Working in the health sector has been an amazing experience for me. I had the opportunity to work as a caregiver. During my time as a caregiver, I was fully committed to the welfare of my clients and also contributed to the team I worked with. I ensured I safeguarded my clients from abuse, neglect, and harm. I also ensured that I assisted them with their ADLs and reported all anomalies to my senior caregiver. I had a good rapport with my clients, which encouraged them to open up to me. I checked their vitals and also administered their medication as prescribed by the doctor. During this period, I also acquired some certifications online. After a few months, I was promoted to the position of senior caregiver with the responsibility of supervising other caregivers who worked with me. As a senior carer, I ensured I visited my clients monthly and also reviewed their daily reports and attended to every complaint from clients and caregivers. I was promoted to the position of training manager in 2023.

Currently, I hold the position of training manager. As a training manager, my job role entails training interns and caregivers before they are assigned to a client's house. I am also responsible for drafting the schedule for the interns and training instructors. I am mandated to visit the clients monthly and send a monthly review report.

My current employer has a core value of protecting vulnerable clients and treating everyone equally, despite their religion, background, or disabilities. Despite the challenge we face in the care industry, where vulnerable adults are being neglected or abused because of their state, as a company, we strive to work with our core values of fair treatment and protecting vulnerable persons. This is the reason our interns and caregivers are properly trained before they are assigned to care for a client. We have obtained positive feedback from our clients and their relatives following the quality training given to our staff. Furthermore, we have successfully trained caregivers presently working in multiple countries abroad and doing well in their respective jobs.
