Liam Hickey has been consulting for many years in different roles—as a network engineer, an analyst, a technical writer, and an instructor. His public speaking experience includes three professional seminars and experience in Toastmasters. Liam’s tendencies for analysis and attention to detail have benefitted many projects throughout the years. His contributions have earned him awards at five companies.

As a network engineer, consultant, and technical writer/editor, Liam has worked alongside SMEs, managers, business owners, and clients. He has worked at more than 30 client sites and end-customer locations during his career. Liam’s experience includes work with government, IT companies, electrical utilities, start-ups, and individual clients.

As an educator, Liam taught business English to professionals for two years in Mexico, where he also worked as a writing coach with his first PhD client for academic English. He has also served as a writing coach to other graduate students, including another PhD candidate who hired Liam as the dissertation editor through acceptance and publication. Liam is also a career coach focusing on résumé writing, interviewing, and explaining the employer perspective.

His international travel experience has broadened his understanding of people and cultures, allowing him to integrate well into a variety of teams.
