I graduated from the University of Calgary with a chemistry degree in 2011 and went on to work as a lab technician on various contract roles for a few years. I really enjoyed the wet chemistry tests but I also enjoyed working with the data and decided to focus on working with data. I graduated with a certification in data science from Springboard in 2021 and focused on machine learning. I did several volunteer projects focusing on gaining experience in data science. In 2024 I went into an AI residency program with Apziva gaining more hands on experience in machine learning and currently looking for data science and machine learning opportunities.
