits here\n\nIf you prefer to work part-time, we'll make this happen whenever we can - whether this is to help you meet other commitments or strike a great work-life balance.\nEqual Opportunity Statement\n\nWe are actively creating an equitable environment for every Monzonaut to thrive.\n\nDiversity and inclusion are a priority for us and we are making sure we have lots of support for all of our people to grow at Monzo. At Monzo, embracing diversity in all of its forms and fostering an inclusive environment for all people to do the best work of their lives with us.
