I am a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual, self-regulated and able to work independently as well as within a team. I also have good drafting, formulation and reporting skills. I possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) and proficient in basic computer applications, database management and web-based systems. I am culturally and socially sensitive, able to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners, including grassroots community members, religious and youth organizations, and authorities at different levels with familiarity with tools and approaches of communications for development. I have the ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment and work effectively in a multicultural-diverse team of international and national personnel. Currently, I am a Consultant with United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) as a Stop TB Partnership (STBP) Digital Health Specialist. Here I am tasked with supporting the STBP Digital Health Technology (DHT) Hub in the global and country adoption of evidence-based digital health technologies and their implementation for the development of technology landscapes ensuring that the technology can be utilized to the fullest of their potential for the advancement of the Global Plan to End TB by 2030. I am stationed in Nairobi, Kenya which is a high-TB-burden country. My assignment involves assisting STBP in the development of global practical guidance, training curricula and other implementation tools to facilitate project implementation for specific classes of Radiology digital health technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered Computer-Aided Detection (CAD) software for use with Chest X-ray and Ultraportable Digital X-ray systems. I am tasked with offering country-specific support for their adoption, customization and effective use. I also completed my 8-year assignment as an International United Nations Volunteer Radiographer at United Nations-African Union Hybrid Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) in Sudan in 2021. I hold an Associate of Arts Urban and Global Economic Development from USA and a Bachelorโs Degree in Business Administration from Switzerland. While studying in the USA between 2002 and 2004, I was exposed to several successful community economic development project models such as the United Methodist Church Childrenโs Home in Atlanta Georgia, USA where I learnt much about community mobilization, action planning, and community contracting and monitoring. Other than performing my clinical duties as a Radiographer, my UNV colleagues and I were involved in in planning and implementing Quick Impact Projects (QIPs) within Darfur Central Sector. These are small development projects that are implemented in the field, and have a quick impact to the local community. I have also completed several on-line courses in Project Management from UN Skillport (Professional Project Management (UK): Defining Projects, Essential Project Management Tools, Computer-assisted Project Planning, Building the Project Team, Leading the Successful Project Team, Completing the Project, Project Management Professional Knowledge: Ethics and Professional Knowledge, Stakeholder Interests and Cultural Diversity and Planning a Diversity Initiative ). I also hold Certificates in Academic and Business Writing from The University of California, USA, and DPKO Report Writing Standard Course from UNAMID.
