I have extensively hired for start-ups (including my own), working with founding members attracting leadership/management talent for not so well-known tech start-ups. Often having to balance the strategic/long term talent acquisition (TA) design and efficient immediate hiring.
In my current role I head the Talent Acquisition for IMMO in India, as the first TA member I have had to structure hiring frameworks, candidate experience metrics, stake holder experience metrics, employer branding, SLAs for the TA function and Onboarding. In addition to building the India team across teams like Engineering, Data Science, Product Engineering, People Operations, Talent Acquisition, Finance and Accounts. Initiating and contracting relationships with Job Boards, Agencies, and Universities.
In 2 of the last 3 roles in my career I have been hired from the UK to lead the TA team in India, with remote Managers and was charged with the authority of setting up and running the function. I have managed teams ranging from 3 to 40 people.
