I’ve just graduated from my software engineering course at Flatiron School in late 2021 where I learned Ruby, Sinatra, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, React and Redux.

I just wrapped up my last week as a fellow at a start-up called Tally Up. They provide data analytical insight for political campaigns and I’m working on making their application more responsive. I’ve learned a little bit about Snowflake, more on utilized Tailwind and suggested to convert their existing Vanilla JS app to React.

The majority of my background is in marketing and sales and first I was torn between studying data analytics and data science since it was only natural to go that route, but I ended up choosing software engineering instead since it was something that I always wanted to learn and is totally out of my comfort zone so I wanted to challenge myself. It does encapsulate data and data managing, so that’s a plus.

My past work experiences were heavily client-facing, be it in person, via phone or email so I’m very comfortable and familiar with that role.
