I am an experienced, bi-lingual NHS-trained Audio typist / Medical Dictation Transcriber, Administrative Support Secretary and Personal Assistant, with expert knowledge of medical terminology, Data Protection Act compliance and Safeguarding Children, record keeping, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and I have extensive Admin and Data Entry experience.

Recently I volunteered my time in acting as a Personal Assistant to a researcher, editing and proofreading his paper on COVID-19 before submission. In addition, I researched and gathered information and contact details and transferred this data into Word documents and Excel spreadsheets which I had created for the purpose. I also assisted with the translation of a free on-line COVID-19 course from English into Afrikaans.

Currently self-employed, working remotely from home, I am well organised and meet all deadlines timeously. Being a “people person, " I have excellent communication skills, a flexible and enthusiastic attitude, good interpersonal skills, the ability to work as part of a team and on my own initiative, and the ability to work under pressure. I am self-motivated and have a proactive approach, am reliable, professional and helpful at all times and have experience working in various on-line and public-facing roles; including hospitals, research, hotels, libraries and recruitment.

I am also an artist and family history researcher and I enjoy editing images for personal use in my art and my family history website.
