My name is Theodore Mars, and I believe that holistic problem-solving is vital to an organization’s success. In my various roles as an Operations professional, I’ve enjoyed coming through for my stakeholders with proactive planning and an investigative eye for solutions that take all parties into account. I have worked in a variety of industries to develop a diverse skill set; I’m as comfortable mediating inter-departmental disagreements as I am solving mysterious computer issues for a colleague.

My professional career began in San Francisco at nCircle Network Security in 1998, as a Customer Support Engineer. After moving back to New Orleans in 2003, I began exploring my analytical strengths for the Admissions department at Tulane University Hospital via ATS Staffing. After Hurricane Katrina struck my city in 2005, the recovery period led me to a new role as Site Administrator at Festival Productions. After 12 wonderful years in that role, I accepted a position as Operations Manager for Special Education Leader Fellowship (SELF), a small non-profit organization. SELF quickly promoted me to Director of Special Projects, before allowing me to serve as Director of Operations until 2022. Realizing that a remote role worked best for my family, I left SELF to focus on pursuing my next role.

In my personal life, I enjoy my family, woodworking, monarch butterfly husbandry, and LGBTQ+ mentorship. Not always in that exact order.
