Q: TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF?
A: I am an American from the Pacific Northwest, in the state of Oregon, my native language is English. I am a 40 year old mother, who is outgoing, and a thoughtful "People Person". Both in social settings and at work I am known for being fair and fun, a โgo-getterโ who is welcoming to new people and training them in a very patient yet thorough way, and since it is best to be a part of the solution then I am usually the one to aid in others settling disagreements. Two things I learned from my family growing up: 1. How to recognize positive things going on and when you do 2. Say it out loud, encouraging words to who the credit is due. They will smile. I enjoy taking the extra mile to engage with customers/clients/patients which will build sustainable relationships through interactive communications. I am a solid believer that "customer is 1st", that staying open-minded is important, and to a customer never say, "I don't know" but rather "I'll go find out for us both!". Truly listening to others is also very important and equally important, is laughter. kindness can take care of more than fighting. With that being said, I am very good at talking to upset folks -with a calm, logical, mindful approach, careful not to patronize, I have even had managers pass along upset customers to me to handle.

Q: MOST CURRENT POSITION?
A: Right now, I am happily in a Customer Service Role that has a good chunk of Dispatcher throughout my day and also a bit of scheduler too. I have been with this company, Home Inspection LLC, since May 2022, working remotely, from my home office. The client we serve is from lots of walks of life, but most are needing their inspection finished within a short timeline. Fulfilling the needs of our clients means we need to work fast and accurately and it is my job to initially ask all the right questions (intake) to prepare the Inspector to be successful with their 1 and hopefully only visit; after the intake is finished, I schedule their Formal home Inspection for a time that meets their deadlines and then go over some โpreparation requestsโ prior to the Inspector arrival. Then after I am off the line with the client, I switch over to dispatching with the team to place the best match for the property. I also dispatch for the Home Inspection team in between clients (sometimes in the middle) when they are lost and a series of other needs. After the accomplished Inspection is completed, it is a part of my job to expedite the documentation over to the client and their awaiting parties and I need them to verify they received everything sent. If they have any feedback for the company or questions or concerns with the inspector about the inspection, I then act as a lesion between the inspector and the client. Lastly, I Archive our Inspections, both electronically and by paper filing. I enjoy this position, unfortunately, they do not offer full-time hours and I am looking for a new position where I am full-time.

Q: WHAT IS YOUR OFFICE LIKE?
A: Located in the US, in the Pacific Northwest, my established home office is in Oregon just outside of Portland. Itโs a quiet and secure office, with no distractions other than the occasional "meow", my office is well-equipped -set up with a new computer, 2 monitors, hard-wired high-speed internet, and a phone landline. I have locking file cabinets and security cameras and live in a low-crime area.

Q: TYPE OF WORK EXPERIENCE?
A: Before my current role, my career experience is centered around customer service/patient care; I was a waitress to start my young career (5 yrs) where I learned all about working hard and then moved on to PR and Marketing while I worked for high-end bottled water (10yrs). In this part of my career, I also worked with distribution companies to get our bottled water line into stores and the laboratories with QC department, PLUS with the Shipping and Receiving department. Despite all the great opportunities with this position I still had an urge to work in the medical field, so next, I worked hard to earn my Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting. Immediately after graduation, I bravely moved my daughter and I to Portland, leaving our hometown, Eugene, Oregon to begin my new Medical Assisting career. Instead, to my surprise, my dream of working in the medical field was not next, but rather, it was an adventure as a teacher! Me?! Yes, as soon as my daughter was in all-day school, I became a teacher and in this new career I was expected to apply my experience in Customer Service all the time. It was the most demanding and intense kind of Customers I had ever encountered -THE parents of my students. It was 8 years that I was Ms. Dawna and left when a set of parents pulled me away to work for them, which is now where I work with the Home Inspection LLC.
****Also, I have experience in the Wine Industry, Seamstress, Finance/Bookkeeping/Accounts/Payroll.
