My recent position as Content Coordinator for Typsy allowed me to work in a fast-paced environment with critical deadlines. My job entails finding and contracting instructors for the platform, those that are experts in the beverage and food industries. My research allowed me to connect with baristas, mixologists, as well as learn and understand about food from around the world. I also held a position in the production department and assisted in location research and coordinating between the talent and Typsy, including scheduling and negotiating. As Gallery Coordinator at Winn Slavin Fine Art, my position has allowed me to think creatively and problem solve. While being the Gallery Coordinator, I am able to work closely with the artists and directors to collaborate on ideas that improve the gallery’s online appearance. I have also worked with TED Conferences as the Administration Coordinator. My day consisted of coordinating staff meetings throughout the TED theater, and creating projects with our Audience Engagement Team to further the growth of the organization. I have also assisted in idea creations to further our organization's exposure throughout the Historically Black College and University Career initiatives and even sparked the idea of creating what is now Black @ TED. I have participated in curating community with TED Circles. As a TED circles host, my duties included bringing the community together in conversation about various topics including Joy, Being Creative Through These Times, and a host of other topics.
I have also managed, from beginning to end, projects for The Legion Media Group, a boutique Public Relations Firm in NYC. I worked with TLMG from 2012 through 2016, culminating my time there as a Junior Publicist with the company. My job consisted of working with high profiled radio personalities and new brands just starting out. What I learned from my time with The Legion Media Group is to be creative in all that you do. I also spent some time working with SoFar Sounds, a company that creates intimate concerts all over the world. I created the guest list, researched venues, and scouted future performers. I enjoy the experience I can give to people through my gifts, if only for a moment. Working with many teams allows me to interact with multiple projects for a common goal.
I also help local chefs build their social media presence as well as provide ongoing support in the catering industry. Growing up in NYC, my grandmother always made dinner on Sundays and that was the day the family came together. Food and wine have a special place in my heart as I believe that food is great for the soul and builds community and culture.
Working creatively has always been my goal. In my career, I have appreciated the opportunity to work with innovative companies that strive to improve and create a new way of living. I think that being able to collaborate and have open dialogue is important for growth.
