I am a dedicated, results-driven IT Professional with more than 25 years of experience across several different domains.
My career started while studying Computer Science at GVSU in 1994. Connections made while working for GVSU Academic Computing led to a consulting opportunity at the local Keebler bakery. I designed, developed and supported a solution which reduced the scheduling workload from up to thirty-two to less than one person-hours per week.
This experience led to subsequent roles with the Wolverine Leathers Division at Wolverine World Wide, CommonPoint Mortgage, marchFirst, Northrop Grumman IT, Smiths Aerospace (SA), General Electric (GE) and Johnson Controls (JCI).
While at CommonPoint Mortgage, we reduced our outside Network Administration contractor burn by over ninety-five percent under my leadership.
While at marchFirst, I worked on several IT Infrastructure Engineering projects.
After being RIFโd from marchFirst, I was retained by one of their customers to complete their project as marchFirst no longer had the local resources to complete.
While with Northrup Grumman IT at the US DoD, I developed an in-house DHCP log aggregator and other security-related scripts.
While at Smiths Aerospace, I co-developed a solution to migrate more than ten million files and their security from Novell NetWare to an EMC filer and Windows CIFS security with no data loss.
While at GE, I developed a process to sanitize more than twenty thousand CMDB entries to determine the scope of an Opsware Agent deployment. This process collected and correlated data from multiple sources to classify each CMDB entry.
My last nearly thirteen years were at Johnson Controls until I was part of a RIF in October 2023. The first five years were as a contractor and the last seven plus years were as an employee. As a contractor, I worked in SQL Server/ETL Analyst and DevOps Engineer roles. I worked extensively with SSIS and MSSQL in the backend of a SaaS solution. As an employee, I provided life support for legacy SaaS applications (C# development), onboarding tool (C#, MSSQL, PostgreSQL) development, data engineering and L3 support for the OpenBlue Platform. My annual reviews during this time were Meets or Exceeds Expectations.
