Dear Future Colleagues

I believe being a part of an organisation means thinking like your colleagues. When conducting root cause analysis of critical IT issues, I always ask myself, how could I explain this to a colleague who might not have a technical background. Systems reach every part of the organisation. When all stakeholders gain a deeper understanding, re-occurring issues can be eliminated, processes refined and teams perform to their full potential.

With over 15 years of IT experience, I have held every position in IT support. I am most proud of having first-hand experience of many aspects of IT life from RDMS, BI, CRM, ERP, EDI, DR, BCP, BAU & UAT and many other acronyms. I know what it is like to wake up at 3am to come onsite for an urgent issue or stay behind after hours to help with an implementation or other critical issues. Being needed for such issues gives me a great sense of importance and job satisfaction.

I have enjoyed all my roles from service desk and testing to production support, DBA and applications support. Having the opportunity to work with many technologies from Sybase, Oracle, SQL Server, Informix, Dynamics, Epicor, SSRS & and Power BI, on different environments such as UNIX and windows. From command line to GUI, implementation to support, I always bring enthusiasm, attention to detail and results-based outcomes to every role. I look forward to what the future holds and other exciting technologies and colleagues it will bring.
