I am currently interested in gaining more insight into Test-Driven Development, understanding how CI/CD and Saas have changed the work of development teams, and demonstrating fluency in Golang, Python, and Javascript by building more useable analytic, modeling, and educational tools.
My STEM background is situated in three distinct disciplines or problem areas that border on both the Social Sciences (economics, policy studies, and psychology) and Computer Science, which are: numerical modeling and simulation, energy and climate systems, consumer behavior analysis and predictive algorithms.
Applications - In professional roles I have variously planned and/or implemented: permaculture design; renewable energy site evaluation and feasibility study; home/distributed energy systems. And in coursework: classifiers and clustering algorithms; nonlinear, dynamical systems modeling (e.g. intermediate climate modeling); agent-base modeling, Black-Scholes option pricing, basic financial analysis and asset valuation.
Research - I have authored or contributed to studies on: consumer behavior in electric consumption at National Grid using statistical data and consumer analytics; simulating domestic and regional energy production scenarios in Central Asia using linear programming-based (TIMES-Markal) numerical modeling.
