**About Us**\n\nAt [Close](https://close.com), we're building the sales communication platform of the future. With our roots as the very first sales CRM to include built-in calling, we're leading the industry toward eliminating manual processes and helping companies to close more deals (faster). Since our founding in 2013, we've grown to become a profitable, 100% globally distributed team of 43 high-performing, happy people that are dedicated to building a product our customers love.\n\nOur appโs frontend is a single-page JavaScript web app mostly written in React (originally built with Backbone.js). We bundle with Webpack and target only modern browsers. We test with Jest and React Testing Library. Our UI updates in near real-time and is written in LESS/CSS (with flexbox and grid layout) using CSS modules and takes advantage of fun technologies like Websockets and WebRTC. \n\nWe care about performance (e.g. route-based code splitting), maintainability, and testability of our frontend code. We sweat the UI/UX details and work collaboratively with the Product team throughout the design process. This means diving into lo-fi Freehand wireframes, and communicating continuously when those ideas are brought to life using Figma and code.\n\nOur frontend app is built on top of our REST API & GraphQL endpoints. Our backend [tech stack](https://stackshare.io/close-crm/close) consists of Python/Flask, MongoDB, Postgres, Elasticsearch, and Redis. We run our services in Docker on AWS.\n\nWe โค๏ธ open source โ using dozens of open source projects with contributions to many of them, and released some of our own like [react-custom-scroller](https://making.close.com/posts/introducting-react-custom-scroller-component), [use-infinite-scroll](https://making.close.com/posts/introducting-use-infinite-scroll-react-hook), [use-abortable-effect](https://making.close.com/posts/introducting-use-abortable-effect-react-hook), [backbone-testing-library](https://github.com/closeio/backbone-testing-library), [smart-tooltip-delay](https://making.close.com/posts/introducing-smart-tooltip-delay-library), [Microphone Recorder to Mp3](https://github.com/closeio/mic-recorder-to-mp3), [filevalidator.js](https://github.com/closeio/filevalidator.js), [addresscompiler](https://github.com/closeio/addresscompiler), [backbone.mousetrap](https://github.com/closeio/backbone.mousetrap), and more at https://github.com/closeio.\n\n**About You**\n\nWe're looking for an experienced full-time (or part-time) Frontend Software Engineer to join our engineering team. You have significant experience with REST APIs and thoroughly understand HTTP requests. You have experience participating in code reviews and providing overall code quality suggestions to help maintain the structure and quality of the codebase.\n\nYou should have great product sense and be able to think through user experience issues before diving into the code, and you exhibit a love for great UI.\n\nYouโre comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a small and talented team where you're supported in your efforts to grow professionally. We see these retreats as an opportunity to strengthen the social fiber of our community. This team is growing in more ways than one - weโve recently launched 14 babies (and counting!). \n\nUnanimously, our favorite and most impactful value is โBuild a house you want to live in.โ We strive to make decisions that are authentic for our organization. \nDescription\nAs a well rounded software engineer, you should definitely be the type that appreciates diversity in your day, and challenges outside of your comfort level! A typical day in the life of a PacketFabric senior software engineer might include these types of activities:\n\n\n* Designing a deterministic lifecycle workflow for our next product offering.\n\n* Writing core platform code for a new feature, and unit tests for functionality.\n\n* Refactoring and improving existing code for performance and simplicity. For example, breaking a large method into smaller, more maintainable and easily tested methods.\n\n* Building command line tools to help network engineers better manage network state.\n\n* Researching additional ideas, you may have to improve the product/platform overall and sharing with the team.\n\n* Interacting with customers and/or sales on a bug in the software, quickly resolving it, and coordinating across the team to push a fix.\n\n* Working with backend engineers and discussing quirks in network protocols and network interconnection which translate rapid API and UI changes.\n\n\n\n\n\nRequirements\nThe right candidate will have an abundance of hard core programming skills, have solid instincts for API usability, design patterns and creating beautiful functional web applications. You are probably a full stack developer who naturally gravitates towards front end work. You know how to sacrifice algorithmic elegance for getting it done on deadline. More specifics include:\n\n\n* Extensive experience with Python and PHP in large applications developed in a team environment.\n\n* Expert unit tester.\n\n* Experience in large scale distributed systems.\n\n* Extensive SQL experience.\n\n* Extensive experience with the HTTP protocol and developing and using RESTful APIs.\n\n* A solid understanding of OO programming paradigms.\n\n* Experience with a message queue system like RabbitMQ or Kafka.\n\n* Experience using NoSQL data stores like Redis.\n\n* Experience creating highly maintainable Javascript.\n\n* Experience with Vue.js, Angular and/or AngularJS.\n\n* Previous exposure to layer 2/3 networking protocols and concepts such as IPv4/6, VLANs, VPNs, BGP, etc.\n\n* Be completely at home on any *nix command line and building your own tools.\n\n* Very comfortable using Git in a team environment (i.e. pull-requests, branch management, rebasing).\n\n* Experience working in an environment leveraging remote communication collaboration tools like Slack, Zoom etc.\n\n* Never being afraid to venture boldly where none have gone before and develop code where there are no previous libraries to draw from.\n\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Experience\n\n\n* A huge plus for actually doing any router/switch configuration or infrastructure automation.\n\n* Experience with Python-based web application frameworks like Flask, Django, or Sanic\n\n* Experience writing code that interacts asynchronously with detailed APIs on complex logic flows.\n\n* Any experience interacting with physical world equipment - industrial, medical, etc\n\n* Experience creating large scale data visualizations of any type.\n\n* GraphQL\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n

**ABOUT US**\n\nAt [Close](https://close.com/), we're building the sales communication platform of the future. With our roots as the very first sales CRM to include built-in calling, we're leading the industry toward eliminating manual processes and helping companies to close more deals (faster). Since our founding in 2013, we've grown to become a profitable, 100% globally distributed team of ~33 high-performing, happy people that are dedicated to building a product our customers love.\n\nOur appโs frontend is a single-page JavaScript web app mostly written in React (originally built with Backbone.js). We bundle with Webpack and target only modern browsers. We test with Enzyme and Mocha run via Puppeteer. Our UI updates in near real-time and is written in LESS/CSS (with flexbox and grid layout) using BEM methodology and takes advantage of fun technologies like Websockets and WebRTC. \n\nWe care about performance (e.g. route-based code splitting), maintainability, and testability of our frontend code. We sweat the UI/UX details and work collaboratively with the Product team throughout the design process. This means diving into lo-fi Freehand wireframes, and communicating continuously when those ideas are brought to life using Sketch/Abstract and code.\n\nOur frontend app is built on top of our REST API & GraphQL endpoints. Our backend tech stack consists of Python/Flask, MongoDB, Postgres, Elasticsearch, and Redis. We run our services in Docker on AWS.\n\nWe โค open source โ using dozens of open source projects with contributions to many of them, and released some of our own like [Microphone Recorder to Mp3](https://github.com/closeio/mic-recorder-to-mp3), [filevalidator.js,](https://github.com/closeio/filevalidator.js) [addresscompiler](https://github.com/closeio/addresscompiler), [backbone.mousetrap](https://github.com/closeio/backbone.mousetrap) and more at [Close Github](https://github.com/closeio). \n\n**ABOUT YOU**\n\nWe're looking for an experienced full-time Frontend Software Engineer to join our engineering team. Someone who has a solid understanding of web technologies and wants to help design, implement, and launch major user-facing features.\n\nYou should have senior level experience (~5 years) building modern frontend applications in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with at least 3 years of that experience using a JS framework (React, Vue, Angular, Backbone etc).\n\nYou should have significant experience designing, debugging, and optimizing frontend applications to make them fast and reliable. You have significant experience with REST APIs and thoroughly understand HTTP requests. \nJS full-time dev\n\nWe're looking for someone who likes to take ownership of a project, and see it through to completion, with or without supervision. Our stack is really new (about 2 months old) and focuses on a predictable, functional, reliable frontend… React + Observables + redux-like-stores + angular in an iframe for legacy support + native app that renders webpages as video and delivers them to Facebook (and other video services) + ruby-on-rails api backend (all json). \n \n The right candidate would be excited about being our first dev hire. There’s currently only 4 full-time founders (+ 2 part-time employees). Our product helps big brands like NBC, BuzzFeed, the New York Times, Reuters, Nasdaq, TED talks, and more broadcast high quality video to Facebook Live. We've grown really fast and can continue to do so with the right technical talent. We think this is a great fit for someone who thinks they could be great with the right mentorship. (We have one of the guys who built a js video player for one of the biggest companies in the world.)\n \n We’re previously funded by Y Combinator, and some angel investors. At this time, we do not expect to raise further funding. We’re currently profitable, and expect this to be our only company we work at for the next 50 years. We will not be selling the company unless some insane whatsapp like thing happened. We're building a forever biz, not a flip. We'd love for our perfect employee to be excited about small companies and startups, and we'd expect the right candidate to use us as a learning experience to maybe make the next step into a senior developer role.\n \n We value diverse applicant pools, so if you're part of an under-represented population in tech, we hope you'll apply. Specifically we'd love to see more women and people of color apply.\n \n We value people’s home lives. We work hard but some of the founders work 4-day weeks. Other coworkers are encouraged to do this schedule if it works for them. We also value remote work, and have cofounders in Finland and Pakistan, which should emphasize our preference for results over face time for the sake of facetime.\n \n To apply email [email protected] with a quick bio including: What you’ve built, what you like to build, what you wish you could build. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n

**We are looking for a *Dutch* front-end developer, as our application is in Dutch. Als je nu ook nog kunt communiceren komen we er denk ik wel!\n\n# Lijkt het je wat?\n\nDiplomaโs zeggen me minder dan code, dus stuur me (tino at solarmonkey punt nl) de link naar je opgepoetste Github profiel (of iets vergelijkbaars), je cv (of link naar LinkedIn profiel) en vertel me wie je bent, wat je doet en waar je โs ochtends voor je bed uit komt, dan kunnen we het zo snel mogelijk hebben over de mogelijkheden (bijvoorbeeld freelance/part-time/full-time) en alle andere variabelen en voorwaarden.\n\nExtra tags: javascript, coffeescript, angular, UI, application \n\nPlease mention the words **SURE HILL TRULY** when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RMjE2LjczLjIxNi4yNDM=).
