I have been a team lead since 2019
Over the past two years at Helium 10:
โ Successfully transferred Chrome Extension to React and led further development, tested the system of modular replacement and continuous development of new features (~6 months).
โ Created a front-end department within the company. Was able to manage team growth from 2 to 20 front-end engineers.
โ Developed and implemented a transition from PHP (Yii) / Angular to React for multiple features within Helium 10 suite (starting with Chrome Extension).
โ Hired and onboarded new developers into our tech stack. Managed their distribution between cross-functional teams (up to 8 scrum teams)
โ Was engaged in engineersโ training and identifying their strengths so that they were empowered to work effectively. Training also included the development of awareness of values and impact that each engineer was investing into their teams.
โ Organized the interaction of the front-end team and Design team to create a custom design system for Helium 10
โ Was able to collaborate with remote team members from the USA, Serbia and Moldova. This includes planning sessions, architectural decisions and the dev work itself.
The result was a modular web application system that allows you to work with an unlimited number of teams. In most organizations teams usually donโt have a major impact on each other (it usually only happens if someone needs to change the core libraries) and can develop simultaneously. The system that we designed turned out to be very responsive and simple. It even allowed us to transition to a new state manager without having to stop working on new features and rewriting some working part of code.
About myself:
- I love challenges and new technologies.
- I know how to share responsibilities, I'm not afraid to delegate important things. Iโm also an opponent of the concept of irreplaceable people.
- I like to organize the workflow of developers, set up their effective interaction based on their interests and preferences.
- I love solving architectural and performance problems.
- I know the difference between reasonable persuasion and just telling the developers what to do;
I am looking forward to:
- Working with strong professionals, learn new things and share knowledge and experience
- Do more work planning to improve the efficiency of tasks performed
- Keep growing in every way. Especially improving the skills that are in demanded at my workplace
