For an increasing greater part of my IT career, I have been involved in creating IT solutions for Provincial Government Departments, in the Eastern Cape and managing ICT governance in the public sector, including dealing with IT Audits. In this time I have worked on various software solutions with several provincial government departments in the Eastern Cape Province, and also involved in creating/implementing web-based solutions/projects using both Microsoft technologies (such as .Net platform, MS SQL, SharePoint Online) and Open Source technologies (such as WordPress, PHP, MySql, Linux). In the first part of my IT career I previously worked as a lecturer at the Walter Sisulu University, lecturing on information systems, programming, databases and project management focused subjects. I also spent most of my spare time at that time doing IT consultant work for special projects with other IT companies, like Ingenious IS, focusing on IT solutions for local/district municipalities. I have also completed a publication titled “Implementing Peer-to-peer application to leverage peer’s collective resources” as part of the Bachelor’s Degree project.
