Weโd never claim to be perfect, but weโre working hard to listen to our people and improve each day. \n\n\nWe really want the people who work at Jane to love being here, so it's important that we start with a bit about what makes our company unique and try to be as transparent as possible. Our values also provide some insights into Jane and hopefully, youโll have a better idea if this might be the kind of company you want to be part of. \n\n\nBefore we were Jane, our Co-Founders were solving problems for their own clinics not realizing that a few years later, this team would grow to support tens of thousands of healthcare practices in more than 60 countries. Our platform is now helping to modernize the world of practice management software. We enable the likes of physiotherapists, mental health counsellors, chiropractors, and other allied health practitioners to run their practices in a digital-first way through features such as online booking, charting, scheduling, telehealth, and billing along with an evolving library of features. You can see more of them here. Although weโve grown, still to this day, weโre rooted in solving clinicsโ problems and making sure we donโt lose sight of Janeโs vision. \n\n\nWe have remained profitable for the past seven years, weโre product-led and growing organically (and responsibly) to the point where 85% of our customer growth is either from customer referrals or word of mouth. Growth like this is unique, especially in the world of SaaS, and it doesnโt happen by chance. We have a brilliant team of over 400 Janers who are doing an amazing job of listening to our customers, building what they need, and providing industry-leading support. We pride ourselves on flexibility & autonomy, some of our team block out their calendars to pick up their children from school (and this is normal at Jane), and we even have a #kids channel in Slack. \n\n\nWeโre not a clock-in clock-out system-type environment. With that being said, weโre not going to paint the picture of a perfect environment either. Weโre a company thatโs scaling quickly, we have many moving parts, many of us are doing this for the first time and sometimes, we donโt have processes in place or clear views which can require a lot of resourcefulness and a passion for problem-solving. \n\n\nWith all that to say, if youโre looking for an environment where you can grow, stretch yourself, and work with some incredibly talented people on problems that are positively impacting people's lives, Jane could be the place for you.\n\n\nCompensation Expectations for the Role\n\n\nJaneโs committed to paying our team members fairly, clearly, and above all, paying for growth. This role has a minimum annual salary of $175,600 and a maximum annual salary of $285,400. As you may have noticed, this salary range is quite large, and this is intentional to account for the growth someone will experience in the role throughout their time at Jane (i.e., from building the skills, to accomplished, to highly proficient, all the way to achieving excellence in the role). When hiring talented folks to join the Jane team, weโve found that new team members are best set up for success when hired with the expectation of being fully accomplished in the role, which for this role would reflect a salary between $208,600 to $219,500. It's also possible to join Jane at a salary above or below this, which would mean a salary below $208,600 typically reflects someone who has all the potential to be fully accomplished in the role but doesn't yet possess all the skills required, while a salary above $219,500 is typically for individuals who are currently in this role at Jane and had the opportunity to make a significant positive impact on our customers, product and company with deep Jane knowledge. At Jane, we pay for growth, which means that youโll continue to have conversations about your career development with your manager and see your compensation grow over time as you build an amazing career with us.\n\n\nMore information on Jane's benefits package can be found here \n\n\n\nThe impact you could haveโฆ \n* You'll own the company-wide business intelligence strategy, bringing coherence to data sources and addressing challenges in accuracy, accessibility, and visualization, laying the foundation for informed decision-making.\n* Drive the creation of a data-centric culture within our high-growth environment, influencing teams across Dev, Product, Marketing, and Support to prioritize data-informed decision-making and fostering a company-wide appreciation of business intelligence.\n* Take charge of transforming our existing analytics pipeline, ensuring its efficiency and reliability. Implement new visualization tools to enhance accessibility and usability, empowering teams to derive meaningful insights from data for improved operational efficiency.\n* Help implement and enhance data governance policies and practices in collaboration with the Privacy & Security team, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with regulations.\n* Mentor and guide the business intelligence team, instilling a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, driving the development of technical expertise within the team and facilitating their growth.\n* We still feel there's a huge opportunity to uncover insights across Jane that we haven't explored yet!\n\n\n\nThe experience we feel we needโฆ\n* Seasoned Leadership in BI: Bring a wealth of experience, with at least a decade in Business Intelligence with proven leadership in a SaaS or technology company, would be great.\n* Strategic Scaling: Demonstrate the ability to balance diverse requirements and objectives across the organization. Scale BI/engineering tooling thoughtfully and with a values-driven approach.\n* Technical Experience: Showcase strong technical prowess, especially in BI tools like Snowflake, Looker, Fivetran, and Census.\n* Effective Communicator and Relationship Builder: Build trust through proactive and transparent communication. Strengthen relationships as a key element of leadership.\n* Decision-Making Pro: Showcase negotiation skills and the ability to prioritize and make trade-off decisions, all while keeping the customer at the forefront.\n* Data Strategy Visionary: Offer a robust perspective on the best strategies for data modelling, data warehousing, and ETL processes at Jane.\n* Passionate Mentor: Demonstrate a passion for mentorship and a track record of fostering a culture of data-informed decision-making.\n* Process Improvement Champion: Bring a passion for improving processes and leveraging technology to enhance the efficiency of the BI team.\n\n\n\n\n\nAt Jane, weโre committed to fostering an environment that allows you to come to work as your truest self. We believe itโs important to actively recognize, embrace, and celebrate our differences in order to make Jane an inclusive, equitable, and diverse workplace. \n\n\nWe want to build a team of people who make conversations rich with perspective and experience. We are committed to listening to every voice in order to learn and grow because doing this will allow us to meet the needs of the diverse community of helpers that Jane serves. \n\n\nWe do not tolerate discrimination, prejudice, or oppressive isms of any kind. Employment is decided on the basis of qualifications, merit, experience, and the needs of the Jane community. We encourage anyone who requires accommodation or adjustments throughout the interview process to let us know, and we will do our best to support you. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n

๐ Please reference you found the job on Remote OK, this helps us get more companies to post here, thanks!
When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy equipment which they then pay you back for later. Also never pay for trainings you have to do. Those are scams! NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Posts that link to pages with "how to work online" are also scams. Don't use them or pay for them. Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. A good idea is to check the domain name for the site/email and see if it's the actual company's main domain name. Scams in remote work are rampant, be careful! Read more to avoid scams. When clicking on the button to apply above, you will leave Remote OK and go to the job application page for that company outside this site. Gymdesk provides modern, online management software to gyms, martial arts schools, yoga studios and other fitness and wellness businesses. In an industry dominated by outdated and cumbersome products, we provide the superior user experience people expect in 2023.
We are looking for a PHP developer with mobile / Flutter development experience, to join our team and help us continue to improve our web and mobile apps.
You should love managing complexity in elegant ways, and creating beautiful user interfaces that hide that complexity in the backend. The product is mature, but is constantly evolving / adapting based on new use-cases and user feedback.
About the role:
You will be joining a small but effective team, as our 5th dev team member. You'll receive training on the stack, platform and flows within the software. Gym management might not sound complicated, however there is a lot of complexity hidden behind our shiny UI, as we account for many different use-case that you likely have never considered as part of running a gym. Regardless of your past experience, we believe this will be a worthy challenge.
About the team:
Gymdesk is a small and effective team (currently 12 people). We don't have office politics and try to minimize the amount of interruptions you will have to deal with. We are a remote team that communicates mostly through slack and video chats as needed. We use Github to manage our repos, tickets and sprints.
Requirements:
3+ years of demonstrated professional experience with the PHP stack (language, frameworks, open-source libraries, web servers)
A growth mindset. You want to challenge yourself to grow as a developer and individual contributor and take on new responsibilities and acquire new skills.
Solid experience with web technologies including HTML5, CSS, vanilla Javascript and jQuery
1+ years of mobile development experience, especially cross-platform development with Flutter
Good understanding of user experience and flows
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Availability during 9am-5pm in CST (give or take +/- 2 hours). Please only apply if you are able to work during those hours
And most importantly, a natural ability to get stuff done
Compensation:
This is a full-time, 40-hour a week role
Annual salary of $80k-$110k depending on skills, seniority and location
Health and dental reimbursement plan (pick your own insurance) for US based employees
20 PTO days a year, in additional to national holidays
Home office improvement budget
If youโre excited about creating software that looks beautiful on the front end and elegant on the back end, give us a shot. Weโll do our best to make the interview experience fast, enjoyable, and mentally stimulating.
If we donโt get a chance to speak with you, thank you so much for your interest, and hopefully there will be a better opportunity down the line.
