Howdy!

My name is Royal Sebastian Rose. I am currently attending Kent State University for a Master's in Science for User Experience Design in which I have a 4.0 GPA. I previously attended the University of Mount Union for my Bachelor's of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Gender Studies and my graduating GPA was 3.9. I was on the Dean's List for all three years I attended Mount Union. I had previously attended the University of Pittsburgh for one year before moving back home to Ohio and transferring schools.

Additionally, I wrote and presented my Senior Thesis Project at SCHOLAR Day, April 24th, 2018 and won the “Best Paper Award” for Political Science & International Studies Department, 2017-2018 during my career at Mount Union.

I have over 15 years of experience using computers, software, and conducting online research. I previously attended the Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow (ECOT) during my elementary and middle school years, so I got a jump start on integrating technology into my daily life. Because of this, I am very comfortable working with computers and I currently have a WPM of 90-95.

As far as job experience, I have 10 years of customer service experience, including management, food service, retail, and remote technical support. I got an early start to my professional career by getting my first job at 16 years of age and have worked ever since. In a vast majority of these jobs, I was responsible for training new employees, helping with inventory management, and advising scheduling. I also have three months of supervisory experience as a seasonal sales manager for Spencer's.

I have had hundreds of coworkers from varying backgrounds and have always maintained a welcoming but professional attitude regardless of personal differences. I have worked positions where I was alone the for my entire shift (sometimes upwards of 12+ hours) as well jobs with close-knit teams, some as small as three employees total and some as large as 100+. I excel working either alone or in a team.

As for my personal life, I am a huge fan of video games and horror movies. I am an LGBT+ advocate, anti-racist, and disability rights supporters. My ideal position would be for an LGBT+ non-profit organization or a remote position as a junior UX design professional.
