Close is hiring a Remote Front End Engineering Manager
About Us
At Close, we're building the sales communication platform of the future. With our roots as the very first sales CRM to include built-in calling, we're leading the industry toward eliminating manual processes and helping companies to close more deals (faster). Since our founding in 2013, we've grown to become a profitable, 100% globally distributed team of ~55 high-performing, happy people that are dedicated to building a product our customers love.
Our app’s frontend is a single-page JavaScript web app mostly written in React (originally built with Backbone.js). We bundle with Webpack and target only modern browsers. We test with Jest and React Testing Library. Our UI updates in near real-time and is written in LESS/CSS (with flexbox and grid layout) using CSS modules and takes advantage of fun technologies like Websockets and WebRTC.
We care about performance (e.g. route-based code splitting), maintainability, and testability of our frontend code. We sweat the UI/UX details and work collaboratively with the Product team throughout the design process. This means diving into lo-fi wireframes, and communicating continuously when those ideas are brought to life using Figma and code.
Our frontend app is built on top of our REST API & GraphQL endpoints. Our backend tech stack consists of Python/Flask, MongoDB, Postgres, Elasticsearch, and Redis. We run our services in Docker on AWS.
We're looking for an experienced full-time Frontend Engineering Manager to join our engineering team. You should be an empathetic leader, have spent part of your career as a senior-level engineer, and want to help build & grow a team of high-performing engineers.
You should have senior-level (4 years+) experience building modern frontend applications, preferably using React or similar framework.
You should have significant experience (2 years+) leading and growing a team of engineers. You enjoy helping engineers thrive and grow in their roles. You should have a very good idea of how to run 1:1s with your direct reports and how to form strong relationships. You should be comfortable with giving continuous feedback and doing performance reviews. You are expected to grow the team as-needed and help lead a hiring process.
You have a track record of managing engineering teams that delivered great products and features. You should be very comfortable working with the Product and Design teams to formulate product ideas, skilled at writing & reviewing technical specifications, and planning work for your team. You can take on non-critical path technical work if time allows.
You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a medium-sized talented team where you're supported in your efforts to grow professionally. You are able to manage your time well, communicate effectively, and collaborate in a fully distributed team.
You are located in an American time zone.
Bonus points if you have...
Experience practicing the Shape Up product development methodology
Experience scaling a small engineering team into a few teams
Experience building JS-based mobile apps
Built B2B SaaS products
Experience with sales or sales tools
About the Role
Manage and grow a team of 4-8 high-performing engineers, support them through 1:1s and continuous feedback, and support their career growth.
A mix of team leadership, people management, product ideation, project coordination, and maximum 10% of your time spent on non-critical path IC work.
Work with a team of mostly-senior engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver great features.
Manage and optimize development processes as the team grows.
Participate in creating a long-term frontend strategy.
At Close, everyone has a voice. We encourage transparency and practice a mature approach to the work-place. In general, we don’t have strict policies, we have guidelines. Work/life harmony is an important part of our business - we believe you bring your best to work when you practice self-care (whatever that looks like for you).
We come from 16 countries located in 5 of the 7 continents -- looking at you Antarctica and Australia ;-) ….. We’re a collection of talented humans rich in diverse backgrounds, lifestyles, and cultures. Every year we meet up somewhere around the world to spend time with one another. These gatherings are an opportunity to strengthen the social fiber of our global community.
Our team is growing in more ways than one - we’ve recently launched 17 babies (and counting!). Unanimously, our favorite and most impactful value is “Build a house you want to live in.” We strive to make decisions that are authentic for our people and help our customers become more successful.
Our application process was designed to promote equitable and unbiased hiring practices. We ask a small series of questions that are similar to what would be asked in the first interview. This helps us learn more about you right from the start so please be sure to answer each question thoughtfully. Each application will receive two screens by two different reviewers. Regardless of fit, you will hear back from us letting you know if we'll be moving forward.

PartnerSlate is hiring a Remote Senior Product Engineer
We're looking for experienced product engineers based in the Americas to join our 100% remote team.
At PartnerSlate we’re building a B2B SaaS product in the food manufacturing space. We’re an early-stage startup that has found product-market fit and are now scaling up our product engineering team.
What’s exciting about this opportunity
A fully remote company from the start
An early-stage startup led by industry veterans - fun and growth without chaos and drama
Interesting product challenges, bringing the food manufacturing industry into the 21st century
A focus on sustainable pace, strong engineering practices, and boring technology in service of product delivery
An engineering culture centered around empathy, quality, and pragmatism
The role
We’re looking for experienced full-stack engineers working remotely in GMT-8 (Pacific) to GMT-5 (East Coast) time zones. We're hiring for a range of levels, from senior engineer through to staff/architect.
You’ll work in a small, nimble product team that's focused on rapidly building out features in Django/python and React/typescript. To do this we use practices like kanban, user story mapping, daily deploys, and regular retros. We value collaboration, sustainable pace, and a low-ceremony, low-drama environment.
We believe in pragmatic, straightforward architecture that let us spend more time solving our customer’s problems. Our current tech stack consists of a react/redux/typescript frontend talking to a django backend using a postgres database.
We have just enough process to let us focus on building software. A brief standup every day and a kanban board with a handful of swim lanes. No story estimation or endless sprint planning meetings, just small stories that get deployed to production once they’re complete.
We empower you to do your best work. You’ll get a $4k equipment budget, and a $1k/year professional development budget. As an early-stage startup, PartnerSlate provides a lot of opportunities for growth, and we’re excited to support you in that journey!
The company
PartnerSlate is an ambitious well-funded (pre-series A) startup, with a leadership team that has led multiple companies to successful exits. We’ve got traction with thousands of brands, large and small. And we’re laser-focused on delivering an indispensable service for our customers.
We’ve assembled a diverse all-star team of passionate, thoughtful, humble, and action-oriented individuals, led by CEO Vince Tseng, who previously helped start SquareTrade and built it into a $1B revenue company (raised $250M; $1.4B acquisition in 2017).
You’ll report to our CTO Pete Hodgson, a ThoughtWorks veteran who has helped start and scale engineering teams at multiple unicorns, including Doma, Auth0, and GoodRx.
This is not our first rodeo. We understand that innovation and moving fast doesn’t necessarily equate to chaos. Discipline and drive to achieve doesn’t mean unsustainable burnout. As part of the early team, you’ll help shape the culture of the company, centered around intellectual curiosity, pragmatic action, and collaborative attitudes.
As a fully-remote company, we understand the benefits of remote work, but are also aware of the drawbacks. We have regular in-person get-togethers once or twice a year, both to collaborate on work and to bond as humans. We offer a $4,000 equipment budget to help you create an effective work environment.
We also care about making the world a better place! As an industry, food is one of the areas where we can help create a more sustainable future for the world. Partnerslate and its lead investor are both actively looking at B Corp certification.
As part of this, our vision for our workplace is clear: we will be a place where a diverse mix of talented people want to come, stay and do their best work. Diversity, equity and inclusion are fundamental to how we think about growing our team and working together as one. We are creating a respectful environment where we can learn from and celebrate each others’ differences.

Close is hiring a Remote Backend Engineering Manager
ABOUT US
At Close, we're building the sales communication platform of the future. With our roots as the very first sales CRM to include built-in calling, we're leading the industry toward eliminating manual processes and helping companies to close more deals (faster). Since our founding in 2013, we've grown to become a profitable, 100% globally distributed team of 50+ high-performing, happy people that are dedicated to building a product our customers love.
Our backend tech stack currently consists primarily of Python Flask web apps with our TaskTiger scheduler handling many of the backend asynchronous task processing chores. Our data stores include MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and Redis. The underlying infrastructure runs on AWS using a combination of managed services like EKS, MSK, RDS and ElasticCache and non-managed services running on EC2 instances. All of our compute runs through CI/CD pipelines that build Docker images, run automated tests and deploy to our Kubernetes clusters. Our backend primarily serves a well-documented public API that our front-end JavaScript app consumes. Our infrastructure is heavily automated using AWS tools, Terraform, and Ansible.
We're looking for a full-time Engineering Manager to join our core Product & Engineering Team who has significant experience building, managing, and monitoring backend services at scale. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a medium-sized, talented team where you're supported in your efforts to grow professionally. You are able to manage your time well, communicate effectively, and collaborate in a fully distributed team.
Your team will split its time working on a combination of (a) general backend projects to improve our product, and (b) specific focus areas assigned to your team.
Areas of focus...
Data storage systems including traditional SQL and NoSQL databases as well as advanced indexing/searching technologies (Mongo, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch)
Reporting and Business Intelligence systems (custom implementations using Elasticsearch plugins, SQL window functions and other analytical techniques)
Messaging and queuing systems (Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL)
Manage and grow a team of 4-8 mostly senior Python software engineers, support them through 1:1s and continuous feedback, and support their career growth.
Help manage our software development cycles by supporting prioritizing, speccing, and building features (our process is loosely based on Shape Up).
Work with other Close teams to communicate changes, gather requirements, and maintain open communication across our organization.
Develop a roadmap for their team’s focus areas and set goals to work towards that plan.
Help tune our engineering processes to allow us to scale and continue shipping high quality software.
Promote delegating responsibilities across their team and sharing knowledge whenever possible (check out our engineering blog for examples of sharing).
Help maintain our public and private GitHub repos by managing issues and projects to categorize, prioritize, and plan future work.
This position is primarily a management role but the candidate should be comfortable with coding efforts like PR reviews, bug fixes, and other coding activities outside of critical path development efforts.
You should...
Have 2+ years leading a software engineering team.
Have 4+ years of senior software engineering experience (Python preferred but not required).
Have a strong interest and ideally significant experience in backend technologies like databases, async job processing, messaging systems, indexing/search systems, web frameworks, etc.
Be detail-oriented, organized, and great at oral/written communication.
Be self-motivated and comfortable with responsibility.
Be growth minded and want to help improve our processes, scale teams, and take other actions that significantly improve our productivity and quality.
Be located in the Americas or in a European/African time zone. We have regular Zoom meetings with team members throughout these time zones.
All applications are reviewed internally by one of our team members; a qualified application undergoes a second review by the hiring manager to determine whether a call is scheduled. Regardless of fit, you will hear back from us letting you know if we'll be moving forward.

RDX Works is hiring a Remote Senior Software Development Engineer Test
Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)
As an SDET at Radix, you will apply your boundless cunning to break distributed systems in new and interesting ways. You will study and emulate known attacks, and then concoct some new ones. You will make sure that happy path scenarios function as advertised, and that a massive array of potential error conditions all fail gracefully, predictably, and in a recoverable fashion.
During your first few months, your focus will be on creating automated tests verifying predictable pre- and post-conditions against a distributed, trustless system while coming up to speed on how the network operates and where the limitations are. With that understanding under your belt, you’ll start in on chaos testing and acting as a knowledgeable, malicious actor on our test networks.
Of course, you’ll also be contributing to test plans, highlighting gaps in coverage, creating regression tests to ensure fixed bugs stay fixed, and all the usual responsibilities of a test role. You’ll just have more fun doing those things, because we only hire fun and interesting people to work with. Your brain will bend in ways it wasn’t meant to be bent, you will form lifelong bonds with a team of incredible people, and you will forever remember the journey.
About You
Whenever you look at a specification or an API, your mind goes straight to the edge cases.
You’re a flexible coder and are confident in your ability to learn “enough to be dangerous” if you need to pick up a new language or tool.
If asked about a familiar product or system, you have no trouble describing the various sub-systems that contribute to its overall function.
You don’t get easily frustrated when trying to nail down difficult-to-reproduce issues. You are able to methodically narrow a bug investigation down to the critical elements.
You’re intelligent and you pick up new concepts quickly. A lot of what we do here is rolling back the boundaries of known space, and there’s no playbook to refer to.
What skills do you need?
At least 3 years in a quality assurance or development role for production software.
Experience building test automation frameworks. Can write such code from scratch.
Can integrate tests in CI, e.g., Jenkins.
Experience with load testing.
Familiarity with JVM languages, JavaScript, or Python.
Understanding or experience with BDD, TDD, or contract testing.
Docker and AWS experience is important.
Nice to have - experience with distributed systems.
About Us
At Radix, we're a team of like-minded thinkers who have long been convinced that we're living in the earliest stages of a global financial revolution. This revolution is being fuelled by decentralized finance (or DeFi for short), which is enabling an assortment of pioneering developers and entrepreneurs to re-invent almost every financial product that is currently traded and invested in traditional markets, without requiring central authorities or siloed infrastructure. DeFi has captured a great deal of attention and investment in the crypto-aware niche, growing assets under management to $90 billion in the last year. Impressive as its growth has been, its current market size isn't even a rounding error on the over $111 trillion held in traditional finance. We're focused on what it will take to go from billions to trillions.
Radix went back to first principles to come up with the right technical solution—the first layer-one protocol built specifically for mainstream DeFi—and we have already tested out at over 1 million transactions per second. We're keenly aware that the need for an infinitely scalable platform is only one prerequisite among many for mass adoption, and we're also blazing new ground in the areas of purpose-built developer tools, user experiences, and regulatory integration.
We have forged a path deep into the future of what distributed ledger technology is going to look like and we need you to come and be part of the team that is making that happen right now.
If this job sounds like it was made for you, then please apply directly or email [email protected] for more information.
Alternatively, if you feel like you don’t match all of the requirements, we would love you to still apply anyway. We understand that confidence gaps and imposter syndrome can get in the way of meeting incredible candidates and we wouldn’t want this to prevent us from meeting you; especially as we are big advocates of helping people learn & grow. This is also another reason we do not advertise salaries, we want to keep it as even a playing field as possible!

Third Iron is hiring a Remote Senior Full Stack Software Engineer
Do you want to develop software that helps scientists, doctors, historians, and all other kinds of researchers discover breakthroughs? Join our small, fully-remote software development team to build software that connects scholars of all disciplines with the peer-reviewed journal articles they need to advance their research.
Since our remote-first company's founding in 2011, Third Iron has created the industry-leading software services BrowZine and LibKey. Our users include millions of students, doctors, industry researchers, and scientists affiliated with over 1,300 libraries at universities, hospitals, corporations, and government departments across 36 countries including places like Stanford University, NASA, Mayo Clinic, NHS England, and University of Hong Kong.
In a refreshing change from advertising-dependent tech companies or those who sell user data, we instead have a business-to-business model. We sell our subscription-based services to libraries that may be used by anyone affiliated with them. We do not sell user data. Our focus is on building the best software to enable research that changes the world.
Your Role
As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, you will help with all aspects of the development lifecycle: initial architectural approaches, coding the automated tests and implementation, and reviewing changes with your teammates. Our product owners have a deep understanding of our customer needs and wants. The dev team collaborates with them closely to help get clear guidance and ensure what we build has maximum positive impact to our users in the world of libraries and peer-reviewed research journals.
Our remote-first company has been building software for over 11 years in a fully-distributed manner, so you’ll be joining a team with plenty of experience putting into practice what works well remotely, and avoiding what doesn’t. We try to build our products with an eye on the long term, since the new features and products we build are typically maintained by us for years into the future.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to our Third Iron tools and backend systems, written primarily in Node.js and Postgres, and used by our operations team to manage large amounts of data from over 1,300 library customers
Help shape and build our APIs, used both internally and by third parties, written in Node.js and adopting many concepts from JSON API 1.0
Increase your experience and knowledge of Node.js, Postgresql, Elasticsearch, CouchDB, continuous integration, and load testing. Learn about all the tools we use at our StackShare
Optimize and help scale our Heroku and AWS cloud-based systems as our customer base grows to maintain solid performance for all users
Opportunities to assist with our web app clients, BrowZine and LibKey, that are built with Ember, and our browser extension LibKey Nomad, built with React
What We’re Looking For
SQL experience; we use Postgres to store the majority of our data, and maintaining very fast APIs and internal processes is important to us. Bonus if you have NoSQL experience, such as ElasticSearch or CouchDB
NodeJS and JavaScript interest and experience
Strong communication skills – since we are a remote team, clear, timely, and frequent communication is essential
Experience writing automated tests alongside your code – we rely on numerous automated tests to help avoid regressions, both at the acceptance and unit level
Source control expertise, ideally git
Self-motivation and comfort working independently, which we've found is important for remote working
Interest in lifelong learning, including learning new technologies. We embrace the tools and techniques that help us build great software which lets us sleep soundly at night, with high confidence that our users are having a delightful experience and our servers are not catching fire
People with U.S. work authorizations. (We are looking for a full-time developer to join our team, so please, no software development firms looking to hire out contractors - we're interested in talking directly to software developers)
Working at Third Iron
Third Iron is a small company of 25 employees, and our growth and success have been fueled by the passionate, curious people who work here. We value input and feedback while looking to minimize the interruptions of meetings, report writing, and internal emails.
Understanding that work is just part of your life, Third Iron also provides benefits including health, dental, long-term disability, paid time-off, home-office stipend, and more. It's why most employees who work at Third Iron spend many years of their careers here. You could, too!

Float is the world’s leading software for teams to plan their time and, behind it, is a world-class team looking for an experienced Front-End Lead to join us. From New York to the UK, Canada to South Africa—our Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams work asynchronously, helping brands such as Airbnb, Buzzfeed, and Ogilvy plan and manage their time better. Float is self-funded, profitable, and growing. If you’re a go-getter, align with our values, and are looking to join a team that’s passionate about helping others work and live more productively, we want to hear from you. Here are a few tips from our CEO to make sure your resume stands out from the crowd.
Why We’re Hiring For This Role
As a Front-End Engineering Lead, you’ll use your extensive knowledge of JavaScript fundamentals and comprehensive React-based SPA development experience to own Float’s front-end platform: a simple and intuitive interface relied upon internationally by top-tier agencies and teams to plan, schedule and track their projects. You’ll use your skills and expertise to overcome complex engineering challenges that go beyond routine state management.
You enjoy building data-intensive applications and want to push the boundaries of what component-based declarative front-ends can do. You particularly appreciate how such an approach can facilitate real-time collaborative user experiences. If that sounds like you, Float invites you on a journey full of challenges, fun, and gratification. You will own delivering highly performant, delightful, and consistent user experiences across web and mobile platforms.
We’re looking for an exceptional engineer to take our front-end to the next level. You’ll be leading by example, planning a roadmap, and preparing the necessary foundational work to ensure that the Float application continues to be best-in-class.
Our Director of Engineering, Colin Ross, explains the important role you will play within our Engineering team. Watch this video.
You’ll be working with senior front-end engineers to ensure that changes proposed for our web application are suitable both for the customer as well as the long-term health of our product and Float itself. You will monitor the impact of deployed changes to maintain the high standards of our product, following up as required and striving to be ahead of any uncovered trends.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
As a Front-End Lead, you will be a senior member of the Engineering Department, reporting to the Director of Engineering. You’ll be responsible for the overall direction and execution of Float’s front-end platform strategy, including:
the future of our front-end architecture
core libraries and components as part of our Design System
collaborating closely with Product, Design, Mobile Engineers, and QA to specify, conceptualize, build, test, deploy, and monitor new features
working with other senior engineers (including Performance Engineers) to set our app’s performance benchmarks, ensure they are maintained, and improved upon over time
adopt common patterns for data access, state management, and code organization across all of Float’s front-end platform
continuous integration and deployment of all front-end code across various environments
reviewing and supporting front-end technical designs across feature teams
participating in design discussions and roadmap planning to ensure front-end concerns are well represented
maintaining and upgrading frameworks and tools for a great developer experience
You’ll be joining a group of seasoned engineers who can work independently and don’t require day-to-day management. Rather, you will bring your skills to focus on the longer term and the bigger picture, sweating the details as necessary to be confident we have a platform on which we can build for years to come.
Some example projects you might spearhead include:
expanding the roll-out of TypeScript
putting together code quality guidelines, and enforcing those programmatically and via code reviews
mentoring our front-end team to be stronger engineers, and assisting with hiring additional team members
What You’ll Need To Be Successful
You’ll have spent a number of years working on web applications in a senior role and have a deep familiarity with the front-end ecosystem: including build systems, multiple frameworks as well as different styles of front-end development.
You will be expected to quickly become fluent with the majority of our existing tech stack which comprises:
React
Redux, for global state management
Reselect, for derived state management
Jest, for all things testing
Yarn workspaces for seamless private package management in a monorepo
React-spring & more, for intricate and performant visual interactions
Exhaustive virtualization using open-source as well as in-house proprietary components that make rendering hundreds of thousands of data points a breeze
WebSocket for real-time updates
CSS-in-JS (currently styled-components)
TypeScript (currently in gradual adaptation phase)
And several other tools like Babel, WebPack, Puppeteer, Storybook etc.
Experience with the following would be a big plus.
Local-first software - not just PWAs but fully-fledged offline capable web apps using CRDTs, IndexedDB etc.
React-native or other native mobile app development platforms
Working with distributed systems, event-based architectures at scale
You’re not a tyrant and are willing to be flexible as the situation dictates, acknowledging the value of consensus while recognising the benefits of having a clear vision.
Ultimately, you get more satisfaction from making a detailed plan and assessing the final deliverable than from necessarily doing the work yourself. You are looking to take on a role with high autonomy and corresponding responsibility in order to have a genuine impact on the Float team and our customers by means of your vision and strategy.
As a fully remote team, we’re looking for someone comfortable with asynchronous communication as the default, which means you have previous remote experience and are comfortable using tools like Slack, Loom, and Asana to communicate as needed. Don’t worry—you will have significant deep work time since we have very few meetings.
Why Join Us
We’re a global company with a diverse team of folks from all over the world who share a common belief in living our best work life. That includes a flexible asynchronous policy that allows you to work whenever you work best, minimal meetings, annual team meetups, and perks and benefits that support your personal health and well-being.

RDX Works is hiring a Remote Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer
What is the job?
As a QA Automation engineer, you will challenge all user scenarios and test cases to investigate all possibilities of failure across a range of Web apps, and API applications. You will make sure that happy path scenarios function as advertised, and that a massive array of potential error conditions all fail gracefully, predictably and in a meaningful way to end users.
During your first few months, you will start by defining the tools and frameworks required to have a complete suite of automated tests. This will involve diving into the applications features and functionality, rolling up your sleeves doing manual testing. With a better understanding under your belt, you will define test plans that can be automated and cover UI and API testing, as well as testing failures in any of the subsystems, including databases, third-party services or other internal services.
Of course, you’ll also be contributing to test plans, highlighting gaps in coverage, creating regression tests to ensure fixed bugs stay fixed, and all the usual responsibilities of a test role. You’ll just have more fun doing those things because we only hire fun and interesting people to work with.
What are we looking for?
You enjoy automating everything, the thought of repeating tasks manually makes you shiver, but you understand the need to do exploratory manual testing to create test plans.
You have experience testing Web apps, APIs applications in a fast delivering growth environment
You are a hands-on, independent product tester with experience working in a multidisciplinary team formed of designers, Front and Backend developers and DevOps.
You’re patient when dealing with others. You’re a good listener, and happy to be a teacher when needed
You are proud of what you are doing and show it by publishing wonderful reports for project team visibility
As a bonus, you have worked in a startup where you started as the only QA Engineer. Extra points if you help to grow the QA team
What skills do you need?
Solid demonstrable experience (ideally 3+ years)
Demonstrated a track record in covering end-to-end testing by leveraging multiple components for business critical products
Experience with functional and black-box testing, regression testing, system integration testing, load testing, manual testing
Experience with applications written in C# and React.js
Familiar with agile processes
Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language such as Python, C#, Java or JavaScript
Experience with BDD, TDD, or contract testing.
Docker and AWS experience is important.
Experience with Linux/Windows, Docker, AWS, GIT
Good knowledge and understanding of CI/CD cycles and integration test automation with CI/CD
Nice to have - experience in Financial Services
Some knowledge of DeFi is a plus, a willingness to learn is welcomed
Who are we?
At RDX Works, we’re a team of like-minded thinkers who have long been convinced that we’re living in the earliest stages of a global financial revolution. This revolution is being fuelled by decentralized finance (or DeFi for short), which is enabling an assortment of pioneering developers and entrepreneurs to re-invent almost every financial product that is currently traded and invested in traditional markets, without requiring central authorities or siloed infrastructure. DeFi has captured a great deal of attention and investment in the crypto-aware niche, growing assets under management from $1 billion to over $200 billion in a few years. Impressive as its growth has been, its current market size isn’t even a rounding error on the over $400 trillion held in traditional finance. We’re focused on what it will take to go from billions to trillions.
RDX went back to first principles to come up with the right technical solution—the first layer-one protocol built specifically for mainstream DeFi—and we have already tested out at over 1 million transactions per second. We’re keenly aware that the need for an infinitely scalable platform is only one prerequisite among many for mass adoption, and we’re also blazing new ground in the areas of purpose-built developer tools, user experiences, and regulatory integration.
We have forged a path deep into the future of what distributed ledger technology is going to look like and we need you to come and be part of the team that is making that happen right now.
If this job sounds like it was made for you, then please apply directly via the link or email [email protected] for more information.

We're focussed on doing great work and letting you do just that. We're distributed (European timezones only), do almost everything async and are super flexible about when we work (we're all parents of young kids so you can probably find us on the playground whenever we're not working).
We'll offer a competitive salary in the range of €80 – 120k plus stock options.
We set out to build a company that helps teams make the most of their time. Why? Because time is the most valuable asset we can spend only once. Becoming more aware of the fact that we have limited time is one of our key beliefs. And, not coincidentally, the central point in Rick’s bestselling book.
Overview
The Rise web app is written in TypeScript using React and Mobx. It is using websockets to receive real-times updates from the backend. We are looking for a frontend engineer to take the web app to the next level.
What you'll be working on
As an early engineer you'll work on many different aspects of the product. A few examples:
Improvements to our Rise cmd-K Command Center: enable users to quickly navigate and manage their calendars from one uniform component
Work with our backend team to define a scalable and extensible API
Improve the app reliability by applying different types of test coverage (integration, unit, etc)
What our ideal candidate looks like 💅
Extensive experience with Javascript and/or Typescript
Extensive experience with CSS
Extensive experience with React and/or Angular
Cares a lot about high quality, readable, structured code. Advocates best practices and architecture patterns. Is able to make trade-offs between extensibility, optimization and execution speed. Empowers others by reviewing code.
Proficient with different types of testing (integration, unit, stress, etc)
Has a habit of being paranoid about security and privacy (input validation, network encryption, authentication, authorization)
Is autonomous, able to independently pick up tasks and full projects and work through them end-to-end
Is product and user minded: is always focused on how their work will impact or optimize the experience of Rise users
We realize that as a founding team we're from similar backgrounds, that we have unconscious biasses and that we have work to do here. This is why we explicitly want to invite and encourage people from underrepresented groups to apply.

Close is hiring a Remote Senior Staff Front End Engineer React
About Us
At Close, we're building the sales communication platform of the future.
This means diving into lo-fi Freehand wireframes, and communicating continuously when those ideas are brought to life using Figma and code.
Our frontend app is built on top of our REST API & GraphQL endpoints. Our backend tech stack consists of Python/Flask, MongoDB, Postgres, Elasticsearch, and Redis. We run our services in Docker on AWS.
We're looking for an experienced full-time (or part-time) Frontend Software Engineer to join our engineering team. Someone who has a solid understanding of web technologies and wants to help design, implement, and launch major user-facing features.
You should have senior level experience (~5 years) building modern frontend applications in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with at least 3 years of that experience using React.
You should have significant experience designing, debugging, and optimizing frontend applications to make them fast and reliable. You have significant experience with REST APIs and thoroughly understand HTTP requests. You have experience participating in code reviews and providing overall code quality suggestions to help maintain the structure and quality of the codebase.
You should have great product sense and be able to think through user experience issues before diving into the code, and you exhibit a love for great UI.
You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a small and talented team where you're supported in your efforts to grow professionally. You are able to manage your time well, communicate effectively and collaborate in a fully distributed team.
You are located in an Americas time zone. Not in an Americas timezone? Take a look at our other job posting here.
Bonus points if you have...
Experience implementing real-time (e.g. websockets, polling, etc.) web apps
Experience working with GraphQL endpoints
An eye for design and experience with Figma, Sketch, Abstract, Photoshop, or similar
Led small project teams building and launching features
Contributed open source code (core or plugins) for a popular frontend framework such as React, Vue, or Angular
Built B2B SaaS products
Experience with sales or sales tools
Come help us with projects like...
Conceiving, designing, building, and launching new user-facing features
Working with Twilio's API, WebSockets, and WebRTC to improve our calling features
Building user-facing analytics features that provide actionable insights based on sales activity data

You’re naturally drawn to the fate of the products & driven to grow as an engineer rather than to manage people\n\nThe role:\n\nYou are excited by variety (it’s the spice of life!) - In this role, you’ll be:\n\nDeveloping backend features for an app deployable to both web and app stores\nBuilding internal infrastructure/tooling within AWS and GCP\nEnhancing platform security\nKeeping our build times down in automation, deploying and testing\nEnsuring our availability is in the 5 9’s category\nYou’ll be a core part of the engineering team, working on both our main products (Drops, Droplets, Scripts & Visual Dictionary) and internal development challenges with split work between backend feature development and infrastructure challenges.\n\nYou will:\n\nSupport the product team through feature development and bug fixing\nScaling and enhancing security across infrastructure/ops work\nWork with the CTO on the backend technical roadmap, vision and take responsibility for delivering the improvements\nCommunicate effectively with product managers, QA engineers, frontend developers and the marketing team\nAssist in levelling up our engineers through individual talent development pipelines, demos and learning sessions\nBe part of our on-call rota across the engineering team (1 in 5)\n\n\nWhat’d be different here:\n\n\nWe’re a small team. We’re optimising for impact, not for headcount. You’ll be carefully considering any tradeoff that would lead to increased complexity\nWe have robust coding standards and every pull request needs review and approval before it lands in master. We use the rebase workflow and we release a few times a week\nWe’re currently using a single programming language - TypeScript. There are however better placed technology for different jobs which we’d love explore\nOur backend is AWS, deployed multi-region to Lambda and using RDS for our DB. We use Buildkite and Bitrise for our CI\nWe’re using react native on the frontend\nWe’re using Cognito and Firebase for authentication\nWe are BIG on AB testing. We focus on releasing high impact projects and minimise noise\nWe’re doing things in a functional way, concentrating state, minimising side effects and making dependencies explicit. We’re sharing 98%+ of the code between Android, iOS and Web\nOur biggest challenge is (and will remain) managing the complexity of sharing a lot of code between different apps\nRequirements\n\nYou have:\n\nExtensive experience in software/product development within senior roles\nExperience building apps in a functional environment (serverless)\nExperience architecting and developing complex web or mobile apps\nExperience in scaling internal tooling, promoting development best practices and prioritisation (and ensuring delivery) of technical debt\nProject management experience (everyone manages projects at Drops)\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nExperience working in a product growth environment\nDrops values clear, honest communication and transparency. It’s the linchpin of our culture, success and freedom. You’ll be involved in both high and low level decision making and available during European working hours (10AM - 6PM CET).\n\nBenefits\n\n🌍 All the perks of remote working\n👥 An awesomely compact 24 person team\n🧠 Yearly educational allowance\n💪 Fitness allowance\n💻 High-end Apple hardware and ergonomic accessories\n🏖 36 days of holiday per year\n✈️ Quarterly team gathering somewhere in the world (Amsterdam, Iceland, Lisbon and Budapest were previous locations) - Once we can move freely of course \n\nBe sure to mention the word **NICELY** when applying to show you read the job post completely. eSSENTIAL Accessibility Inc. is hiring a Remote Head of Digital Accessibility Development
Creating an inclusive digital world\n\nJoin the team that’s transforming the digital accessibility industry! We support global Enterprise hallmark brands such as Merck, Estée Lauder, Samsung, Macy’s, Marriott & Hootsuite to deliver inclusive and accessible web, mobile, and product experiences through accessibility testing, evaluation and remediation — allowing organizations to enhance the digital experience for people with disabilities, ensuring each digital asset they create complies with accessibility standards, and projects an inclusive and disability-friendly presence. \n\nWe’re very proud to be recognized as a Great Place to Work® (GPTW) and we’re growing! We’ve recently announced $55 million in funding to accelerate our mission to make the digital world accessible.\n \nLearn more about eSSENTIAL Accessibility.\n \nOur Values are Unity, Accountability and Resolve. We look for candidates who exemplify these values and will contribute to our culture of inclusivity with their unique perspectives \n\nThere’s never been a better time to be a part of the accessibility industry, and we’re on a mission to be the primary engine that fuels innovation in this space.\n\nHead of Accessibility Development\n\nLocation: We embrace a remote work environment, in North and South America and Europe today. \n\nYour Work History\n\nAs a leader with vision in the accessibility space, you will have proven your accessibility knowledge and expertise, what feels like, a million times over. You can authoritatively apply WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) to the development of accessible and usable digital experiences, not just to the remediation of accessibility bugs - although there isn’t a digital accessibility issue you haven’t seen and subsequently fixed, again what feels like a million times over. You are engaged, passionately about the intersection of front-end code, user experience, accessibility, and diversity in technology.\nYou will have led many teams over the years, in developing accessible and usable digital experiences, through which you have learned efficiencies and applied them to subsequent development initiatives. To accomplish this aim, you’ve had to influence, guide, and educate peripheral stakeholders about the importance of digital accessibility. You are keen to empower the next generation of developers to do “it” right the first time.\nYou’ve pushed your organization to adopt and truly support an inclusive mentality, which has resulted in a new way of thinking in everything your organization does. You’ve also learned how to work iteratively and collaboratively with the design team, prior to development kicking off, as well as all the way through QA (Quality Assurance) and post-launch. The iteration and collaboration will have contributed to a unified vision of accessible and usable products.\nYou have built extensive connections with the accessibility and developer communities through meetups, community events, conferences, writing articles, and crafting examples, in order to spread the good word to get others passionate about harnessing your thought leadership, and applying it to their work. You are dedicated to accessibility in your personal and professional life - you lead with credibility, living an inclusive lifestyle, fully aware of and humbled by your own diversity, equity, and inclusion failings. You make everyone around you more aware of, thoughtful of, and respectful of disability.\n\nYour Work at eSSENTIAL Accessibility\n\nYou will join a small team of digital accessibility subject matter experts. The team’s focus is understanding how accessibility fits into every nuance of the Software and Product Development Lifecycles, as well as the broader organizational Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts. The team collaborates in applying their accessibility domain expertise to identify gaps, from the program level to the individual level, and they seek ways to fill these gaps through research and experimentation.\nYour role centers on enabling others in crafting accessible digital experiences. You wake up every day asking yourself, “Have I done enough to enable our customers, my communities, and my colleagues?” To all these partners, you are eSSENTIAL Accessibility’s (eA) go-to person for the “why” and “how”, regarding developer centric questions, concerns, and content.\n\nFor our products and services, you will:\n\nDirectly participate in the creation of and have influence over the product strategy and bear responsible for the accessibility outcomes.\nRecommend and communicate, on product features and drive the strategy associated with getting internal and external users to adopt these features in order to build accessibility outcomes.\nDrive the discovery and research roadmap, constantly seeking what are the next areas we should research.\n\nFor our customers and eA community you:\n\nProvide strategic accessibility strategy and advice when needed.\nRegularly perform learning workshops / presentations.\nEnsure the accuracy, depth, and breadth of learning content.\nBuild collateral to support day to day work, including frameworks, working examples, templates, checklists, and articles.\nDrive confidence that we are a team of experts through mentoring and coaching.\n\nFor our communities you:\n\nProvide mentorship on how we can strive to maximize the reach of our content.\nRegularly participate in speaking engagements / events as an industry authority.\nRegularly build thought leadership content regarding standard methodologies and applying accessibility in practice with tools and processes.\nStay up to date with current and new trends in accessibility; disability; diversity, equity and inclusion; technology; the legal landscape; guidelines and standards; industries; and more.\n\neSSENTIALS You Bring To The Table\n\nExtensive knowledge of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and related techniques for web and mobile.\nPractical experience as a developer using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and coding techniques related to WCAG, with a focus on web.\nExperienced in appropriately applying WAI-ARIA, including best practices and patterns.\nProficiency with multiple assistive technologies, including desktop and mobile screen readers.\nProven ability to propose technical solutions for accessibility issues, including code samples.\nProven ability to summarize and explain digital accessibility topics to non-specialists.\nProven ability to coach and train developers.\n\nDesired But Not eSSENTIAL\n\nMinimum 5 years as a developer, engineer, full-time mentor, or Subject Matter Authority passionate about the development of digital accessibility.\nDegree in Computer Science, Engineering, Product Management, Disability Studies, or a related field.\nIAAP CPWA, CPACC or WAS certifications.\nExperience coaching teams in creating iOS, Android, and hybrid native apps.\n\nInterview Process\n\nWe respect your schedule and don’t want to drag out the hiring process.
