Airbyte is hiring a
Remote Senior Developer Advocate Engineer

\nAirbyte is the open-source standard for EL(T). We enable data teams to replicate data from applications, APIs, and databases to data warehouses, lakes, and other destinations. We believe only an open-source approach can solve the problem of data integration, as it enables us to cover the long tail of integrations while enabling teams to adapt pre-built connectors to their needs.\n \nSo far, we've built over 350 connectors and have had 35,000+ companies replicating data with us. We've raised $181M from some of the world's top investors (Benchmark, Accel, Altimeter, Coatue, Y Combinator, etc.) and believe in product-led growth, where we build something awesome and let our product bring the users, rather than an outbound sales engine with cold calls.\n \nAirbyte is remote friendly, with most of the team still based in Silicon Valley. We’re fully transparent as a company. Our company handbook, core values, methodology, strategy and roadmap are open to all.\n \nIf you find this role exciting, we encourage you to apply even if you think you don’t meet all requirements.\n\n \n\n\nOpportunity\n\nAs a Senior Developer Advocate Engineer, you’ll establish strong relationships with data engineers and engineers around the world in a scalable way, by crafting great resources to help developers build with Airbyte, including open-source demos, code samples, documentation, how-to guides, live demos, and hackathons. You’ll foster developer communities, championing their interests and translating their feedback into actionable product insights.\n\nIf you’re passionate about connecting with developers and the data ecosystem, trying out new technologies, and sharing what you’ve learned with the world, we’d love to hear from you.\n\nWhat You'll Do\n\n\n* Partner closely with product and engineering: Support our feature launches with technical content to drive eyeballs to them, and strengthen Airbyte’s infrastructure reliability perception.\n\n* Lead the technical content theme on “database replication”:  Create deep technical content and sample projects addressing databases and their replications. Position Airbyte as the biggest thought leader on that topic. \n\n* Support our meetup program in San Francisco: Collaborate closely with partners to bring interesting topics / speakers to our meetup group “Data Bytes”. Remote Senior Modelling Product Manager Code Generation

\nWho are we?\nOur mission is to scale intelligence to serve humanity. We’re training and deploying frontier models for developers and enterprises who are building AI systems to power magical experiences like content generation, semantic search, RAG, and agents. We believe that our work is instrumental to the widespread adoption of AI.\n\n\nWe obsess over what we build. Each one of us is responsible for contributing to increasing the capabilities of our models and the value they drive for our customers. We like to work hard and move fast to do what’s best for our customers.\n\n\nCohere is a team of researchers, engineers, designers, and more, who are passionate about their craft. Each person is one of the best in the world at what they do. We believe that a diverse range of perspectives is a requirement for building great products.\n\n\nJoin us on our mission and shape the future!\n\n\nModeling Product Management at Cohere\nThe role of a modelling PM at Cohere is unique. You will be working to define some of the highest impact products ever built in close partnerships with many of the best ML and AI researchers in the world. You will therefore need exceptional product and technical skills.\n\n\nYou will make full use of your product experience and insight to understand the paradigm shift that enterprises are going through and how new use cases and ways of working are emerging as a result of the technologies Cohere is working on. You will combine this with your deep technical understanding of what the technology is capable of, as well as its limitations, to define the product strategy for your area.\n\n\nYou will also work down in the detail alongside your ML colleagues, understanding what’s easy and what’s hard, and the technical and organizational challenges that need to be overcome to get things done. The boundary between product and technical work is often blurred. You will need the confidence and trust of the MLEs to make priority decisions and drive the strategy which connects their work to customer outcomes and commercial impact for Cohere.\n\n\nThe Code Generation Role\nOne of the most exciting applications for Generative AI is it's use in software development and code generation.\n\n\nIn this role you will be working as part of the core team on all aspects of code generation. As well as understanding where generative AI can be applied in current software development tooling you will also be thinking much broader to push at the limits of what non-coders can achieve using natural language and other interaction modalities. You will be working to understand where our models are weak, where they are strong, and how they need to get better. You will need to understand the data we need to train on in order to improve and how to prioritise data, evals, use cases across the many demans placed on the coding team from all sides. You will also be working closely with the tools and agents team since code generation is one of the key ways in which agents interact with the outside world though APIs.\n\n\nThis is a high-impact role which is fundamental for Cohere’s success, therefore, we're open to considering candidates at Staff and Senior Staff levels. \n\n\nTeam and Company Impact\nYou will need a scrappy, startup mentality and thrive in an environment of collaborative and creative chaos. \n\n\nYou will have a proven ability to bring meaning and strategy which helps point the way forward. \n\n\nCohere is still a small organization. The breadth of your role will be enormous and the potential for impact almost unlimited.\n\n\n\nIn order to be successful in this role, you have: \n* At least 5 years of product management experience, understanding customer needs, and launching successful products.\n* At least 2 years product management experience guiding the work of research-inspired teams building AI models and/or related products.\n* A strong technical background and understanding from working hands on with NLP, LLMs or other AI technologies, either as an MLE, a data scientist, or as part of a postgraduate degree or research program.\n\n\n\n* [Bonus] Bachelor’s or postgrad degree in CS, ML or related field, or a background in machine learning, algorithms, large scale systems, and statistics\n* [Bonus] Experience with LLMs, code generation, or building products loved by many developers\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIf some of the above doesn’t line up perfectly with your experience, we still encourage you to apply! If you consider yourself a thoughtful worker, a lifelong learner, and a kind and playful team member, Cohere is the place for you.\n\n\nWe value and celebrate diversity and strive to create an inclusive work environment for all. We welcome applicants of all kinds and are committed to providing an equal opportunity process. Cohere provides accessibility accommodations during the recruitment process. Should you require any accommodation, please let us know and we will work with you to meet your needs.\n\n\nOur Perks: \n🤝 An open and inclusive culture and work environment \n🧑‍💻 Work closely with a team on the cutting edge of AI research \n🍽 Weekly lunch stipend, in-office lunches & snacks\n🦷 Full health and dental benefits, including a separate budget to take care of your mental health \n🐣 100% Parental Leave top-up for 6 months for employees based in Canada, the US, and the UK\n🎨 Personal enrichment benefits towards arts and culture, fitness and well-being, quality time, and workspace improvement\n🏙 Remote-flexible, offices in Toronto, Palo Alto, San-Francisco and London and co-working stipend\n✈️ 6 weeks of vacation\n\n\nNote: This post is co-authored by both Cohere humans and Cohere technology. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Senior and Senior jobs that are similar:\n\n $60,000 — $110,000/year\n

👉 Please reference you found the job on Remote OK, this helps us get more companies to post here, thanks!

When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy equipment which they then pay you back for later. Also never pay for trainings you have to do. Those are scams! NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Posts that link to pages with "how to work online" are also scams. Don't use them or pay for them. Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. A good idea is to check the domain name for the site/email and see if it's the actual company's main domain name. Scams in remote work are rampant, be careful! Read more to avoid scams. When clicking on the button to apply above, you will leave Remote OK and go to the job application page for that company outside this site. Remote OK accepts no liability or responsibility as a consequence of any reliance upon information on there (external sites) or here.
