With over ten years of experience in education and educational leadership, I am a passionate advocate for the transformative power of play in learning. As the Chief Learning Officer at The Children's Museum of the Upstate (TCMU), I oversee the development and implementation of play-based curriculum and programs for early childhood education.
I hold a Doctor of Education in Education Systems Improvement Science from Clemson University, where I conducted research on integrating play-based learning into educational systems. I also have a Professional Teaching License, a Post-Masters Certificate in Educational Leadership and Administration, and multiple endorsements in Literacy, Gifted and Talented, and Literacy Coaching. I have shared my expertise and insights on play-based learning at national and international conferences, such as The Association for the Study of Play and The International Play Association Triannual Conference. I am driven by the vision of creating a more joyful and effective learning environment for children and educators alike. Let's connect to explore how we can collaborate and innovate in advancing education through play.
