My name is Macarena Poncio, I’m from Argentina, and I’ve been living in Copenhagen for over 3 years.

I’m aware that at a first glance my 10+ years of experience in gastronomy might not sound like what one would expect for a front-end position but let me convince you that it makes all the sense. Working as a Chef has taught me that discipline, a good atmosphere and teamwork are key to creating a great product. A chef is a customer-oriented job in which high-quality work must be delivered every day -one learns how to work under pressure, in a fast-changing environment where decisions must be made rapidly.
On top of that, my favorite part, the creativity, the aesthetics, the colors and textures. The above skills, along with my extreme motivation to create engaging and intuitive applications make me a perfect match for the role.

Because it's not only about motivation, over the last year I’ve taken a number of certified online courses on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and most recently, React.js. I have thoroughly enjoyed these courses and they have strongly reaffirmed my commitment to becoming a front-end developer.
