I am also an Accountant with a minimum of 5 yearsβ progressive work experience in Finance, Accounting and general administrative procedures and systems with international organizations. I am very proficient in both English and French language (Oral and written).
In my previous role as a Program analyst with Solina center for international development and research (SCIDaR). I provided finance and administrative support on day-to-day basis e.g. I prepared, and analyzed accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to procedural standards. I prepared monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, tracking expenditure against individual projects and for general/administrative costs. Organized administrative and logistical support for meetings, workshops, trainings, conferences in Nigeria, Burkina Faso and Republic of Congo.
I also supported in reviewing, drafting and amending all grants and procurement contracts in
English and French.
Prior to this, I was a regional Finance and Administrative Officer with Creative Associates/West African
Trade and Investment Hub (WATIH) a USAID funded project. In this role, I generated periodic reports
such as grant compliance audit reports, financial compliance reports, monitored monthly budget etc. I
developed and maintained an archive policy for the regional offices based on contractual and legal
requirements; Supported in the planning and implementation of conferences and seminars in countries the
project was been implemented. I ensured that goods and services supplied to support program and
operations teams were cost-effective, used efficiently, and adequately protected against theft and/or misuse.
As a professional accountant with both local and international experience I have worked with multi
disciplinary teams from diverse cultural and ethnic background. These experiences have helped me to
develop a good sense of diplomacy and tactfulness while engaging with colleagues and stakeholders.
