After growing up and residing in Goshen, Indiana for most of my life, coming to college represented an opportunity to grow beyond my roots and challenge myself in ways that made me continue to develop. During my time at Indiana University, I was able to hone my interest in the human brain, while also juggling learnings related to data, coding, and analytics as I pursued a B.S in Informatics with a Concentration in Cognitive Science.

It was also during my collegiate career that I took part in many extracurricular activities in Bloomington. As a First-Generation College student, I took the opportunity to enable students just like myself by joining the Latino Male Initiative, to talk about issues impacting our community. In addition to this, I joined Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc. the largest and fastest-growing Latino-based Fraternity internationally. We focus on community engagement and programming surrounding cultural advocacy, academics, and philanthropic involvement. My involvement did not stop here, and I continued to use avenues present at IU to engage my learnings in the classroom with outside application.

I am very proud of the work I have done at Indiana University and know that my innate curiosity, problem-solving skills, technical awareness, and academic repertoire have brought me where I am today.
