SafetyWing (YC W18) is seeking a Candidate experience coordinator to strengtheng our small Recruitment team and ensure a fantastic candidate experience.
We are building a global social safety net, including health and retirement for remote workers worldwide, as a replacement for national welfare systems. If we succeed, we believe this will help ensure freedom and equal opportunity for everyone, and it is one of the more important tasks of our time that no one else is working on.
You’ll support communication with the candidates applying for multiple roles at Safetywing, answer general queries/follow-ups, outreach to the existing talent pipeline, own the feedback process and become a brand ambassador for potential team members.
💻 Your responsibilities will include
Ensure candidates, and hiring team members receive timely, thoughtful and engaging communication throughout the hiring process.
Act as the main point of contact for all the queries coming from the candidates.
Maintain a compliment information flow in our Applicant Tracking System.
Be an evangelist of our culture and mission.
🧪 We are looking for someone who
Has experience in coordinating multiple communication flows, preferably working with geographically distributed teams and across multiple time zones (we are hiring globally).
Has outstanding communication skills
Has natural empathy
Organized, efficient, and proactive with a keen sense of urgency
Able to join our team for 30+ hours per week and work flexible hours depending on your current time zone.

I don't see why anyone would pay for what this startup does. You can easily build this yourself in 2 hours but serverless by double-dipping NextJS, Tailwind, Jest, Gatsby, Enzyme and Webpack on top of Kubernetes in a Docker VM on AWS.
