I’ve been in the tech industry for a little over 15 years and have always had a passion for software development, beginning from a young age where I dabbled with creating websites over Geocities. Over my career, I have been involved in many aspects of the industry - from IT support, professional services, both backend and frontend development to being a team lead.

These days, I find myself enjoying the challenge of simplifying and solving large scale problems. I love working in forward thinking environments and utilising new technologies. I believe my skills are best utilised when I'm able to work with a team that shares the same passion and vision.

I’ve achieved many milestones throughout my career with the list below being my most notables ones.

Achievements
• Being part of a small team (5 of us) that helped revamp iflix’s website from the ground up, a major VOD streaming presence in SouthEast Asia that focuses on bringing content to emerging markets. I was responsible for the video playback capabilities and performance was a key measure for our success. We were able to go live within 2 months and increase engagement with the mobile website by reducing load times and bringing a fresh look and feel that works well on medium to low end Android mobile devices.
• Drove the development of an e-magazine platform as part of the rebranding efforts for mig33 into migme, a leading Singapore based social media platform with a heavy presence in Indonesia and Philippines. By integrating the e-magazine platform into the main social media site, we were able to realise a significant increase in user engagement between celebrities and users post rebranding.

• Successfully pitching to MDA www.imda.gov.sg/ in Singapore to receive funding for Penroads, a travel social platform that I co-founded.
