LeadSimple is hiring a
Remote Senior Software Engineer

🚀 Want to join a team of A-players in an exciting, high-growth, entrepreneurial environment?

LeadSimple makes it easy for property management companies to provide amazing customer service while they grow to manage thousands of doors. Our customers depend on our software daily to help them sell their services, communicate with their customers and do their critical day-to-day work.

We’re a bootstrapped, fully-remote company with no outside investors, a great product and happy customers. Our software is unique in our industry, bringing together tools that are often sold separately into a single, integrated product. Our customers love it, and the company is growing fast.

Because our platform integrates many kinds of software into a single platform, we’re always working on interesting projects! Here are just some of the awesome things we’ve built recently:

  • A custom text editor built with Slate
  • Real-time UI using GraphQL subscriptions over websockets
  • A consolidated, collaborative inbox for emails, text messages and phone calls

If that sounds cool, you’re in luck, because we’re looking for talented, full-stack software engineers to join our team.

About our stack

Our backend is written in Ruby on Rails, with a Typescript React UI that communicates with Rails over GraphQL, using Relay. We use Postgres and Redis for data storage, and Heroku for web hosting.

We don’t care if you aren’t an expert on all this tech right now. This is a full stack role, so we do expect you to become competent with all these tools over time, but what we care most about today is whether you can solve problems independently.

If you have front-end and back-end experience, and you can find the solution when you face a problem in a tech stack you’re unfamiliar with, we want to talk to you.

What it’s like to work here

  • You’ll work on a little of everything, from databases to user interfaces and everything in between, in a wide variety of product areas.
  • You’ll own the delivery of high-impact projects that affect real customers, from start to finish, with no bureaucracy, following the Shape Up method
  • You’ll collaborate within a small, highly productive team, reviewing code and helping other engineers with their roadblocks.
  • You’ll have time to focus. We don’t micromanage, and we do our best to keep distractions (and meetings) to a minimum.
  • When assigned to on-call duty, you’ll triage, investigate and fix bugs
  • You’ll deploy early and often. We ship to production multiple times per day.

Perks for the team

  • Monthly Friday Free Day
  • Company Holidays
  • Quarterly Two-Week Hackathons
  • 3 Weeks Paid Time Off (in addition to the above)
  • Monthly Healthcare Allowance
  • Yearly Vacation Allowance
  • Focused and dedicated environment with smart, caring people
  • Location independence
  • Consistent, but flexible working schedule with 3hr Pacific Time Zone overlap
  • Mission driven, non-political company and values-based culture

How we hire

We highly value seeing your past work. If you have side projects to show, it’s a big plus. If you don’t have projects to share, we’ll ask you to take a coding test to get a sense for where you’re at. At a high level, our hiring process looks like this:

  • Send us your application!
  • We will ask you to send us some side projects or do a coding test
  • 30min screening interview to meet and get to know you
  • 90min interview with our head of engineering, focused on your working history and your side projects
  • Negotiations & offer
  • If you accept, you enter a 90-day trial period, fully paid.
  • If all goes well, you convert to a full-time team member!

Please apply if you…

  • Learn fast and proactively seek your own solutions
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-impact environment
  • Communicate crisply and clearly in English
  • Bring an optimistic “can do” attitude
  • Supply your own internet and smartphone
  • Have B2B SaaS experience (preferred)

⚠️ Important ⚠️: although this is a fully remote role, we only accept candidates that are within 2 hours of CET (Central European Timezone). Applying outside of that is a waste of your (and our) time. \n\nPrezly is looking for a senior react/typescript/frontend developer to boost our capacity in creating a world with more meaningful communication between organisations and people. Working closely with a product designer, the founders and builders to craft high-quality, impactful, and inclusive user experiences for communication experts all around the world.\n\nAbout Prezly\n\nGood stories, told well to the right people, can inspire and spark positive change in the world. That’s why at Prezly, we’re building state-of-the-art storytelling tools for stellar brands.\n\nSince our founding in 2010, we've grown to become a profitable, 100% globally distributed team of ~16 high-performing, happy people that are dedicated to building a product our customers love.\n\nAbout the technology\n\nOur services are built around a core of an SPA (react/JS/typescript), API's in PHP (symfony) and postgres. On the backend side we use a Symfony fork (https://github.com/e1himself/symfony1), Propel (http://propelorm.org/) and interact with a Postgres (RDS) database. \n\nWe're big believers in open-source and devops/CI - building, testing, and deploying to any of our environments are as simple as pushing a commit to a git branch. The infrastructure is containerised, built on top of AWS using Kubernetes. For open-source work we encourage our team to share their work with the world and contribute where they can.\n\n\nWe're a technology company first: This means that in addition to product and business development plans, we put emphasis on continual improvement of our stack and infrastructure. Current projects include API'ing our full application suite and removing redux. \n\nAbout the role\n\nWe are looking for a frontend engineer with deep understanding of Typescript and React and best practices when it comes to frontend development. \n\nYou should have senior level experience (~5 years) building modern frontend systems, with at least 3 years of that experience using react.\n\nYou will work on a variety of projects, mostly around the core Prezly product. Your work will ship continuously so you will have a direct impact in our customers’ experience and the overall trajectory of the business.\n\nAs our new teammate, you’ll be self-driven and work hard to bring value to your new company in the most effective way possible. You’ll work hard to make those around you better, communicate clearly, and make Prezly a better company.\n\n \n\nBe sure to mention the words **SHERIFF EMBARK LIFT** when applying to show you read the job post completely.
