Born in Rochester, New York but based out of Kobe, Japan, I am a seasoned educator with over a decade of experience specializing in English as a Second Language in the classroom as well as online.
In 2012, I graduated from SUNY Buffalo with a Bachelor's degree in Applied Linguistics with a minor in Japanese. I have worked at two pre-schools and two junior and senior high schools where I managed classes from anywhere between five to 45 students. In particular, the junior high school lessons consisted of online instruction.
Driven by a pursuit of work-life balance, I am seeking remote opportunities where my experience in online teaching can be of value in similar or entirely new fields. I navigate setbacks with effective communication and thrives on the satisfaction of being in the right role.
From managing unruly classrooms, in class and online, I have developed various means to stay organized and to ensure that tasks are completed. To the best of my ability, I find it incredibly productive and necessary to plan any task from start to finish, in as much detail as possible.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing chess and listening to Japanese music. Both of which I consider exercise for my brain.
Looking to the future, I envision a career fully remote and flexible, allowing me to excel professionally while maintaining a fulfilling personal life.
