Lucía Aumann (Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1992) is a researcher in Critical Philosophy with studies at The New Centre (Chicago, USA, 2022-2024) and an architect from the Universidad Iberoamericana (CDMX, 2011-2017). She focuses her practice on material analysis and exploration, basing her work on the study of self-organizing systems, understanding the interaction between behaviors and information flows with their possible effects. Her approach focuses on finding the inherent properties and capacities of the materials she works with and questioning the role of the agent in these processes through concepts such as creativity and invention.

As for her artistic experience, with her expertise in working with and manipulating textile materials, she created, together with the artist Pablo Kobayashi, the piece “Lava Cloud” for Hello Wood (Zalahalap, Hungary, 2023). She was part of the production team of Geoscope II, exhibited at the Venice Biennale 2021 and in Burgau, Germany, the following year. She is one of the founders of her own studio, where she works on the development and research of textile pieces, both pneumatic and concrete, exhibited in national and international galleries and events.

She also has an 8-year career in analog and digital graphic exploration, standing out in the etching and aquatint intaglio technique. Her graphic expression is informed by her research and is part of her method of philosophical and biological exploration. She was selected as an artist in the Mini Print International exhibition in Cadaqués (Barcelona, ​​Paris and London, 2019) with her works from the "Sombra" series.
